That there are still folks left in the world that even give-a-darn about keeping their own cooking equipment clean and functional and used with care, is a testament to the genuineness Rachel brings with each of these videos. And, she will end up saving you money, from thinking you need to buy other items, since the stuff you own will look so good!
    Thanks Rachel.

Rachel, my name is Alma. I've discovered your channel & I have been binging (even in the car, lol). My mom was a wonderful cook but I didn't have enough sense to have her really teach me all these wonderful dishes. I know some, but she's gone now. She gave me her molcajete which I lost somewhere along life (which I am very angry at myself for). I want to buy another one. Can you please make a video on how to select & season one? Thank you for the love 💕 you put into your videos too!!

Candace! What a beautiful testament you gave your mother and grandmother. Those two ladies did well by you and passed onto you a great gift. So many people today do not have that simpatico with the loving art of food preparation and the joy and satisfaction you receive in watching someone close to you enjoy the fruits of your labor. There is nothing sweeter than to have friends and family gather around your table and enjoy what they are eating along with all the conversation that happens at the table. It is a way we bond and find joy in each other. I especially appreciate your thoughts about Rachel. She is a delight and a font of knowledge which she is so generous to share with us. Rachel does have that certain jenesaisquoi of making people comfortable with her as she gives herself to us and shares her talents and skills. Rachel does cook with love and she shares with us with her treasures.

Growing up mom had a whole set of copper things on display. I was always assigned to clean them with Brasso. But I like the idea of using the microfiber cloth to wipe off the oil - much better than terry towels or paper towels that leave lint behind. This is the my first time watching one of your videos and I’ve enjoyed every minute! I have used Barkeeper’s Friend for many years. I have cleaned my enamel pots with scouring cleansers that contain bleach but I won’t do that anymore. I’ll just use the bleach itself and see how they turn out. My oldest cast iron skillet is 57 years old and almost looks like new. I also use Dawn and put them on the stove to dry. When I season a new cast iron pot, I usually put it in the oven for an hour to cure. I do like your method of cleaning your pot and pans. I learned a little something here and I will be watching whichever videos of yours I can find from now on. Thank you for sharing! 😊

Thank you for sharing this very informative video on cleaning cookware! I have a spotless home and love everything just so..but wasn't sure if I was cleaning my cast iron correctly. When I saw how beautiful your cast iron was, I knew I had to find out how you did it! Thank you for responding in the video I contacted you in.
You have truly changed how I cook now! I was always so intimidated when it came to making Mexican cuisines. I would just say to my husband, let's go out to grab Mexican tonight. When I found your channel and watched how you made everything step by step and so caring..I had to try. My first recipe I tried from you was the red and green enchiladas. Oh were they delicious! I remember thinking.."Did I really make that?"
Rachel, you are a wonderful, beautiful, down to earth cook!! I am so thankful to God for finding your channel! I have my husband watching you now as well! You are family to us! Thank you for all you have shared and taught me! ~Vicki

Great info. I keep lots of Barkeeper's Friend stocked up. I grew up using SOS pads on my stainless but those things can't hold a candle to that little gold can. I just got some new Lodge cast iron pieces a few months ago. I actually sanded the inside before seasoning them. It's always exciting getting new cookware but those pans that have been seasoned with love for years are the best. Women like you are as close to that Proverbs 31 model as we will see this side of heaven. You are a precious soul.

Thank you for this video. I have a Lodge dutch oven, enameled cast iron that my husband gave me for Christmas several years ago. I love it, but the inside was stained. I love for my cookware to just sparkle, but was afraid to scrub this one. I tried your suggestion with the Clorox and water, and my dutch oven looks brand new!! Thank you so much!! Please do more videos like this, if it isn’t too much trouble. The way you teach as you go is so encouraging. I just love that you take pride in being a homemaker. Melody B in NC
