Fun fact: it was confirmed by gooseworx that Caine isn’t evil or has bad intentions, due to being an AI he doesn’t understand how human psychology works and he just tries to make sure they don’t go insane there
@@cherrygrabber7172 Wouldn't they just go to the Void? I mean, unless there's something beyond the Void, they just be lost in the data around the island.
Another interesting fact! The name of the main character "Pomni" literally sounds like the Russian word written in transliteration "Помни", which means "Remember".
Someone also put the first option through a Caesar Cipher with 17 shifts, and found that if you take the letters that are above the ones clearly shown (which appears to be PNCMM) and XDDCC, they make a code which reads GETDD OUUTT.
Caine is confirmed to be an AI meant to have the actual players enjoy the circus. So he’s probably genuinely trying to help, but was never given the ability to by his own creators.
Also explains why he couldn’t make a complete exit. If he’s an AI, he could never comprehend the world outside the digital realm, so he can make a exit door, but not the other side…hence the endless waiting rooms as he tries to come up with something he can’t understand.
Was programmed to be a video game AI that's supposed to help entertain folks playing the game for an hour or two at best. Ended up being a warden for the purgatory the "game" ended up being. Caine's doing his best, and has probably has figured out a few things, like "humans go crazy and lose all hope = bad" and "idle humans go crazy and lose hope faster, so entertain them", but it's not what he's programmed to do.
The show is inspired by “I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream”, but, instead of everything being controlled by a hate-fueled AI bent on torturing the last remnants of humanity for eternity, everything is controlled by an AI (Caine) that just doesn’t understand humans very well. So he’s not intentionally evil, just dangerously oblivious.
@@Polymerata haha shame makes me wonder what he was thinking when the first human showed up. Like oh hi there hyuuumahn, guess you’re just here forever now huh? Honestly Id never think I would laugh to a pilot as much as I did here. Between Caine acting like Spamton from Deltarune, Jax being a mischievous bunny, and Pomni having that whole moment where she kept trying to swear, as well as other scenes, GLITCH made this the perfect level of unhinged and funny and I just love it.
Its extra funny because the voice of Caine, Alex Rochen is probably even more well known for his videos in which he does a Spamton voice. Heck if anything Caine is defacto Spamton!
Tbh with Alex being the voice actor I wonder if Caine was inspired a bit by Spamton, or l if Alex was recognized as a good fit for Caine due to his Spamton voice and the two characters having similarities
The pilot is the true definition of "never judge a book by its cover". I wasn't so sure of it for the first minutes, but then the plot went on and I was like "damn, this IS good"
we didn't get kaufmo on screen, but i geniunely feel so bad about him. like kinger said, kaufmo was constantly talking about the exit... since the characters can not sleep in the digital circus, kaufmo probably thought that he would be better thinking about finding the way out, got in the same situation as pomni (as we see from the paitings of his room, there's an exit in multiple exits in the dark), realised that he probably wouldn't make it, got insane and abstracted... and good point on kinger's past. it's probably true and he lost his wife here as she, i think, got abstracted too, and he was so down about this that went insane. hope he won't be abstracted :(
The interesting thing about Kinger is that, while clearly insane, he doesn't seem like he's near any sort of breaking point. The man's been here for so long, it seems he's adapted. By living in the moment to the point where he regularly disassociates and forgets where he is, he isn't bogged down by the existential horror of his situation.
@@PotatoPatatoVonSpudsworth i think getting abstracted depends mostly on thinking about finding the way out. it doesn't seem like he is trying to do so, so he is just crazy, not in his breaking point
The fact Jax is the only animal in the troupe, has a more symmetrical design than anyone else, and seems to be the only one to direct acknowledge the audience (which Ragatha indirectly acknowledges) makes me think there’s more to him going on. I like to think his mouth only fully opens when he’s telling the truth. On a lighter note, he and Zooble are the youngest ones, which depending on how long they’ve been trapped would explain a lot.
I think if anyone's got secret knowledge, it's Kinger. Dude's been here the longest, has an older, jankier avatar, keeps talking about an "insect collection" (looking for computer bugs), displays sudden knowledge of the digital world when the food shows up, and presumably came to the circus with a partner (the Queen). According to Gooseworx he's also about 20 years older than the next-oldest character. I'm positive he was the Digital Circus's original developer, and got trapped while bug testing.
I kinda see the characters representing different coping means such as the five stages of grief. Pomni: Denial Zooble: Anger Ragatha: Bargaining Gangle: Depression (though how does she act with the other mask?) Jax: Acceptance
that's honestly not a bad way of putting it. i've always seen jax as the guy that acts so cynical because, while he still retains a selfish demeanor and sense of self preservation, he genuinely does not care anymore and continues to go along for the ride
The stages of grief can further be split into seven; Denial Guilt Anger Bargaining Depression Hope Acceptance Kinger could be Guilt And Gangle could fluctuate between Hope and Depression depending on the state of her masks.
Feels like if you go backwards (with the words represented) it would still mean the same thing in the world they live in. To further make sense of what I'm saying, the stages all lead to you accepting the outcome of a situation that you didn't want. It's you 'accepting' the outcome you're given, even if it hurts or wasn't what you thought it could be. But with Pomni and the group of people she's stuck with, it's being stuck living in Purgatory. There is no Acceptance. It's a cycle. Whether you accept it, you're going to go Mad in a world where you can't sleep. Sleep is one of the things that helps 'pass' the time, but they don't get the luxury of that. Acceptance, Depression, Bargaining, Anger, Denial. It can all be turned backwards as Pomni, though somewhat 'accepting' her fate, is falling faster and deeper into Madness. If the devs are going to go hard on this, then it would be interesting if each character became or have once Abstracted but fought back to remain some semblance of their humanity. It's to say that no matter how they cope, eventually, the Madness will catch up to them. It's inevitable. Im not trying to be a downer, I'm being theoretical and taking in hints of what the Pilot given us so far. Not every story has a happy ending, and not everyone can get a happy ending. Acceptance was never meant to BE about getting your happy ending. It's accepting all the stages and deciding how youre going to live with them. In this case, I'm unsure how it will end but it probably won't be Happy.
@@philltheotherguy1868 they trained the ai on a lot of shady stuff, were banning users because of what the ai said, and more or less gave it brain damage trying to make the ai stop generating shady stuff. for those that care about this ai dnd stuff, search "koboldai" or "novelai" are paid/local alternatives.
Fun fact: gooseworks said that jax will do things in later episodes that not everyone will agree with or even like So basically yea that's jax "i can do anything here?"
The 'game show' Kinger was talking about at 24:36 was a reference to one of Gooseworx's animation "Little Runmo", where Runmo ends up in someone's stomach and is forced to play a threatening game of Wheel of Fortune.
My thoughts on Caine and the exit door is that he probably wasn't lying about it at the end. If he's an AI like official descriptions say then he is bound within the system that houses the circus, so he wouldn't be able to let the characters out of the program if he has no way of reaching outside of the program himself. Seems he's just massively oblivious to human psychology and the distress of his "guests" and might be doing his best to distract them from the situation all of them are trapped in because entertaining and games are his intended function and his only means of attempting to keep them from breaking and going all abstracted by giving them games and rewards.
Same… Episode 2 *Episode 2 begins right from where we left off. The whole time everyone is eating, Pomni stares off into space, trying to make sense of this reality, or rather, virtual reality. Jax nudges Pomni* Jax: Yo Pomni *Pomni gets a little caught off guard* Pomni: Huh? Jax: Are you gonna eat your food or can I have it? *Pomni sighs* Pomni: Sure, I’m not in the mood for food anyway *Pomni gets up from the table* Pomni: I’m just gonna head to bed… Caine: Oh, here’s your key Pomni! *Caine snaps his fingers, and a key appears in front of Pomni, which she takes. As Pomni leaves, Jax opens his mouth really wide and finishes off everything on Pomni’s plate in one gulp. When Jax thinks she’s out of earshot, he finally speaks* Jax: So how much longer before she realizes she’s doomed to stay in this game for all eternity? Ragatha: Jax! *Ragatha throws a piece of virtual food at Jax* Jax: Well I’m right, aren’t I? *Jax turns his head towards Caine, and Caine darts his eyes nervously* Caine: Oh well uhh- would you look at the time? I have some- important matters to attend to. Good night everyone! Or- good morning, umm- bye! *Caine leaves* Jax: Well that was weird *Ragatha facepalms. We cut to Pomni walking up to her door. Her hand reaches towards the doorknob, but she pauses. By her face, we can see she is uneasy and nervous to walk into her room. After a moment, she shakes her head, takes a breath, and finally opens the door. We can see it’s a black void at first, with one white pixel in the center. But after a few seconds, pixel by pixel, it starts transforming into an actual room. Or at least, as actual as a room can get in a virtual reality. There are yellow walls, a bright blue bed with dark blue sheets, a fuzzy round yellow carpet placed underneath the bed, and two red nightstands on either side with a framed picture on one of them. All the colors clash, and we can see Pomni grimace a bit as she walks inside and lays down on the bed and goes to sleep. We then see her dream. A young adult is seen crying on the curb on a rainy night. She then sees a young man extend his hand* Man: You seem…overwhelmed. I can take you somewhere where you can get away from everything. What do you say? *The word “say” echoes as we see Pomni turn in her bed. We then cut to another part of her dream where she is in a dark room with the mysterious man* Young man: You remember the terms, right? *The young woman nods. Around her we see other people wearing VR headsets. Above each of them is a screen that shows a different amount of time that has passed. A headset lowers above the woman’s head. The man looks at someone next to him on a computer* Man: Everything ready, Charlie? *Another young man answers solemnly* Charlie: All set Aldrin… *Aldrin nods at the young woman, and she puts on the headset. As soon as she does, we can hear a few seconds of pained screaming and groaning. The girl tries to take off the headset but her whole body is paralyzed. She can barely move. Charlie looks away; eyes full of guilt, and Aldrin smirks* Aldrin: Let the games begin… *Pomni suddenly shouts and bolts out of bed. Her eyes are wide open and her breath staggers. She looks at her hands; they’re shaking* Pomni: Who were those people?? Why did they feel familiar? *While Pomni’s pandering, she glances at the picture on the nightstand. On it is the girl she saw in her dream, hugging a woman who is presumed to be the girl’s mother* Pomni: Could that be…me? *Pomni suddenly hears a sharp ringing in her ears* Pomni: Agh! Ow, my head… *Her vision becomes blurry and she lays back down in her bed. We hear muffled voices* “She remembered. WHY DID SHE REMEMBER?” “I- I don’t know Aldrin. This isn’t supposed to happen, I swear!” “Fix it. NOW” *We see Pomni go back to sleep once more*
You know...I had a nightmare as a kid somewhat similar to this. Like I was stuck in an old educational computer game with math and talking frogs. My memory of it came back watching this pilot, so definitely helped build the creepy vibe
I ADORE this pilot, and am so excited for the full series. I love psychological horror and have a personal fear of VR/digital spaces. The vibes remind me of Poppee the Performer, backrooms, Pibby, Stanley Parable…it’s just so good. I’m so getting the merch when it’s released.
Oh and of course. It’s got the vibes of old CD ROM games like that Purble Place (idk what it’s called I actually never played it) and point and click adventure games.
Out of all the characters, Jax has to be my favorite. Like he is mean but not in a annoying unlikable way. His jerky personality is way too fun that i just can't hate him 😂 And fun fact! He is voiced by the guy who voiced Angel Dust in the Hazbin Hotel pilot 😄
Kinda interesting that characters are mostly fine with his jerky antics. Like they can get mad in the moment, but not too much. Sometimes even not reacting.

I loved this pilot. All the characters are enjoyable, even jax has his charm and I'm usually not a fan of jerk characters. I can't wait to see where this goes.
My Fan Theory, all of the characters are NOT actual humans, but AI constructs created by a personality scan of whoever puts on the "Headset" - The reason they can't remember their name is that nobody is always thinking about their own name, so their name was not at the top of their mind when they put the headset on. Their shape is based on the personality scan, and without a lifetime of human memories to stabilize their personalities, each one needs to accumulate their own memories. When they over-obsess on something, their personalities become unstable and eventually "Abstract" and become the Shoggoth looking things.
My theory is that the headset copies the players brain and any memories that clash with the games codes gets overridden by the game code. Most games let you choose your own name so to have a predetermined name would clash with the games code so the games code would be chosen over the player memories. Another reason why I think the headset copies the players brain is because the headset is neatly placed on the desk and the computer is consistently on.
@@slimeblitz32 Actually, if you watch it again, the headset-computer is OFF when Pomni is going through the exit door sequence. In fact, it's the ONLY computer that is off in that room.
here is a theory during the room Pomni got nuts in (the one with the computer) there were also 5 other screens in there, all lit and now that Pomni is back in the digital circus the computer she stared at to get mad also got lit. this leads me to the theory that there can only be 6 people at a time (Caine and bubble are AIs)
@@kuripunpuri also the Queen character room during the hallway makes me think that kinger was actually the first character to get into the digital relm, together with 5 other chess themed characters because there are 6 types of pieces in Chess
With how much this series is inspired by I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, I am convinced this is post-apocalyptic: the world is destroyed, as evidenced by the computer with the VR set (presumably very expensive, high-end technology) being so dirty and grungy, and the Digital Circus is supposed to be an escape/refuge from the end of the world. Caine is an AI trying to accommodate the human's needs, but has no idea how to actually relate to the human psyche. I think one of the other characters might actually be a puppetmaster pulling the strings from behind the scenes to keep the humans there for the sake of torturing them.
people have most definitely commented on this, but jax having keys to everyone's room and saying "you've all been fine" is just implying (in my opinion) that he's been checking on everyone to make sure they are okay. Since there have obviously been those who lost it, so it's honestly sweet that since he has keys he checks on everyone. While still pranking them as well, he does care and worry for them. It also means that he is most likely looking for a way out as well, since he mentions that he has keys to everything/everywhere it wouldn't be surprising if he's been trying to find an exit, he just hasn't mentioned such since the others would assume he's starting to loose it
Jax is one of those characters you just KNOW has a heartwrenching horrifying backstory of some kind and is just trying to both make the best of it, and protect the others from the same end he's seen others find. And if he fails, he detaches himself from the problem immedately. He is a wildcard because no one will be suspicious of him, and thats all he wants.
I was hyped for this show, but after seeing the pilot i'm obsessed of this show already. With your'e reactions this is something like the 5th time i whatched it.
12:39 I like to think that Jax, despite being a jerk and keeping secrets to himself, is actually trying to look out for the other characters in his own way. He took Pomni and Ragatha to check on Kaufmo bc he knew Pomni would need to know what could happen to her if she went insane in the Digital Circus game. He has keys "everywhere,% including to others' rooms, and says "[they've] all been fine," implying he checks on everyone and their mental health/stability... before pranking them, of course. He assigned Gangle and Kinger to find Zooble's parts to keep them away from Kaufmo because he likely knew/thought Kaufmo had already abstracted, which is contagious, and both Gangle and Kinger aren't the most mentally stable (he calls them "Crybaby" and "Hoo-ha"). Later after running away from Kaufmo, Ragatha and Pomni with the bowling ball, he doesn't stop running UNTIL he finds Gangle and Kinger. He's even out of breath. In throwing the bowling ball at them and making them fall down the hole, he's taking them as far away from Kaufmo as he can, to keep them from getting abstracted. Even when Kaufmo falls down onto the Gloink Queen, she puts up enough of a fight to tire him a bit and Jax can leave with Zooble, Gangle, and Kinger on the escalator. Kaufmo get sent down into the Basement by Caine once he finds out Kaufmo abstracted. Jax bullies everyone: he pushes Gangle and steps on her broken Comedy mask, he calls Kinger names and discredits his sanity, he puts centipedes in Ragatha's room when they're the only thing she's afraid of, he uses Zooble's arm as a backscratcher, and patronizes Pomni. But despite all that, he doesn't actually want to hurt anyone, he just messes around with them because he thinks it's funny. But when push comes to shove, he protects his friends.
@@b1xssom838 Thank you! I'm glad you liked my ideas. Since writing my original comment, I've watched the full first season of Hazbin Hotel, and even though Michael Kovach isn't the voice of Angel Dust anymore (he was in the RUclips pilot and the "Addict" music video), Angel has pretty much the same personality as Jax. Kind of a smarmy, smartass, "Tumblr Sexy Boy" jerk/tsundere persona, but who still deeply cares for his friends and will protect them from harm.
I would also highly suggest watching the 3 ENA animations, they're from a similar corner of the internet. In order you'd watch Auction Day, Extinction Party, then Temptation Stairway. The voice of Pomni is 1.5 of the main characters of ENA (that'll make sense when you watch it)
I was waiting for a jump scare or a hyper realistic frame. Watching early animations on RUclips kept me on my toes 😂😂 Overall this was amazing, the story, the music, animation, character design the voice acting. I could go on forever!! I hope for more
I'd say cartoon quality goes through a cycle. The mid 2000's had complaints about cartoon quality, and then stuff like Gravity Falls and Gumball and things like that came out around the 2010's and we had stuff like Ducktales and things like that. Now the cycle is just repeating. Though there are some modern animation from the big networks I like. Also the premise makes me think of a video game creepypasta.
descriptions of the animated series from GLITCH themselves, a woman is trapped in a crazy virtual world along with five other people (Ragata, Jax, Gangl, Kinger and Zooble) and is now subject to the whims of a stupid artificial intelligence called Kane and her own personal traumas, the girl who got into the trap of the virtual world is called Remember. Kane does not understand people and tries his best to understand them, these efforts can turn out badly for everyone, he has his own animal bubble, another artificial intelligence created by Kane, a strange little creature living in his hat. The show is inspired by the story by American science fiction writer Harlan Ellison, I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream, the work takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in which a god-like artificial intelligence that has already destroyed humanity tortures the last five people alive. All of them ended up in the Digital World, which is controlled by AI; some of them have been sitting there for a very long time. And some of them got there recently.

Ive seen this a few times were people think that kinger will be the next to go insane, however if you look closer as the door, its a black chess piece that is marked off. Meaning, there was another before kinger.
I'm glad you guys liked the pilot! Glitch Productions has a Digital Circus store where you can shop for merchandise that goes back to supporting the show! They have shirts, plushies, figurines, and pins!
Caine said that the only thing he couldn't control was their minds. So... can he change their appearance? Also, I'm guessing that Caine was created by someone to like 'lead' everyone who comes into the digital world? Or was he also someone who came here as well. If he was, then he would be the first or the first few to be in there. From what I heard in russian, Pomni means "remember" so she has to remember something? I question if everyone here were people who worked with the company who made the digital world, who volunteered to check out how the game is doing, or were they people who volunteered to be of a experiment of sorts. Idk 😅
Caine likely is an AI. He probably could change their appearance, since he could stop glitching. But maybe there’s either a limit to his abilities, since he says he knows what’s going on with his all seeing eyes and yet didn’t realize anything was happening until someone fell into the void. Or cuz they don’t trust him to alter their bodies (like how he couldn’t really do anything with the exit besides looping hallways.
Caine and Bubble are confirmed to be AI programs. I think they're meant to run the Digital Circus game, but they definitely don't completely understand the human psyche. It seems they're supposed to keep kids entertained for a few hours, not adults for indefinite periods of time. That's why adults would start to go insane eventually.
A few fun facts for y’all Kingers voice actor also voice guido mista in the English dub of jojos part 5. Revali in breath of the wild. And noob saibot in mortal kombat 11. Pomnis VA also voiced Trish in part 5 And jaxxs VA voiced angel dust in the hazbin hotel pilot, diavolo in part 5s English dub, and Funtime Freddy in FNAF sister location (and beyond)
If anyone wanting to know the gist of this plot. I think this is HEAVILY based on "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" by Harlan Ellison. This is a some sort of post-apocalyptic science fiction and is set in a future where an all-powerful supercomputer, AM, has exterminated all of humanity except for five individuals, whom it torments endlessly, both physically and psychologically, as a form of sadistic punishment. The story also delves into themes of human suffering, fatal flaws of each characters, insanity, paranoia, consciousness, and the limits of artificial intelligence. I think this show will focus on characters mental health, sanity, and paranoia. I can't wait to see more!
My theory is that Jax was/is a hacker and he's the reason the glitches are happening. He clearly tries to draw everyone away from the glitches cause he knows something.
When they were teasing this show i wasn't really excited for it, i knew i would like it because i've been a fan of Glitch long before they became an animation studio, But when i tell you i got so hyped for this show only after they dropped the trailer, and despite only being one episode, has joined my roster of hyperfixations.
I'm assuming the company C & A is a company that developed the vr headset, and they tested it on an old computer which had the game digital circus, or maybe they developed digital circus for the vr headset. Caine was probably made to host game modes for the game, which is why he's an ai, and they probably f'ed up and made the circus game a reality instead of a virtual reality.
Some people think C&A is Caine & Abel or something like that, like the Biblical brothers. Caine is obviously the AI in the game, but maybe Abel is his human creator? We shall see 👀

@@acedreamer2004 Your script was also very creative! You have a good imagination and you tapped into the original material's spirit very well, which makes the room's design and possible future plot sound more plausible. Nice work!
Like Caine said, he has unfinished work to make, he can’t create exit, he’s a npc developer, and the void is his canvas. Hes working on it the stuff for new episodes
Why do i feel that Jax rudeness is his way to protect others. Like seriously. Just look at how he acts. Trying get their attention away from problems and get it on himself. Pranking them so they have something to do instead of thinking too much and getting crazy. Not to mention - just look at his sad face when he stoped running. This whole scene is also strange - instead of running away by himself like he did at the start. He take them with him🤔
I've just realized that Jax has the most "ordinary-sounding" name out of the human characters, likely bc he canonically chose it himself. But it still has funny meaning to it. Jax is like a "jackrabbit," since he's a rabbit. But also like a "jack@ss," which he tends to be. And the last bit I'm thinking is that it's like the Jacks game where you have spiked little bits of plastic (or sometimes metal) and you have to pick up as many jacks as you can before the rubber ball stops bouncing. It's a game of dexterity and speed, both of which Jax has. Plus, it's relatively easy to cheat by hiding extra jacks on you and pretending you picked them up, and they're perhaps more painful to step on than Lego bricks. The toy/game embodies Jax's personality perfectly.
The intro is to make this whole thing feel like a retro early-PC kids game (good old Edutainment games) that were primarily used to get kids used to using computers whilst also providing them entertainment and (occasionally) education whilst they were at it. We're talking pre-internet only available on CD games. Really hits the nostalgia notes with those first 5 seconds in the intro
This show was written by Gooseworxs I really recommended watching their animations short films like lil runmo, alain gets adopted, ghost of the year ect. You will see where a lot of the digital circus vibe and aethetic came from😊
Ya'll need to also check out Monkey Wrench next! It's another great indie animated series that has this fun, awesome, sci-fi adventure video game-like look to it that has great animation and action. It also a really interesting story to it as well.
This reaction is now one of the most viewed on your channel. It's up there with One Piece, Overwhatch, TF2, and Dreamworks movies. It's insane how much of a hit this Pilot is
I don't think I've ever seen a more confused face than Kinger watching both his hands being dragged along with Zooble towards the Gloink queen, and its a fucking king chess piece with 2 eyeballs and a purple robe.
Fun fact: gooseworc created the amazing digital circus, glitch productions just put into effect by animating it. The same thing also happened for murder drones, but i dont know who came with it.
When Kinger asked Zooble “You didn’t experience a game show in there did you?” That’s actually a reference to another creation by Gooseworx called Little Runmo
The way I picture Cains role in everything is that he is supposed to be the program that just creates games for the players of The Amazing Digital Circus but since players are getting stuck and losing their minds (Abstraction) he is trying to stop that from happening the best his programming allows him. So not really evil but just doing the only thing he can, entertain.
Kinger asking if they experienced a gameshow in the Gloink Queen's stomach is a reference to other Gooseworx animations, like Elain the Bounty Hunter and Little Runmo.
The cast of TADC are in a fanmade music video with lyrics made by RUclipsr Oreo, called "Digital Hallucination." They sing as their respective characters about what it's like to be stuck in the Circus mad how to cope with it. I highly recommend that y'all check it out! 😆
Love seeing these shows flourish on RUclips. It’s so much easier for them since they don’t go through the same scrutiny as these shows with big budgets. Only downside is that not everyone has the time or budget to get their vision out there.
Fun fax: JAX is voiced by the same guy who voices angle dust in Hazbin hotel and who voices N in murder drones ( one of my favourite characters in that series)
Fun fact: it was confirmed by gooseworx that Caine isn’t evil or has bad intentions, due to being an AI he doesn’t understand how human psychology works and he just tries to make sure they don’t go insane there

@@crowsenpai5625 plus that also shows that he is trying to help.
@@Kaltsit- oh he is a sweetheart, he tries his best to take care of humans TT
Instead of learning of their insane and Abstracted behavior, Caine just.

Oh that’s so cool, I love both I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream and The Amazing Digital Circus and I’ve never known this. Very cool fun fact
@@drdewott9154 I heard about that I thought that was cool!
The perfectly cut scream is so gold, that deserves to be mentioned.
@@sargentgullible2794 That part is honestly in my top five favorite moments in the pilot XD
Like the cut scream was too perfect
Clearly the real reason that Kaufmo abstracted is because everyone thought his jokes weren’t funny ;(
@@PotatoPatatoVonSpudsworth i think getting abstracted depends mostly on thinking about finding the way out. it doesn't seem like he is trying to do so, so he is just crazy, not in his breaking point
@@cherie2861 | Nah, Ragatha said it was more-so on giving in to the existential horror and "reaching your breaking point."
Wait didn't Kinger said.they can sleep but their bodies don't need sleep, like how everyone is eating when they don't need food
So what youre saying is, jax is quite literally "lying through his teeth"?
Thats a really cool idea, only way to tell jax is being sincere is when he finally ungrits his teeth
"I like to think his mouth only fully opens when he’s telling the truth." Yoooooo, I LOVE this idea!!
@@flarecoils1573 YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I think if anyone's got secret knowledge, it's Kinger. Dude's been here the longest, has an older, jankier avatar, keeps talking about an "insect collection" (looking for computer bugs), displays sudden knowledge of the digital world when the food shows up, and presumably came to the circus with a partner (the Queen). According to Gooseworx he's also about 20 years older than the next-oldest character.
I'm positive he was the Digital Circus's original developer, and got trapped while bug testing.
Anyone else realise that line about “drowning in the digital lake” probably meant Caine tried and failed to commit no life.
Personally i like to believe that one (or more) of the humans did, and caine just figured that was normal human behaviour
@@fallen_x😂 I love that and choose to believe it’s real. Especially since it seems they can’t die, Caine probably just believes it’s a human pasttime
Caine is an AI and tries to help humans, so they don't have a reason to do that, prob someone tried doing that as some other people mentioned
I kinda see the characters representing different coping means such as the five stages of grief.
Pomni: Denial
Zooble: Anger
Ragatha: Bargaining
Gangle: Depression (though how does she act with the other mask?)
Jax: Acceptance
Kinger: Insanity
that's honestly not a bad way of putting it. i've always seen jax as the guy that acts so cynical because, while he still retains a selfish demeanor and sense of self preservation, he genuinely does not care anymore and continues to go along for the ride
Eeyup
The stages of grief can further be split into seven;
Denial
Guilt
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Hope
Acceptance
Kinger could be Guilt
And Gangle could fluctuate between Hope and Depression depending on the state of her masks.
Jax is basically like someone who discovered AiDungeon and is like “oh wait I can do whatever I want? EVEN WAR CRIMES?”
Didn’t they ban edgy stuff from AIdungeon?
@@philltheotherguy1868 they trained the ai on a lot of shady stuff, were banning users because of what the ai said, and more or less gave it brain damage trying to make the ai stop generating shady stuff.

Damn, AI dungeon used to be so wild and weird, full of war crimes and porn...
I don't really miss that, the things I've seen...
AI Dungeon was traumatizing.
Fun fact: gooseworks said that jax will do things in later episodes that not everyone will agree with or even like
So basically yea that's jax "i can do anything here?"
The 'game show' Kinger was talking about at 24:36 was a reference to one of Gooseworx's animation "Little Runmo",
where Runmo ends up in someone's stomach and is forced to play a threatening game of Wheel of Fortune.
The “Wheel of Fundus”, to be precise.
It's likely he was designed to entertain children, and doesn't really know what to do with adults.
This pilot is so good I can't wait for the official series

Episode 2
*Episode 2 begins right from where we left off. The whole time everyone is eating, Pomni stares off into space, trying to make sense of this reality, or rather, virtual reality. Jax nudges Pomni*
Jax: Yo Pomni
*Pomni gets a little caught off guard*
Pomni: Huh?
Jax: Are you gonna eat your food or can I have it?
*Pomni sighs*
Pomni: Sure, I’m not in the mood for food anyway
*Pomni gets up from the table*
Pomni: I’m just gonna head to bed…
Caine: Oh, here’s your key Pomni!
*Caine snaps his fingers, and a key appears in front of Pomni, which she takes. As Pomni leaves, Jax opens his mouth really wide and finishes off everything on Pomni’s plate in one gulp. When Jax thinks she’s out of earshot, he finally speaks*
Jax: So how much longer before she realizes she’s doomed to stay in this game for all eternity?
Ragatha: Jax!
*Ragatha throws a piece of virtual food at Jax*
Jax: Well I’m right, aren’t I?
*Jax turns his head towards Caine, and Caine darts his eyes nervously*
Caine: Oh well uhh- would you look at the time? I have some- important matters to attend to. Good night everyone! Or- good morning, umm- bye!
*Caine leaves*
Jax: Well that was weird
*Ragatha facepalms. She then sees a young man extend his hand*
Man: You seem…overwhelmed. I can take you somewhere where you can get away from everything. What do you say?
*The word “say” echoes as we see Pomni turn in her bed. We then cut to another part of her dream where she is in a dark room with the mysterious man*
Young man: You remember the terms, right?
*The young woman nods. Around her we see other people wearing VR headsets. Above each of them is a screen that shows a different amount of time that has passed. A headset lowers above the woman’s head. The man looks at someone next to him on a computer*
Man: Everything ready, Charlie?
*Another young man answers solemnly*
Charlie: All set Aldrin…
*Aldrin nods at the young woman, and she puts on the headset. As soon as she does, we can hear a few seconds of pained screaming and groaning. The girl tries to take off the headset but her whole body is paralyzed. She can barely move. Charlie looks away; eyes full of guilt, and Aldrin smirks*
Aldrin: Let the games begin…
*Pomni suddenly shouts and bolts out of bed. Her eyes are wide open and her breath staggers. She looks at her hands; they’re shaking*
Pomni: Who were those people?? Why did they feel familiar?
*While Pomni’s pandering, she glances at the picture on the nightstand. On it is the girl she saw in her dream, hugging a woman who is presumed to be the girl’s mother*
Pomni: Could that be…me?
*Pomni suddenly hears a sharp ringing in her ears*
Pomni: Agh! Ow, my head…
*Her vision becomes blurry and she lays back down in her bed. We hear muffled voices*
“She remembered. WHY DID SHE REMEMBER?”
“I- I don’t know Aldrin. This isn’t supposed to happen, I swear!”
“Fix it. NOW”
*We see Pomni go back to sleep once more*

In fact, it's the ONLY computer that is off in that room.

here is a theory during the room Pomni got nuts in (the one with the computer) there were also 5 other screens in there, all lit
and now that Pomni is back in the digital circus the computer she stared at to get mad also got lit.
this leads me to the theory that there can only be 6 people at a time (Caine and bubble are AIs)

7:15 the fact they came to this conclusion that took me 3 episodes to come to is crazy lol
If what you're saying is true, that puppetmaster is probably Jax.
I’m so glad you noticed the Queen! Not many people have and it’s so cool to see other people notice it too :)
"take my money" was my exact response when i saw the plushies too lol
people have most definitely commented on this, but jax having keys to everyone's room and saying "you've all been fine" is just implying (in my opinion) that he's been checking on everyone to make sure they are okay.
This show is gonna be a trippy as hell ride and I love it already.
Dang, I love this, it’s so detailed! And makes so much sense! Two likes is not nearly enough for the perspective you have
@@b1xssom838 Thank you!
The voice of Pomni is 1.5 of the main characters of ENA (that'll make sense when you watch it)
It’s funny since Pomni’s VA also voices ENA.
14:26 came back here after the recent horror episode to you out you pre watchers!
I was waiting for a jump scare or a hyper realistic frame. Watching early animations on RUclips kept me on my toes 😂😂
Overall this was amazing, the story, the music, animation, character design the voice acting.
I figure that Caine can't make an exit because he has no concept of what the "outside" is. He's probably native to this space.
Ive seen this a few times were people think that kinger will be the next to go insane, however if you look closer as the door, its a black chess piece that is marked off. Meaning, there was another before kinger.
That was a black Queen chess piece, I think she's canonically named Queener. We'll find out what happened to her! Maybe Kinger had a wife? 👀
I'm glad you guys liked the pilot! Glitch Productions has a Digital Circus store where you can shop for merchandise that goes back to supporting the show! They have shirts, plushies, figurines, and pins!
Really glad you guys are finally reacting to ONE. We've all been asking for it and you delivered.
This show gave me OG type cartoon vibes with the old sounds and the goofy stuff that happens and I think it’s the reason I love it
A few fun facts for y’all
Kingers voice actor also voice guido mista in the English dub of jojos part 5. Revali in breath of the wild. And noob saibot in mortal kombat 11.
Pomnis VA also voiced Trish in part 5
And jaxxs VA voiced angel dust in the hazbin hotel pilot, diavolo in part 5s English dub, and Funtime Freddy in FNAF sister location (and beyond)
??? Michael kovach does not voice funtime freddy where did you even get that from
Michael kovach does not voice Funtime Freddy in the games. He voiced the character in the Fazbear & Friends fan series, but thats pretty much it
Kinger has the same voice as Revali? That is insane, you can really tell when a voice actor is good when you can't recognise the voices
@@chibimango5028 yeah my bad he voiced em in a fan series and then assumed he was the real voice, lapse in memory
Just for the record, Caine is NOT evil.
Thank you for making reaction channel that pauses, but actually said something meaningful
I can't wait to see more!
pomni is literally such a wet cat i love her so much like shes just so cute
We shall see 👀
What a great pilot, makes you both excited and scared.
I hope this show continues
Caine looks away; eyes full of guilt, and Aldrin smirks*
“Fix it. NOW”
*We see Pomni go back to sleep once more*
Mans just wrote a whole script for a comment
@@xavierortega6846
Yep
Considering that you wrote this 4 months ago, way before the teaser image and video Glitch released a couple of days ago for the next episode of TADC, your description of Pomni's room is pretty spot-on!
@@aliyahpulido953
Hol up- yeah, it is kinda close!😳
Lol I have no idea how that happened🤔Very cool though
@@acedreamer2004 Your script was also very creative! You have a good imagination and you tapped into the original material's spirit very well, which makes the room's design and possible future plot sound more plausible. Nice work!
If the show is as any good as the pilot, f*ck! This is gonna be an awesome time!
Protect Pomni at all costs!
I need Glitch to release more episodes…like yesterday! This is too good to stay a pilot!
My favorite moments in this show is when kinger dose a perfectly cut scream or when Cain says why are you like this and when he says YOU PARASITE
“No offence kinger but i always thought you’d be next to go”
“Thank you!”
Well that was definitely one of the most interactions of all time
The chess piece is a queen confirmed. Their colors are different too! Manequin are people that havent been added!
Fun fact: voice actor Jax is N from murder drone
Like Caine said, he has unfinished work to make, he can’t create exit, he’s a npc developer, and the void is his canvas.
Hes working on it the stuff for new episodes
I like how they have theory’s around Caine and the others
Why do i feel that Jax rudeness is his way to protect others.
Like seriously. Just look at how he acts.
Trying get their attention away from problems and get it on himself.
Pranking them so they have something to do instead of thinking too much and getting crazy.
Not to mention - just look at his sad face when he stoped running.
This whole scene is also strange - instead of running away by himself like he did at the start. He take them with him🤔
This entire show reminds me of the quote “Even paradise becomes a prison if you can’t leave”
I feel like Kinger screams sometimes because he forgot he is in the Digital circus and it take him a couple seconds to realize he is there lol
Anybody gonna notice that pomni's room is right across from jax's? Also...at 25:19 SHE ENTERED THE BACKROOMS!!!😱
7:04 Oh I think you'd like centaur world then, the dark horrifying themes hidden behind the fun upbeat style.
HELL YEAH!! I’m so glad that you guys are reacting to this.
7:59 He has because he's essentially the god of that world, ge belongs to it. Kinger is the longest lasting human
8:01 technically he has because he’s the AI of the digital circus
Fun fact: gooseworc created the amazing digital circus, glitch productions just put into effect by animating it. The same thing also happened for murder drones, but i dont know who came with it.
here's something interesting...Pomni is 25, Jax & Zooble are 22
When Kinger asked Zooble “You didn’t experience a game show in there did you?” That’s actually a reference to another creation by Gooseworx called Little Runmo
(At 9:39) And apparently, Hulu and Disney + have already rebooted Goosebumps.
Kinger asking if they experienced a gameshow in the Gloink Queen's stomach is a reference to other Gooseworx animations, like Elain the Bounty Hunter and Little Runmo.
I'm willing to bet the C&A name on the wall in the office stands for Cane & Able. Hinting at the fact that Cane is only part ruler.
Zooble: *dies
Sortastupidcrew: "this animation is good"
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
8:00 I mean he is an AI so yeah, technically he has been there the longest
Fun fact: if you press the comma and period keys on youtube, you can go frame by frame, rather than scrubbing painfully with the bar
The cast of TADC are in a fanmade music video with lyrics made by RUclipsr Oreo, called "Digital Hallucination." They sing as their respective characters about what it's like to be stuck in the Circus mad how to cope with it. I highly recommend that y'all check it out! 😆
All I'm gonna say is Glitch made a series called Meta Runner
Really underrated and worthy of a reaction
Glitch doesnt make the shows they fund it. They are made by different people. Like Gooseworx made this show.
ok? they still made Meta Runner@@C0ffeeGremlin
@@C0ffeeGremlinum no.
All the shows are animated by the Glitch animation team/teams, and they hierd the director of the show.
Finally someone who spoke about glitches looking like Spiderverse
This is basically .hack meets "Five Characters in Search of an Exit"
When you asked if Cane had been there the longest, he is an AI, not a real person, he created this world, and he did it to study how humans act.
Love seeing these shows flourish on RUclips. It’s so much easier for them since they don’t go through the same scrutiny as these shows with big budgets. Only downside is that not everyone has the time or budget to get their vision out there.
This show is unhinged in the best way
Glitch went from a little thing and now they are making stuff better than multi billion dollar companies. Its funny
wait till they hear kinger's VA is the same va who voice noob saibot in MK
3:45 How was it her fault? she was literally just standing there and then she fell down.
Fun fax: JAX is voiced by the same guy who voices angle dust in Hazbin hotel and who voices N in murder drones ( one of my favourite characters in that series)
Don't forget Rocky in Lackadaisy!
"some people dont mind waiting"
i fcking hate waiting
