I have watched Imperial Team whole shows. The members actually complemented each other on different subjects. The captain, Mays, was very knowledgeable in many subjects. But Zeng was strong in geography.

However, the opposition are stuck on double or single figures (you can tell by the 5) so this is an absolute demolition with Zeng being the main destroyer. Good University Challenge teams normally have one person who's an absolute trivia fiend and 3 specialists. Zeng is clearly the fiend, the others might be their to cover his weak areas.
This guy was even answering questions on history, song lyrics, America, India, without even stuttering or having to think for more than like half a second. The one question close to what he was studying was attempted by someone else and they got it wrong, then he proceeded to answer correctly. I think no matter what questions they asked this guy would have dominated.

Everybody saying that Zeng carried his whole team, answered b4 the judge finished and the others didn't help. Everyone is strong at their own subject, Zeng is good at geography and sciemce. Sheriff is good at literature. Mays is good in a wide aspects of subject and Jackson is good at music knowledge. And for anyone saying Mays just copies Zeng's answer, Mays is the team captain and has to say every answer or nominate someone else. Hope this can stop the commotion. Edit: I did some research and basically this Singapore news channel is biased to Singaporeans. So for example when Rashid answered wrongly they added the laughing meme and only shows a compilation of Zeng answering, undermining the others. They also put captions like "??" or "help max" which isn't very appropriate for a news channel.

If you actually watch the whole video of the show, you'll see that everybody in the group answers and that each has their own specialty in a particular subject. All members turn to look at another member when they know he's/she's good at that subject--it's not just all Zeng having his moment, y'all. Not saying that I myself am a genius, but this video just clearly downplays all the other members and sucks up to Zeng's ass because he's Singaporean and this is a Singaporean news channel.

University Challenge is a huge quiz show in the UK that features the brightest and most intellectual students from various fields representing their school/university/college whatever and it dates back all the way to the early 60s. Singaporeans should be super proud of your lad, Zeng. Top talent

As someone who has participated in these quiz bowl things, it’s actually a part of a strategy for people to specialize in different categories instead of having them all memorize general information, so that they can go deeper into their topic instead of just skimming the surface level of everything. As you can see, everyone here is providing answers according to their area of expertise, and it isn’t just the one guy. This so perfectly described me - I am much like this guy, actually. But one thing is that I don't have the ability to remember everything permanently. I have created many different techniques for helping with this though. I only remember important things really.. it is too much effort to remember other things.
I used to have that skill, I did basic algebra at the age of 8, forced by my dad, then puberty came, I rebelled against my parent till a stage where i ran away from home. I have watched Imperial Team whole shows. The members actually complemented each other on different subjects. The captain, Mays, was very knowledgeable in many subjects. But Zeng was strong in geography.

However, the opposition are stuck on double or single figures (you can tell by the 5) so this is an absolute demolition with Zeng being the main destroyer. Good University Challenge teams normally have one person who's an absolute trivia fiend and 3 specialists. Zeng is clearly the fiend, the others might be their to cover his weak areas.

Everybody saying that Zeng carried his whole team, answered b4 the judge finished and the others didn't help. Everyone is strong at their own subject, Zeng is good at geography and sciemce. Sheriff is good at literature. Mays is good in a wide aspects of subject and Jackson is good at music knowledge. And for anyone saying Mays just copies Zeng's answer, Mays is the team captain and has to say every answer or nominate someone else. Hope this can stop the commotion.
Edit: I did some research and basically this Singapore news channel is biased to Singaporeans. So for example when Rashid answered wrongly they added the laughing meme and only shows a compilation of Zeng answering, undermining the others. They also put captions like "??" or "help max" which isn't very appropriate for a news channel.

If you actually watch the whole video of the show, you'll see that everybody in the group answers and that each has their own specialty in a particular subject. All members turn to look at another member when they know he's/she's good at that subject--it's not just all Zeng having his moment, y'all. As someone who has participated in these quiz bowl things, it’s actually a part of a strategy for people to specialize in different categories instead of having them all memorize general information, so that they can go deeper into their topic instead of just skimming the surface level of everything. As you can see, everyone here is providing answers according to their area of expertise, and it isn’t just the one guy.

This so perfectly described me - I am much like this guy, actually. But one thing is that I don't have the ability to remember everything permanently. I have created many different techniques for helping with this though. I only remember important things really.. it is too much effort to remember other things.

It’s cause he already knows those subjects so that’s why he’s studying biochemistry.

Paxman is an absolute assassin ... he typically interviews peoples.. usually with extreme prejudice.. you know you are in trouble when his voice slightly raises in volume
to be honest the editing made him look like a hero and his team mates look clueless. I watched the whole episode and Zeng is specialised in geography, while the others are much much more well-versed in arts. Zeng was basically quiet when the others "carry" him. They were a well-rounded team.
That’s not true. Add their scores individually based on their actual point (10 or 5) and guess who takes the highest? This is a balanced team but let’s not take away who the actual MVP is…………

The quiz master on this show is Jeremy Paxman, an expert political interviewer, particularly known for an interview in which he just keeps asking the British Home Secretary at the time, "Did you threaten to overrule him?" and the politician keeps trying to dodge the question, looking weaker each time because he doesn't want to give a straight answer. So in a sense this job, where he asks quiz questions to smart university students, is easier because you can say "Wrong" when they're wrong.
