I hope you all enjoy this video where I assemble a box out of cardboard and fabric. I then slow stitched a landscape design on the lid because I made this box to hold my little stitched landscape pictures from past videos. Normally I put my pictures in fabric books but I was inspired to make this box from the latest #Roxysjournalofstitchery prompt.
It's very beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! You made the scene become more and more rich with colors and textures as you went along. I loved it! ❤
This is wonderful! I need a place to store mine and this would be perfect. I think I'll make this first til I have enough pieces to make my first- ever book. So exciting!
Thank you Jen. That is a beautiful box. I was searching for a how to make a fabric covered box as I wan to do it from scratch and yours popped up first. I will make mine bigger though.
Jenn this is gorgeous❣️👏🏼 I love the stitching, the colours and the way you showed us the assembly. It will be an heirloom😊 Thanks Jenn, it is beautiful🌻🦋🥰
I’ve just started going through your videos and, Oh My Goodness! You do incredible work! I would love to get into your mind and learn about your creativity. I have seen no bounds and I love everything about your original and unique gifts. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and time🌸
Jenny the design is just stunning and the threads you use im in nz .. but these threads make it so great .one day please make a list of your most popular your work is anazing thankyou
Thank you so much! The yarn is from Roots and Rain Yarn. Many of my threads are thrifted though, so I’ll never know the brand as they don’t always have labels on them.
I’m making mine the same way but a little different for the top. I have the sides and bottom cut out but need to cut my chipboard. Seeing yours makes me feel better about stitching mine. Glad you did yours with no glue. My plan too. 😊
I just love your videos. I wish I knew where you got all your little scraps because those are just so perfect for the landscapes and all I have is quilting cotton. This one is so cute. I’m gonna have to try it. I think one of these days thank you so much.
Thank you! You can buy scrap packs or fabric squares online. Also thrift clothing/ fabric items and cut them up. I have also found pieces of fabric and a jelly roll type thing at the vintage market and I have a lot of fabric from when I used to make cloth dolls. But if you don’t have access to any of those, just rip pieces off of whatever fabric you do have. And whenever you trim those edges, keep the scraps for something else. ☺️
Thanks! I think I need a break from the 2x2 😆 I’m working on the book for those. Hopefully the video will be up by Tuesday. I still need to make the cover.
Not in bulk, just small packs from Etsy or other online sources. I also cut up clothing and fabric items from the thrift store and buy small cuts of fabric from the fabric store. Ask how small they can cut for you. Also check out the vintage markets.

Ok this is just to cute and cleaver. Such a pretty storage box for all your pretties. How was working on a bigger piece than a 2x2?
Thanks! I think I need a break from the 2x2 😆 I’m working on the book for those. Hopefully the video will be up by Tuesday. I still need to make the cover.
Love watching you make books.
Really beautiful. Do you buy your scrap fabrics in bulk.

All of your work is simply stunning! And, the videos are mesmerizing to watch! What kind of surface are you working on?
Thank you! The backing is felt. You could also use a piece of cotton.
@@cookingjennfer Thanks for your reply! But, what I was actually asking about was your tabletop surface?
@@MsR-4423oh! Okay. It’s a wool ironing mat. I got it from Amazon.
🤩👍🌟✨
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you so much!
