Man.. I wish I would've seen this a few days ago before I dumped like 50+ hours into mining because it looked great for money xD. A quick google search of fish prices would've had me jumping ship right away.
Late reply so apologies, but didn't get an alert for whatever reason. Mining is solid for making money and you'll have the level built up anyway :) Toss on the gem gloves and sell whatever gems you get and it does well. Fishing does some work though lol
Tis game is so fun, started playing it coz it looked very relaxed, but didn't think there was so much content and depth to it, thx for vids always learn something new
Learned some useful stuff, thanks bossman. I downloaded this game a long while ago since I've been a long time runescape player and a cooking channel I watch mentioned it and I knew it was something I'd be into, I've essentially maxed all noncombat skills (except summoning) and just recently started training my combat skills for the first time. I subscribed and look forward to watching both your older uploads and the videos to come :)
@@Ken_Cikas Not OP, but hardcore ironman is just like regular ironman except you downgrade to regular ironman the first time you die. If you have friends to play with, Group Ironman can be really fun, and Ultimate Ironman is a very large challenge. With Superheat IV you don't have to use coal, so it can be good to make the most coal heavy bars, but it is also very lategame, to the point that it often hardly mathers, if you use the cape combos of miner/bsmith
Superheat II is also amazing starting out. It cuts your coal requirement in half and you save time because you don't have to smith. It gets even faster when you unlock lava rune because you runecraft for less turns. Great companion to making javelins.
I made all my early game money selling Gold bars making well over couple million over night few hours of mining gold ore than few hours smelting bars. This also really propelled my gear above my combat level and made fighting easier. :)

Got hooked on the free version, upgraded to full plus first expansion and holy hell what is this. There is so much stuff and it all feeds into the other thing... At least I'm starting with level 80 woodcutting and firemaking plus level 50 farming...
Hey, I just wanted to know if it costs money for this full game. I tried mobile and it was great but then it said I needed to pay $10 for the full version. Just wondering if it’s the same case with pc
I think the web version is free still. Mobile used to be ad or ad free for a price and Steam has a cost but it's all different since I bought in. Whatever I have let's me use any client but I think I'm grandfathered in.
I was trying to justify spending the money to buy the steam version when I can just play it on my phone and browser. I do want the Herald dlc so that's the only thing that's different but let's be honest Im still having fun on vanilla.
Do you play os or rs3 bro kinda cool to see someone in an older age genre than me playing this stuff keep up the content. I'm just curious because alot of this is pretty common knowledge in those games In the sense that melle>ranged>magic type of combat
@@Ken_Cikas I kind of think of it as playing runescape with bots because of the "idle" aspect of it. You should try out oldschool or rs3. Rs3 has a different combat mechanic system so I'd say os is more like melvor. Its got the exact same mechanics its just in a 3d world.
Its a thieving perk from getting a merchant scroll from the merchant at around 45 thieving. It takes awhile to get it sometimes. Just make sure youve got food, thieving glove charges, and autoeat strong enough to survive a hit and you can get it while you sleep hopefully
Just curious as to when you think a base player should upgrade to the expansion. I’m level 47, mainly been mining/smithing for cash but I’ve almost got full rune. Game seems fun for now but $14 seems to be a lot for an idle game. Is there any chance of multiplayer in the future? I think I’d be more incentivized to buy the whole game if that was the case. Cheers
The expansion can be added at any time and a decent chunk can be used in the base game. Combat gear and areas are locked out until you beat the base game though. Won't be any multiplayer but I think someone tossed out a trading mod.
I made it 14 minutes into this video about 4 days ago and then I decided to download the game on my phone and realised you had to get premium to unlock everything so spent like 30 minutes figuring out the best way to buy it so I could link accounts, ended up buying it on Steam and now I've had it open ever since. Haven't really used mobile, tried it last night but the ui is horrible imo. Anyway here we are, back again to actually absorb the information this time.
Welcome and enjoy! Mobile is what I use for typical stuff all day like checking the non combat stuff or checking lightweight combat. Anything serious I'm either on Steam or the web version.
@@Ken_CikasYep, the Steam version seems nicely polished to me. Really enjoying it. I saw on another one of your videos you were discussing in the comments about combat and melee being comparatively bad. I am a melee dps player in mmo's so I just gravitated toward it and haven't worked on ranged or magic at all (attack is 25). Should I stop doing the melee thing and start working on magic?
Yea don't make the mistake I did when starting out. The various combat styles are not a choice like you'd expect from other RPG type games. You'll need them all eventually, but melee can get you to the end game. I'd just tinker around with it all and see what you like. There is a combat triangle of rock paper scissors that you'll want to memorize with each of the combat styles being good against another and worse against another. Melee is weak to magic but strong to ranged for instance.
