barbossa is one of my favorite parts of the franchise, i especially love how in this one he’s like this gilded pirate pimp. they can also manage to have some good villians although they ruined captain salazar with the distracting wavy cgi hair. also love me gibbs and the two british guards from the first movie. there are other things that make the franchise lovable than johnny depp, but yeah they can’t just make the 6th one with the same people and just act like jack died off screen or something, no one will buy it.

They agree to disagree in their own unique way, they insult each other but also can't do without each other to accomplish lots of the quests. Some more, if Barbossa really died and Rush isn't in it anymore, I'm done. If there is no Johnny, the movie is never going to be the same ever. Period!!

Frida pw He hasn't really aged much really, I was thinking that maybe they'd use make up to age Jack a bit more, since it's set in the mid 17th century and people didn't age as well back then. So if anything he hasn't aged enough. Let's say Jack was around 30 in the first film, then add say 18 years that would make him 48 by the 5th film, the average lifespan back then was only 50, it doesn't make much sense.

I love how they did everything with practical effects. A lot of work is required but it pays off. Everything in the movie looks real and authentic and anything that had to be CGI blended in very well. Five star movie.

Wow, it takes a special skill to get in the zone and act without all the theatrics, sound effects and background music/sounds. This is great to see.
I love how they did everything with practical effects. A lot of work is required but it pays off. Everything in the movie looks real and authentic and anything that had to be CGI blended in very well. Five star movie.
