I can’t wait to try this one Nate, looks great. Another request - Neil Finn does a great piano version of Message to my Girl (Split Enz song). It would be great if you could teach us that sometime
I'm so glad I found your channel! Not only your teaching skills are great, but what amazes me the most is that among all the songs you can possibly choose, you always pick the songs that I happen to love the most! So learning is a double joy. Thank you! xx
A great entry into Crowded House's songbook. Looking forward to practicing this. I was fortunate to see Crowded House in! Home city of Cardiff exactly one year ago after the gig was postponed two years running due to covid.
I am so glad you did this one, Nate. I love this song. I remember it well since I was a teenager in the 80s. Yes, Im old. Ican't wait to learn it. Thanks
I just love your piano tutorials I appreciate the display on the bottom to make it easier to follow what you're playing and my left hand isn't great I only have use out of the one finger on the left hand so I appreciate the left for mist of these songs not being complicated for the left that a root base note works. Now I had a request if you can do a tutorial for Billy Joel and so it go's.
Thanks Nate, this is such a great song to cover. It brings back such vivid nostalgic memories for me of growing up in Australia, I'm sure most Aussies would agree - those opening guitar chords are epic. I find this to be such a haunting melody, although the lyrics are quite ambiguous and can be interpreted in different ways depending on the individual listening to it. Their farewell concert in 1996 on the steps of Sydney Opera House in 1996 gives me chills to this day, they are such a huge part of Aussie history. Although I still find it so sad that Paul Hester (the drummer) took his own life in 2005...this gives an insight into the melancholy lyrics for me. Thank you for cranking out all these awesome tutorials so regularly good sir, much appreciated!! 😃
Hi David! I hear you on all of this. I didn't grow up with this song, and even for me there is a deep nostalgia to it. There is a real longing just built into the chord progression and melody. I'm sure coupled with childhood memories it is super powerful!!
Can' t wait to learn this one! ( Im going to try the solo bit with right hand with chords in the left hand, do away with bass note in left!) Great lesson thank you!
Nate, this song looks SO difficult to attempt. But! I love the song and you are an excellent (patient, thorough) teacher, so I'm going to try to learn it, for sure. I've just recently found your channel and am enjoying your channel very much! Thanks you! 🙂
Definitely give it a try!! It’s in a key with a lot of black notes which might look intimidating, but honestly I think it’s on the easier end of my tutorials so if you’ve had luck with others I bet you will with this. Welcome to the channel and thanks for the kind words, have fun!
@@PianowithNate I will have to dig deep on that Nate. Most of their songs are fairly complex. I know you can work your arrangement magic. I will come up with a short list for you. Thanks for the consideration.
@@PianowithNate Hi Nate! Please do Yellow by Coldplay. I’d really appreciate it. Your videos really helped me learn to play songs with the piano. Thank you very much!

Heyyy Nate, I know i already commented, but I must say that the way you explain the notes and the (((rhythm )))of the intro at the end is amazing!! 🎶👍

That must have been amazing!
Such a lovely song! Big Crowded House fan. Thanks for this! Would love it if you could do covers for Always Take The Weather and Fall At Your Feet

I'm so glad to hear that! I wish I remembered the 80's (I was born at the end of the decade)

I can play a small piece of"You better be home soon" by CH. It would be great if you can do a tutorial ❤
Thanks
Totally forgot about this song. Another great tutorial. Thanks Nate. How about some "Steely Dan" ??
Hi Bill! Glad you liked it :)
I have yet to go through my Steely Dan phase. Any songs that would be top of your list?
@@PianowithNate the song "Hey nineteen" is kinda groovy... Steely D music seems like it would be difficult to arrange for solo piano though...😝
@@tubeytubetuber Good point. I think that almost anything played on guitar can be moved to piano with some work on it.

When will you do COLDPLAY?
Hi! Any particular song? I did do this one: ruclips.net/video/coRw0mec-cs/видео.html

👍❤😎🎶🎵
Identica alla canzone di Venditti "Alta Marea"
Bueno, con tres manos cualquiera toca el piano! 😅
Thank you Nate. I'm with @clarencewong18. Good call.
