*Episode 6:*
When Jircniv took the throne, he took control of the entire national military, and had all of his family killed to ensure no one would contest his rule.
Also, Jircniv took away money from incompetent nobles and used their wealth to fund the military and education systems to ensue only skilled and loyal people are in positions of influence to remove losers and corruption. He started all this at 12 years old.
Even though he's the oldest prince, Barbro has very few allies or public approval. Renner and Zanac increased their popularity by actually helping when Jaldabaoth invaded the capital.

*Episode 7:*
Bit of trivia. in the Re-Estize Martial Arts tournament where Gazef earned his title, Gringham also participated, but he was defeated by Brain.
Ironically all the Workers died ironic deaths. Gringham, who was only wary of "strong monsters" was killed by thousands of weak roaches. Parpatra, who intended to use the others as bait to test the tomb's danger, was in turn used as a test for Nazarick's Old Guarders. And Erya, who refused to even give his name to Hamsuke out of arrogance, was brutalized by the slaves he mistreated and was then "erased from memory as someone with no name."
Fun fact: when they saw the first lich they thought that he was the ruler of the Tomb so they wanted to make a deal with him, only to realise that he is one of many Liches who Live in the tomb
The Light novel actually goes into detail on the differences between the kingdom and the Empire. Plainly put, the Empire is superior to the kingdom in every possible way. They have better-trained knights, and they teach magic, whereas the kingdom knows pretty much nothing about magic. They have more powerful individuals because, unlike the kingdom, people can rise up regardless of social status, and in the Empire, they are better governed with more stable leadership because the Emperor purged all of the corrupt nobles, while in the Kingdom, corrupt nobles have more power than the King. Basically, the Kingdom is a joke compared to the Empire.
P.S. That girl who was killed by Shalltear, in case your wondering what happens to her younger sisters after she dies, their parents sell them off to slavery to pay their debts and the girls die shortly afterward. So sad.

The three women are actually elf slaves who had their ears clipped which if I remember correctly, greatly reduces their strength as part of their enslavement. It’s not shown in the anime but Ainz lets them live under Aura and Mare’s command as they’re the only other elves in Nazarick.

The collars that Ainz and The lizardmen wear make it so that they Take twice the Damage but get double The xp
Ainz wanted to see how Quickly the lizardmen can level up and what their Limits truly are, He also wanted to see if he could get any levels as a Warrior to see if he could Reach a higher level than 100
The way Ainz was able to "teleport" behind Amina was by Using time magic instead of using regular teleportation Spells
Loved how Ainz was *so* furious that his emotiona suppression took a long time to actually kick in

The guys being eaten by the roaches have far worse than what is shown, in the novel it’s mentioned that the king roach can use healing and resurrection magic, so after being eaten he revives and heals them to be eaten alive again and again

Fun Fact regarding the elven slaves: As they were brought against their own will, they were excused and joined as babysitters for the twins.
The collar is item for exp buff. Explained in the novels. That’s why everyone training wears it.

@@xxxhalo4everxxx I mean, it´s both. It was most likely his intention to let them leave with that little buffer gold, but given what kind of people become adventurers/workers, he really should have seen it backfiring.
Honestly this set is the most purely FUN part of Overlord, I loved S4, but I think this is one of the peaks of the show in pure entertainment value

While the Empire used career soldiers, the Kingdom relied on conscripts. Thus, by invading during the harvest season, farmers would be separated from their fields, causing crop failures that would eventually lead to famine. By the time the Empire realized this, it had already fallen into decline. Furthermore, many of the Kingdom's nobles did not realize the true gravity of the situation. The members of Foresight might sound familiar to you. There's Michael & Lindsay Jones, you'd know from RWBY. Vic Mignona, also from RWBY and FMA. And the mage is voiced by Bulma from DBZ Abridged.

I feel that the last arc feels disjointed because it happens in a vacuum and is mainly to provide development for Enri, Enphirea and Lupis. This arc though changes the story because Momonga is now embracing Demiurge’s plan of world domination so we are seeing how Nazarik comes to change the political landscape in the world.
As extra facts, Momonga was actually very reluctant to have workers raid Nazarik and gave them several chances to step back and gain mercy so when they full on invaded he absolutely didn’t give a shit about being cruel to them.
Before they all went into the tomb, the old man actually had a duel with Momon to test him and see if he was as good as he said. He gave up brute Momon could actually retaliate after his attacks had been blocked by Momon.
The two sisters were sold to slavery much like tuare except the fact that they didn’t have their own sebas and they died.
Erya cares very little about the well-being of elves. To him, they are just dispensable tools that he can easily discard and replace if they're killed. He uses them to satisfy his lust and depravity, and when they are unable to accomplish a given task, he often used violence to remedy his disappointment.
Erya holds the half-elf woman (Imina) with disdain as much as she does for him. Due to his upbringing in the Slane Theocracy, he views her as second class citizen compared to main stock humans. He harbored perverted intentions for her, wishing to use her as a replacement for one of his elven slaves, often imagining her at his mercy.
If I remember correctly, the really weak monsters in Nazerick are zero-upkeep, like freebies, that will respawn regularly, and of course no matter how weak who doesn't like free defense and alarm bells. Stronger stuff requires them to sacrifice money like they're being taxed. Killing spookybro skelingtons does nothing but alert them.
It does suck to see the main team who die to Lord Ainz and Shelltear but you pay the price by venturing into the unkown.

These episodes didn't fuck around. So many people cried and shat their pants when these episodes came out because apparently they didn't get the memo before this that Ainz isn't a good person.

The Ministry of Magic, with its specialty in magic, spared no expense in patronizing past emperors to provide the latest in magical technology to the Empire's might. Imperial soldiers in the Empire are professionally trained and possess the latest magical equipment provided by the Ministry of Magic. The Empire's military assets also include personal guards under the direct jurisdiction of the Emperor himself, Imperial Air Guards mounted on flying beasts, and even high-level magic caster who use flight magic. Royal Air Guard: Air warfare branch of the Imperial Army. Royal Earth Guard: Elite knights who are under the direct command of the Emperor. Royal Guard: Knights specially chosen to protect the Imperial Palace. Four Imperial Knights: Four selected knights who act as the emperor's bodyguards. Eight Orders of Knights of the Empire: Knights tasked with overseeing the Empire. The Baharuth Empire is huge

Kyouhukou is a 30-centimeter-tall cockroach (this is way nobody at the tomb likes him, despite him being very polite). Kyouhukou and his children hadn't had fresh meat in a while, so they would either eat each other or the last creature that was in their lair. They would enter through all the holes their victims' body and eat them from the inside out while they are still alive and then regenerate that part so that can eat it again-- which is what happened to Hilma.
They don't state this in the anime or in Season 4, but it was so traumatizing for her that she can't eat solid foods anymore because it feels like when the roaches crawled in her throat.
Ah yes, the baptism
The situation for Arche's younger sisters is even worse than the anime lets on. When Arch doesn't come back, their father sells them as prostitute slaves (think Tuare from season 2 but without Sebas to rescue them). Looking forward to your Episode 11 reaction (which is my favorite). 9 is really good, 10 is setup, then 11-13 conclude the season perfectly. (and act as the glue that pulls all the parts of this season together).
Didn't Arche also become a sex-slave and pet to Shalltear?

according to some sources the collars around the necks of the lizard men and ainz were to boost the amount of experience you could gain (possibly by lowering your level a lil first temporarily) in short its an item ainz used to get stronger
gotta wonder what dungeons these goons have visited in the past, to expect meeting the strongest enemies first up. :P

@TheFlamingShark: In case you didn't read the LN Worker's are people who for one reason or a other didn't like the way the Adventure Guild ran things so they left and are now basically mercenaries. In exchange for not having any support from the guild there free to do any job they want. Unfortunately this means workers are most often hired to take on jobs that Border Line if not Straight Up illegal.
The transition between chapters fells odd because the anime puts all of them in chronological order instead of the intended viewing order

@@josephcrickmore53019its more just that the light novels were specifically written to take place and be seen a certain way, but the anime just put everything in chronological order, instead of how the light novels showed it. You can read the light novels in order, and be fine. I think the anime must took things that were shown as different times and put them in their "proper" place without adjusting the pacing to fix the issue that causes with how the story is told

Honeypot trap is what those smaller mausoleums where. They could have taken it if that money was all that was wanted but if they where overly greedy that would not be enough for them.
The LN goes into it but those two sister get sold into slavery to help the family debt and die of exhaustion. The LN dosen't hold back.
I think there was another version where the sisters ended up in the tomb and worked as maids but still died from exhaustion.
In the original web novel, the girl and her sisters actually get spared and are allowed to live at Nazarick. However when the LN came out, the author let viewers decide via poll the destiny of the girl, and the result were death by a small margin. Unfortunately nobody realized that her death means death for her sisters too.

Fun fact the author of LN actually did a poll on whether Arche made it out alive and the fans voted for her to live. The author was apparently mad that they wanted her to live just because she's a cute anime girl so apparently she lives the longest out of all of the team but she becomes Shaltears sex slave until she dies eventually and given how kinky Shaltear is I'm sure being her sex slave was a lot less fun then it sounds.
That was the Web Novel, not the Light Novel. Light Novel is basically the same as the anime, with a bit more time seeing her mental state deteriorate before Shalltear puts her down.

But yes, Murayama did not want to spare Arche, and when the time came for the Light Novel, he didn't ask the audience a second time.
they were speaking quite loudly, so I have no doubt he heard every word. including the bit about sisters. the assumption would be clear; killing her would harm people depending on her. female ones. presumably quite young. Suzuki may have given a damn. Ainz does not.

I'd tend to agree with what you said about the arcs feeling disjointed. The first half of season 3 is easily the weakest part of Overlord in my opinion, though I love episode 1.
