Sometimes, I really like these short little spooky stories where the main character is mostly just a window for us to explore this grim world. Kane doesn't do a lot here. The plot just happens TO him, and he has to bare witness to it. But that's okay, it's a very eerie tale and short enough to leave me wanting more.
While your Conan-readings are second the none, I wonder if you could be persuaded to do readings of more Solomon Kane stories. Solomon Kane seems really underappreciated in terms of audiobooks on RUclips compared to the other magnificent sons of old master Howard's pen. There are several of the stories that are simply not to be found, except in text-to-speech format, and that is... not exactly pleasing to the ear.
