      Right,I feel like myself as a European airsoft and gun nerd I know more about gun safety than this guy who is responsible for gun laws all over the us. Also it takes me four and a half seconds to disassemble a Glock 17 while I racked the slide four or five times to clear it. That's two seconds shorter than his second attempt where he didn't check at all

      I’m curious why you think he needs to be a firearms expert… now I understand that a general understanding of how firearms work might be necessary, but for what reason would a desk monkey need to know how to disassemble a Glock?
      Edit: i actually just looked up the legal requirements to become a firearms expert, unfortunately and potentially weirdly it makes no mention of requiring knowledge of disassembling a firearm.

    For those who may be unfamiliar, this process takes maybe 3 seconds when you know what you're doing. Including removing the magazine and assuring the chamber is EMPTY before attempting to pull the trigger.

      @@hd99dawg get whatever you want to get my guy, if you're talking polymer frame, striker fired handguns I could give you 5+ good options cheaper than glock and arguably more reliable (I don't trust the unsupported chamber) I've seen glock barrels blow up in people's hands. Personally, I carry a Canik tp9sa. $350 with a holster and 3 magazines. Roughly 8-10000 rounds down range, never malfunctioned yet. I own several of their products and have not one complaint yet. Best bargain on the market.

      Really don't care how long it took him to take the slide off, my problem is the fact that he flagged himself 7 or 8 times in about 15 seconds, as well as the person holding the camera and probably some other people in the room. I don't care if you "know" whether or not the gun is loaded, you DO NOT point it at anything you are not willing to destroy. He's in clear violation of the most fundamental firearms safety guidelines, yet this man is involved in regulation and control of firearms? Did i miss the music when i entered the twilight zone or is this the actual reality we live in? WTAF

    I love how fire arms expert doesn’t excersize precaution. Checking safe anytime you pick up a fire arm even if you know you already cleared it.

      Hate the atf but I gotta be fair here...he does pull the slide back when he first picks it up. I can't tell if there's a mag loaded in this video, but if there isn't, then it does look like he made sure it was clear.
      Regardless, abolish the atf.

      @@xWhisp23x, it does but doesn't... it doesn't have a conventional safety "button" or "switch" like most firearms, but that is because if you have ever used a Glock, you would know that the safety is actually part of the trigger (built into the trigger, to be more precise), and I only know because I own 2 different Glocks, a 43x, and a G30S... there's a reason Glock calls their pistols "safe-action" pistols, and no, I'm not trying to be rude or mean when I say any of that, I'm just explaining what I know from my personal experience in owning them... I live with my 10 year old nephew, and even he asked about the safety on them, until I showed him the instruction booklet (that comes with them), and the firearm itself after showing him that it's clear and empty

      ATF has absolutely no authority over laws. Thats why certain local authorities can just say "nah we're not enforcing that" when its just the ATF putting out a "law". The ATF can only legally enforce what congress says they can.

All the position swapping does for like semi to full is that little bar pushes on the blade inside pushing it forward which then hits the crossmember in the back of the trigger unit releasing the striker. All the swapping fork full to semi does is bush the blade inside frontwards and backwards just enough to push down on the crossmember to set it off.
