I didn’t think I could tackle the vessel prompt but after watching your video I think I can try your method. You explain everything so we’ll helping those of us that are insecure to believe we can do it too!
Loved spending time with you Becca while you worked on this. I was playing with my inktense for the upcoming new Roxy project and an idea I wanted to experiment with. Love how our craft rooms can join across time and space. I have a half started hexagon bowl sitting on my desk too, but a totally different design from the small pentagon one I made and also totally different from yours. How wonderful for so many different ways we can create 🤗 cheers, Christine
Thank you, Christine! We seem to be in sync with each other! You know what they say, “great minds think alike”….hehe…well, it seemed an easy way to approach a vessel without it being a cylindrical shape. Your other bowl sounds so very interesting. I look forward to your sharing it. I love your little pentagon bowl and especially the fabric! I think it featured the Gum Nut babies? Jeanette, from Mi Cottage Crafts also thought along the same lines as we did. I love the sharing and inspiration we provide for each other! 🥰 Cheers, Becca
I love the second vessel,Becca 😊I keep auditioning the beautiful fabrics and the two exagons you sent me in the prize because I would like to to do a similar bowl to yours. At least this is the idea that goes around in my head but it seems I lack motivation this time. It's beautiful we thought just the same❤TFS
Thank you, Giusi! If we lived closer, I could easily share some of the hexies I’ve already cut for you to make a vessel. I’m not surprised that we were thinking of doing the same thing! 🥰 xx
Hello Becca, I love this idea, I like the taller version with the full hexagon showing but both will be cute. I agree that the limited opening might be an issue ❤
Thank you, Kathryn! I actually decided on the taller bowl too, just making it 1/4” shorter so it wouldn’t restrict the opening too much. I’m so enjoying embroidering my crazy patch block while working on this little vessel. Thank you for all your inspiration! 🥰
Your voice is so calming to listen to while we watch you work 😊.
Thanks so much for your kind words! I appreciate it! 🥰

Thank you very much, Janet! I’m so happy to have been of some help, and hope you give it a try for yourself! 🥰

What a great idea for your vessel!
Thank you, Karen! It’s turning out to be lots of fun!
Love the hexagon bowl. I made one as well out of Japanese fabric it was so much fun.
Thank you Karyn! Your bowl sounds beautiful. I’ve really enjoyed this so far. 🥰
Mi Cottage Crafts did one similar, but with a different template. I like the idea of folding down the corners. Love it!
Thank you, Lisa! Yes, it seems we had the same mindset when making our vessels. 🥰
Beautiful! K3n told us about this video - ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Good idea about folding over the pointy bits. Love the fabric
Thank you Carrolyn! It will be interesting to see when it’s sewn, whether to fold or not to fold. 🥰

Beautiful fabrics. What size is your hexagon template?
Hi Barbara, Thank you! The sides are 2”. Overall height, between parallel sides is 3 1/2”. I hope this helps you 🥰
The bowls are stunning. What size are the hexes? 3 inch...or what?
Thank you, Tawny! The sides are 2”. Happy stitching! 😊
