Jason, thanks for posting. Great content, loved the info on this truck project. Been eating pistachios for years, even when they used to be dyed red back in the 1970s. Keep up the great video and truck projects. Hey, would even love to see how pistachios are grown, harvested, and brought to market. Been buying and eating “Wonderful “ brand pistachios way out here in Okinawa Japan. Thanks bro.
I bought a 1973 "high boy" a few years ago, but it was a beat-up old farm truck that was going to be too cost prohibitive to make it a nice truck again, so I sold it on. Since these "high boys" use a 34" frame, finding a clean used box for them is impossible.
They are called high Boys, not tall boy.... and that is just something they're called by owners of the truck. Not by ford. F150 were never called low Boys. And the reason the f250s were higher up pre 1977 was because in order to save money, ford used the 2wd f250 frame and adapted to 4x4. Which is why the transfer case is divorced. And uhaul has never made me remove a driveshaft. Although I do it because its too hard on the driveline if you tow a rear wheel/ four wheel drive vehicle with a dolly
2-wheel drive 250 frames were not used to save money. From 73-77, two wheel drive frames were wider behind the cab than the frames on the 4x4 models. The frame rise between 2x2 and 4x4's was also slightly different.
Front axle has been changed , 75' did not have front disc brakes, looks like the brake booster has also been upgraded . Not a bad thing , just not original.
@@CVcustoms am looking to swap the front axle of my highboy my truck being a 74 it has drum brakes and close knuckle in the front I being looking for a open knuckle disc brake axle to put on it.

I don’t understand what the comments are you did not really clean the truck, that requires soap and some elbow grease.
Needs fuel injection,
Let us know where you get the power steering kit from.
I have a 79 F100, with power steering, but steers like a tug boat...
Yes, please let us know where you get the kit. I have a 75 with the power assist i want to swap out. Thanks
What id do with a tall boy id do a drivetrain swap with a coyote 4x4 f150 and do an interior swap from the 150
