The Shaman always leads the Natives with Sage words, usually in the form of a Mantra, which when repeated with Persistence, will Assist them and give them Resilience so that they can Endura difficult Stretch.
The shaman went up to $180, all their knives went up in price, it's getting expensive to get that little spider symbol on your knife, almost as much as a butterfly symbol.
Wtf is it with insects and price inflation? There should be a bird and reptile symbol eating those damn things and keeping them from overpopulating and ruining the balance of the ecosystem.
Just an update nick , I asked my wife for this Christmas like I said and she did get me it! How lucky am I right..... well kinda lucky, god bless her she ordered me the shaman but she ordered the fully.....serrated......shaman....lol I know I know first world problems right. Anyway were going to exchange it for the plain edge if possible but the good that came out of this is I've gotten to handle one and I love it even more than I thought I would, anyway have a great new years and thanks for all the content as always.
Just ordered the native 5 lightweight in s110v to celebrate the end of my 5 years diploma (idk how you say that in the U.S of A !) I receive it tomorrow, i'm so impatient ^^ Thanks again for covering knives we don't see everywhere. I would've loved the Shaman, but it's unavailable everywhere. In addition, it's illegal to carry any knife in France, the closest to a small traditional you are, the less trouble you'll have
Native and the manix are almost identical if it wasn't for the natives backlock I wouldn't know the diffrence. Great video as always from Dr. Shabaz. Thank you. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Love the Native 5 lightweight... Picked it over the Delica for several reasons... Made in the US... Better steel... and I personally think it looks better... Would prefer to carry my Manix 2 lightweight but people freak out when I take it out to use in public... Native... Not so much... Also... The back lock is one of the most reliable and strongest locks out there...
JS Krawz either one so small no ones gonna notice. Knife community quit being so pussified. Lookbwhats happening in Canada. Will it get you anywhere. The J media shadow government wants it all. Dont just float make a current. So you don't have to swim up stream later
Hey Nick! I was just curious on if/when you’ll be doing a review on the Centofante. I know you had a sneak preview in a stream a few months ago but I just wanted to know if a full review was coming! Thanks for the great vids!
Hi Nick, I'd love to see a Manix 2 XL and Shaman comparison as they are pretty similar. I'm looking for a decent full sized folding knife with s30 or s35vn steel, high saber grind preferably, as close to or under 5 oz as I can get, a choil, and a comfortable handle that fits someone with xl size hands. Any suggestions? Appreciate the reviews.
Leftie on the compression lock - it helps if you move your pinkie round to the lock side when shifting your grip. That helps you keep hold of the knife when using your thumb to disengage the lock.
The compression lock is not nearly as lefty friendly as people often think in my opinion. It is really uncomfortable to disengage the lock as a lefty because you have to use your thumb which leaves very little support on that side of the knife. It is completely possible to unlock but it is terribly awkward. That being said though the PM2 has a lefty specific version which is fantastic, and makes me wish that Spyderco would make left handed versions of their other compression lock knives.
$180 for a g10, s30v knife with a compression lock, versus $125 for a g10, s30v knife with a compression lock. Aka, shaman vs a PM2. I love the shaman build, but it’s not $55 better.
I was trying to find a way to sugar coat this. Not finding success. The shaman is supposed to be the native XL. it's intensional. At least that's what I've been informed. It's been many years in the making. I'm assuming you actually know this and we're being goofy. Intensionally.

Charles Collier speech 100
wow
Lol I don't know if that's really good or really bad... But I liked it 😆
Best comment of the year
And I'm not salt2 about that at all or endelaped
My wife walked in at 1:10 and asked if I was listening to Woody Allen talk about knives. You do have that Manhattan accent. Happy New Year!

But the butterfly symbol has lower QC than the spider symbol.

Octoklops Phd a budget company is soon to come that will absolutely blow these two out of the water
They now are going for $230.

Love everything they’re doing with the Native. Glad that the Shaman is doing well and excited to get my hands on a Lil’
I just got my Native 5 S35VN w/G10, I absolutely love it. I might get a Shaman next.

I might have picked this over my pm2 if it had been available in S110 a year ago. Just as functional, not as aggro. Really, really compelling.
Little did he know, the native chief was watching this video
Great video as always 👍🏼

Back lock Shaman?
So native 5 lightweight s110v or Chaparrel noble in XHP...??????
Hey Nick, would you trade in your delica for a native?
Please do a review of the ZT 0850 sub-frame lock with blue carbon fiber scales. I would really appreciate it and I really enjoy your videos!!
A Shaman in S35VN PLEASE!
I recently chose the pm2 over the shaman because there are many steels available so I’ll wait for the shaman sprint run and buy it for sure
Love the title.
Nice video Nick. I love your podcast with Tony. How about the native compared to the Chaparral? Thanks.
If Spyderco just contoured the G10 on the standard Native , that would be awesome . Shaman,G10 Native.lil Native, that would be a great video .
I’d carry both

It's the shaw man not the Shayman but Happy New Year and good review
It's more like Shah man.
Shah mon

Own the Mannix and really don't care for the ball.
Mind blown
manix lockback vs native
Why is he pronouncing shaman that way? Is it an East Coast thing?
It's shaaaawwwwwman
Seriously....sorry, I'll edit next time pal
