They definetly were worth it a few years ago, figma are my favorite toys to open and play with they’re just such quality, but lately the prices for them have just gone up like crazy, and they’ve been lacking a bit on the accessories department, so more pricey for less plastic, idk if it’s worth it, but if you do pay I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, figma are cool!

As others have already mentioned, that Twilight Princess Link is a bootleg. I have an authentic one I bought through Sideshow, and it's great. I hope Figma re-release their Zelda from Twilight Princess and their Link from A Link Between Worlds. I would gladly buy both, but not for what they cost on the secondary market (especially Zelda). It's a shame we don't get more Legend of Zelda figures.
Yeah, if they have a habit of rereleasing items that's awesome business. I would definitely like to get my own A Link Between Worlds. Just too perfect and that look is certainly more nostalgic than the realistic take of Twilight Princess, even when not a bootleg. lol
Yeah, I have all 3 Links so it'd be really great to be able to get Zelda. And I mean, Zelda has never been re-released, so I'm certain that it'll happen soon. Heck, Corrin got a re-release at some point, so why wouldn't they do the same for Zelda?
Yeah Good Smile is obsessed with their Nendoroid and statue lines more than Figma, even though I think Figma appeals to a wider audience than either of those combined. What sucks is they’ll acquire the license to huge franchises to only do one or 2 figures from it, or just a statue or Nendoroid. For some reason there aren’t more than 3 high end Fire Emblem figures in existence which just feels intuitively wrong.
The Link figures are some of the best Ive found for Zelda. Honestly thats the only ones I really like. The scale is a little small for most of my displays, with Link it works perfectly though

I’ve got like 10 Figma. They’re awesome. Most of mine are a few years old, and they’ve held up really well. The prices are getting pretty crazy, so I won’t be buying any more. I just can’t justify paying that kind of money for relatively small figures with sometimes minimal accessories. I don’t watch a whole lot of anime so most of the characters they produce, I have no attachment to. If I see one I have to have, then I may make an exception. They are usually great quality and are beautifully detailed. I love the ones I have, so if I never get any more, I’ll be happy still
I'm not a fan of FIGMAs and it irks me when I'm "forced" to buy them because S.H. Figuarts and/or some other company doesn't make the character I want in their line. The only good thing about Figma is that they do get re-released fairly often for more popular ones and they all come with a figure stand.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed There's a bunch random IPs, like for example Demon's Souls has Figmas, but then certain Elden Ring stuff is done by S.H. Figuarts as well and vice versa. I rather it all had been by S.H. Figuarts. Then, the problem with S.H. Figuarts is their quality really dips badly. I stopped actively collecting Kamen Riders from them simply because I was tired of them releasing a character and a few months or a year(s) later announcing a "shinkocchou seihou" re-release that fixes everything obviously wrong with the first release.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed I would've bought all 3 of their Spider-Man figures, but when Andrew's face got removed what was the point. At this stage I'll wait for the Hasbro 3 pack for $80+ instead of spending almost $300 for all 3 Spideys from SH. Their Dragon Ball stuff is good, but I'm not into that as well anymore either. To be honest, it's all the 3rd party and Chinese stuff that is leagues better than anything Japan is producing which is absurd to say.
My favorite Zelda is Major's Mask so the Link between Worlds is about the closest I could get for a Smash Bros display. But missed out thinking it would just sit around forever as the price dropped. My biggest issue with figma is that they're small even by import standards. SHF might be a "heroic" 5 inch for years before they started to scale up, figma was always a true 5 inch and it made them look real sus next to other lines, especially domestics. Theres a figma deadpool that looks great but is like 2 heads shorter than a Marvel Legends. It works out well for some lines like My Hero or Demon Slayer. The only figma I know I have is the Bloodborne hunter and its pretty good but there might be a few others I'm forgetting that have been real packed away
Oh that is a great Zelda game! Yeah, they do seem a bit short when mixing brands, but if you can work around that they are great. They really crush it with anime
Wow great video on some iconic video game figma. I don't have any figmas myself, I did pick up their Sonic the hedgehog as a gift for my sister. Which has the checkpoint sign, and item capsules. For years toe articulation was kind of considered pointless because you could not get figures to balance on the toe. Or worse yet a loose toe joint will have your figures fall over constantly. But Since figma has stands for extra support they get away with it. Also as nice as real metal chains are to handle. Its way better for something like the hookshot to be a moulded piece so its constantly tight for photography. A lot of chain weapons like Megatrons energon mace, or michelangelos nunchuks. Feel like a quality product with metal sure, but their not ideal for photography or posing for display. Can't help but notice Neca Leonardo leaping into Battle on a stand. That's very brave, and you don't see a lot of Neca collectors really play with them so that's nice to see. Its kind of like the cartoon opening.
Yeah, stands seem to be crucial for the toe articulation. Even Toon Shredder has them, but you have to be careful for long term stances. Thanks for noticing Leo. Lol. I’m confident enough in those Obitsu stands that I’m no too worried
As much as I like the Doom Slayer Figma (peordered on July 2021, released November 2022 and got mine on January/February 2023 from GoodSmile US), there are caveats outside of the price. One of his weapons is a little too heavy for the figure to hold, some of its elements are quite fragile (equipment launcher on his back did break for some early adopters, mine did not) and the bulkiness of the character makes it a little different to pose in some aspects. However, the detailing is incredible… far beyond what McFarlane Toys has achieved and you get all the accessories you should hope. However, it was indeed very expensive as it is one of their bigger releases. Yes, I’ll be getting the Dread Samus for the sole reason that I don’t have either the Other M or Prime 3 Samus… and I love Metroid with the exception of a few releases that left me wanting more or rethink my appreciation of video games. If the EMMI robot is any indication to be amazing, then it’ll be my final figma figure since it is mostly if only characters from content I don’t watch or play. Some of the Nendoroid are cool (I missed on Shovel Knight, oops).
That’s some great information. Thanks for sharing that. I need to start paying attention to Nendoroid. I only have seen their stuff that looks like Funko for $50 and I haven’t been impressed

Hey Jonathan cool review! There are loads of figma figures bootlegs in the market, that bad Zelda might be one of those, even tho everything else looks original, usually it s just the quality of the figure that separate them from the originals.
just checked my DX Twilight link, (also got a Zelda) and I think your friend got a dud... which really suckssssss. mine and others' faces don't look that bad... and the sword holder... yikes! I originally had the 1st Samus from Other M and Link from Skyward, but as soon as prime and twilight figures came out, I never looked back... hated Other M and wanted a more realistic Link with a badass Zelda. for toon link I went with nendoroid Wind Waker, that is a very 1 to 1 figure. for more Nintendo figures, the mentored Kirby line is amazing.
the most recent Figma I got was the DOOM Slayer, he is like alnost perfect! wish I could see a face under the visor lol. with Figma DOOM and a nendoroid Vault Boy, hope Figma does more Bethesda and ID figures.
A friend of mine gifted me with a bunch of his old figma stuff. He’d upgraded and was over it. So I think I have one of the Samus figures and maybe a Link? They’ve always been a little bit or miss. But it seems they’ve become more MISS lately. Since MAFEX and SHF have really started to shine again, I think Figma is on the back burner for most.
I think with some of the new pricing from Figma it has made them less desirable when you are priced similarly to Mafex. What saves them is that they have some solid licenses. Sounds like you have a good friend, btw! Wow
@@NostalgiaUnboxed yeah I think “industry pricing” doesn’t seem to reflect the industry standard quality in many cases. Figma seem to be a good example of that. And he is! One of my longest friend for over 30yrs! We’ve both been toy admirers and collectors since kindergarten!
Ah, well then it's no wonder he got scammed. He's definitely playing with fire paying those kind of prices. lol Anything marked down to significantly below retail, and anything that ships from China are the two major red flags to look out for when it comes to imports.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed In my country they sell tons of cheap Figma, SHF, Mafex and Marvel Legends bootleg online a lot. Definitely Overpriced. And same with Sh figurarts if you can honestly say those two tiny link figures are worth 70- 80$ I give up. I wanted to get the link in the middle but again, can't justify the price. And the second link I don't like the way it looks. The Realistic looking link figure looks like a Bootleg
So you are "rating" figmas in the Video, and in the title it says one is actually NOT a figma? Wouldn't it be interesting to others how you found out? Oh..you found out AFTER the rating?? Just doesn't make sense to me. Needs a delete & redo, matching the title.

@@EricBilsonyes, I do have Lady Maria. I have her seated on her chair and it ends up looking looks like a highly detailed statue. It's a little fiddly to get the pose just right, but so worth it.
@@Albertk96 Great!actually the versión with the chair should be the only one on sale, it feels incomplete without It.
Thanks for the response, feeling relief now 😊
@@EricBilson just take it slow and don't force any of the parts. Figma are super high-quality but also fragile. Lady Maria comes with a load of articulated cape parts that need to be removed before she can sit. I think you made a wise purchase and will love the fig! It's one of my favorite on the shelf.
I got the ALBW Link from BBTS for $40 (on sale) years ago. I love him. He’s close enough to a classic Link to suit my needs. At $40, I feel he was an acceptable value…I would not have paid $73 for him. The only other Figma I have is one of their V2 horses…which I got from BBTS for $44. It is a decent value…Link spends most of his life riding it…lol…
Edit: overall, it seems like their prices have jumped noticeably the past few years…I think you really need to be a fanatic to justify some of the prices.
Oh man, $40 is a steal. And a Link on a horse? Even better!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed And it’s the darker brown horse too. Imagine my disappointment when they later revealed a lighter brown horse that looks a lot more like Epona from Ocarina…at a higher price…
@@frankschuler2867 well, you saved money!
Just this week Im thinking to buy the figma 133
I love it! Definitely one to grab
I bought the Skull (Persona 5) figma a few years ago with birthday money. $80 for a crusty lil action figure. Never again. The price just isn't justified in my opinion, and I like nendoroids more as they're larger/more noticeable on a display and are generally not as expensive.
It's tough to justify some of their prices
I have an older Samus (Metroid Prime, I think) figma and the Falslander Ronin figma. I wanted the Lanze Reiter from the Falslander series, but the secondary market price is almost $200.
Yeah, aftermarket gets pretty wild on these. I want that version of Samus, but gotta hold off from those prices. This one was bad enough haha
@@NostalgiaUnboxed I was fortunate enough to get Samus when she first was released, so around $60.
@@vts131 the best price!
Yes, but only if you order directly from Japan, loll. Hlj and Amiami. 20% off usually on Pre-order
Discounts for the win!
I hope they're worth it......I just pre-ordered the Ultimate Guyver 1 figure!!
Just don’t get a bootleg Link like we have here. Haha
@@NostalgiaUnboxed You know.....I did think that when I was watching if it was or not.
We need a Link that is based on the 1989 cartoon! 🤗🙏👍🙋
Well excuuuuuuse me, Princess!
Yep the twilight is a ko I have the OG and is awesome
That’s good to know! So 3 out of 3 are supposed to be goodn
@@NostalgiaUnboxed yeah once I saw the face and the color of the clothes yep KO all the way, but the accessories can help if is cheap. You need to get the OG is worth it man I use to have the skyward sword version but had very few accesiries is a cool figure but I wanted all of those accessories so I sold skyward sword and bought the twilight and no regrets man is awesome I also have that Samus and yeah needed some miseles dang to long comment cheers man
@@VirussRuss I would like to get a good one and compare the two. I would love a missile with some smoke effect coming out
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Samus cost me 35 bucks from ebay just because the box was a little bit damage was frokm Canada I was scared but it did delivered wish also it had a head with out a helmet or a see trough visor
I got a used one for 10 but I have seen them for 800 not sure if it was rare or a very old figure though. I have spent 150 on one and around 60-80 for a JSDF motor cycle for my JSDF figma figures. I think they are worth it but I enjoy them.
They are certainly nice
Would've been nice if Samus included an unmasked head sculpt.
I only own a Major Kusanagi No.237 and just literally preordered Guyver No.600 😬
I hope he's worth it.
I thought the same thing and debated buying Zero Suit Samus to swap. Haha!
I hope you love it when it arrives!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Thanks. Hope you get what makes you happy.
Just noticed they rereleased AOT figs as well but feels waaay overpriced imo.
@@rickestricky1368 I think they maybe lost their mind with pricing some items haha
Good Smile Company did make the metroid samus aran figma a while back.
I have a few Figmas like Link from Skyward sword, Zelda from twilight princess, a couple of those AI singer girls like Miku, but theyre all kinda bad, the joints are weird thyre supr in consistent with paint and my favorite Card captor sakura, i changed out her normal parts for her roller blade outfit and stopped because her arm pegs are hella scary to mess with.
Oh that’s so strange! Sounds like you certainly experienced more variety than I have. I’m sorry your Sakura is having issues. Definitely don’t want to break any!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Dont get me wrong they look great it just seems their joints are fragile. Have you ever owned any revoltech?
@@AtticusRh0des I have not!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Theyre joints are ratchety so they look allright but the joints sometimes look hideous, they make a lot of Fate stay figures and a Jack Sparrow i have that looks amazing!
@@AtticusRh0des good to know and I’ll check those out
Ask and you shall receive thanks for making this one buddy!
I hope it helps!
That twilight zelda looks like a KO, need to dig mine out but it doesn't look as terrible as that.
Yeah, I think we have confirmed it to be a knock off. Haha
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Are you going to do a re-review if you get the legitimate one. Would send you mine but I live in the UK. Love your channel though, big fan:)
@@Monsterism thank you so much! If I can get ahold of one I will certainly compare the two

Haha! I’ll accept it

@@nicholashill8724 that’s very kind of you!
I am so pissed that Figma blue balled us with Other M's blast effects.
lol
I preordered the Tears of The Kingdom DX Link, it will be my first figma, I'll let you guys know if they're worth it when I get mine next year!
Awesome! I preordered as well. It looks so good
@NostalgiaUnboxed thanka for the reply, I love your videos man! Im glad you picked up that link, hopefully we get a review from you
@@jose75694 thank you
Hey Jonathan cool review! There are loads of figma figures bootlegs in the market, that bad Zelda might be one of those, even tho everything else looks original, usually it s just the quality of the figure that separate them from the originals.
Haha, yeah seems to be a bootleg. He got it for $20 so no worries I think haha
@@NostalgiaUnboxed 😂 I see
just checked my DX Twilight link, (also got a Zelda) and I think your friend got a dud... which really suckssssss. mine and others' faces don't look that bad... and the sword holder...
Oh that’s great. Yeah seems to be a bootleg, but he got both Links for a total of $40 so he still wins. A Wind Waker Link would be great to have.
@@Ryan_TheBold wow, what’s a great friendship and nice to be able to share things like this
The Twilight Princess Link figure you have is a knockoff
The real one looks a lot better, especially with the face
Yeah, haha. Oops
Me personally I would go with max factory or good smile
Right
They need to show ocarina of time some love.
The best
got the regular link between worlds for 130 :(
but i am on the look for the DX edition
just discovered these figured yesterday
The best Link Figures for sure
Lol yes the head rating system! Lol
I’m weird!
@@NostalgiaUnboxed lol I use it for mine too lol
I love figma so it’s nice to now soooooommmmmeeeeeeeeee figma is kinda worth it
The one is a knock off, but we didn’t know until after recording. Haha. Figma and SHFiguarts have a lot of knockoffs (or bootlegs), unfortunately.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed 😢sad
Figma is overpriced AF I few weeks ago I asked about a Hyakimaru and it was 120 😂😂 that figure was like 2 inches
Some of them for sure. New Samus is $120 and it doesn’t make any sense
That twilight princess is a bootleg. I have the official release. Its great. Figma does not release figures with bad paint.
Yeah :/
Oh I have that same Metroid figma🤔.
Excellent choice
Thanks👍🏿! I got her when she first came out.
@@emkhet7924 you paid a better price than I did! Ahaha

King Kazma is the one I have. Be cool to hear your thoughts
I wish I could review everything!
@NostalgiaUnboxed i mean, eventually, right? God willing
I'm thinking that Twilight Princess Link is a bootleg. I have the real deal, and it looks nothing like what you got.
Yeah, it seems to be. Haha! Glad my friend only paid $20 for each Link
Ah, well then it's no wonder he got scammed. He's definitely playing with fire paying those kind of prices. lol Anything marked down to significantly below retail, and anything that ships from China are the two major red flags to look out for when it comes to imports.
@@Synthetic_Strigiforme he picked it up locally. Even at $40 total the other Link is worth that
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Gotcha.

Oh no, the Twilight Princess Link figma you got is an actual cheap Chinese Bootleg. There are a lot of figma bootleg out there so be careful.
Yeah, luckily my friend that bought it only paid $20 for each Link lol
@@NostalgiaUnboxed In my country they sell tons of cheap Figma, SHF, Mafex and Marvel Legends bootleg online a lot. The only way to get authentic figures is buying from stores with good reputation like BBTS, AmiAmi or Play Asia.
Keep up the good work, I really enjoy your video format so you just earned a new subscriber from me.
@@ryantheanimator1156 that’s very kind of you, thank you so much!
Oof, rough luck on the bootleg, the official TP Link is just as good as the Link between worlds figma.
Well that’s a much better experience and would make a 3 out of 3 Nostalgia boys!
I just got figma Levi from aot and it's not worth the 80. he's too small for that price and delicate. The Erwin looks good tho comes with a horse.
Comes with a horse?? That’s awesome. $80 is definitely harder to say yes too. The newest Samus is $124!! What the heck?? That’s not worth it
@@NostalgiaUnboxed yeah he's 134 but he looks so damn good.
@@Jonblazen2 ouch!
We found out that third one is indeed a bootleg, unfortunately. But my friend only paid $20 bucks for it
So you are "rating" figmas in the Video, and in the title it says one is actually NOT a figma? Wouldn't it be interesting to others how you found out? Oh..you found out AFTER the rating?? Just doesn't make sense to me. Needs a delete & redo, matching the title.
Feel free to make your own video
My tp link is totally different
this one is a knockoff
The twilit princess link is a rip off fake
Yeah, haha! It’s rough
