What a fantastic video. I loved your commentary on obsession. I also love Jupiter by Holst, ever since I heard it as a child. It's used perfectly in that episode of Bluey. A children's book I'd recommend to you is The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear. Keep up the great work and looking forward to future content
I agree with your plan going forward, talk about things you like and talk about things you didn’t in a constructive manner. Also, I think a First Time Readers of Narnia would be very fun. Just a little note for the future 😂. But what order should it be… that’s going to cause some upset either way
Would love a First Time Readers for Narnia!! I’m an even bigger Narnia fan than I am HP lol. As for order I’m always a fan of release order, not chronological
Thank you for listening to your fans, but also try not to take things too personally. The user you're talking about seems to be a kind person -most of the time people don't mean to sound as harsh as they may come across online. Make sure to take care of your mental health, and maybe a short break from RUclips / apps in general for a bit. I love your Harry Potter discussions ❤
While i do think its good to be balanced, avoiding negativity for the sake of avoiding negativity Im think is dishonest. Some things are positive, and some things are negative. And thats fine. All that matters is honesty.
Always have loved and continue to love how you approach obsession Jon. One of my most memorable moments engaging with you and this channel has been when you read The Heart and The Bottle on stream. Such a beautiful book that I now share to anyone that I can, and bought for my best friend last Christmas. Will have to check out the rest of Jeffers’s work.
I absolutely loved this video. Thank you for being so passionate about your obsessions and for creating this community. This truly is one of my happy places and I’m so grateful to have stumbled upon the OG pod. I sincerely look forward to book club and am so bummed when I can’t make it. As always, I’m looking forward to the next one! 🙂
Thanks for removing my name. I was very worried when I saw this thumbnail, this video really could have gone two ways. I am sorry if I came across strong, or like a jerk in any way. And of course, my opinion is just that, an opinion.
@@PokeNebula in a way yes, however it’s the thoughtfulness of removing my name that I was commending not stating a specific desire to remain anonymous. Plus, less people will read the comments than see the thumbnail.
I think we all get very angry and frustrated at things we are passionate about, we want them to be as good for everyone as they are for us, it's one reason I just CAN'T watch the HP films, I'm happy non-book readers get to enjoy the story but man is it frustrating that so many of the characters and sub-plots (and main plots) are done so dirty. Sometimes I wish I could not be so attached to the books so I could enjoy the films. Also big up to Holst, Mars is one of my favourite classical pieces, it's so terrifying (There is an entire character in the game Dota 2 themed entirely around that one song, he's called Mars and looks like a Disney villain, and the main theme from Mars plays for all players in game when he does his ultimate ability, it's hilarious). The middle part of Jupiter is very moving, it reminds me of Jerusalem, my absolute favourite hymn (although I guess Holst will have grown up at a time when most English people went to church and sang those hymns together). Also with your discussion about art: a TV show and book I'd recommend to anyone, "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett, (Note that it is NOT P.G, and Eddie Redmayne is the main character in the show) explores the idea of art being a form of prayer and is God speaking through the artist (I'm not at all religious but that idea really caught me and I love a lot of art that religion has made possible)

The chronicles of the first time readers is going to happen! Might be a year or two away but it’ll happen

Love this point. Being honest is top notch

Loved what the comment said! Glad you chimed in$
If you publicly comment that you are the person anonymized in the video, and then the creator hearts you, doesnt that defeat the purpose? O.o
@@PokeNebula difference is he's seen the video now, not just the thumbnail
