Awesome reaction as always. Wellerman was filmed in the Oviedo Mall in Orlando Florida where Pattycake Productions is located. Pattycake is owned by Layne and former member Tony. And where Geoff and Voiceplay filmed most of their videos. Dream On was filmed at an abandoned school in Leesburg FL.
We all had technical problems so don't worry. Don't know how long it actually took Layne to officially become a beatboxer, but Geoff (yes Geoff can beatbox but no where as good as what Layne has become) taught him the basics and he went from there after Scott left to pursue an acting career. The one who took the high note was actually Cesar, with Omar and Eli harmonizing. Omar and Cesar are close friend and Omar kept encouraging Cesar to try the higher notes. So he asked if he could try Eli said go for it and he hit them. He still doesn't know how high he actually got and has asked not to be told. Totally understand why if I know what notes I hit in my lower registry I'll never get them, but I can get the high notes no problem (when I've warmed up and practice) For the Wellerman you might want to go to their page and get it from there. It's in their Video nit their shorts and is 1:56. So to long for a short and to short for a regular video. Peaches is the same way. You might want to check out their mini's too. Most reactors will actually do 3-4 of them at a time. The mall is where Patty Cake Productions (Layne and Tony's studio they co own and where most of their videos are filmed) located.
Thanks for the twofer. Glad you found their "shorts" - Peaches is one from the Super Mario movie, it is sung outside the Game Stop in that same mall and Geoff hits a new high note, Ab5! And Layne's daughter makes an appearance. I love Dream On and especially love their version. It's taken Layne about 20 yrs to be the best beatboxer out there. He had been VPs baritone until Scott Porter who had been beatboxer, left for an acting career (in many but also 6th season of Lucifer, and all of Friday Night Lights. Layne wanted that spot and Geoff started him and can still beatbox but no one does it like Layne. You can see him in Halo theme - do watch all of it and you find a lot of the guys early history from high school and on. There is also some very tender moments which is why this song in particular was chosen. I am so glad to have you are doing the apocalyptic trilogy. Warriors is amazing, Dream On is spectacular with those high note, and that last line. You do have to learn from the past, but trying to live in it doesn't work. I lost my husband of 48 yrs, 6 yrs ago and have found that out. The past is gone, today is here and the future is what you make of it.
Wellerman is so much fun, and they have a follow up coming soon! Cleraly they enjoy being sailors! A lot of their shorts are done in that Mall. It's where Pattycake Productions, owned by Layne and ex=member Tony, has its stuidio. Yet it stopped short. There is more to it than that which is hilarious. Dream On is just amazing.
