- This film follows Irish climber David Fitzgerald ( dv_fitzgerald), who after taking up the sport only 5 years ago travelled to the Peak District to try the hardest bouldering problems on grit. After sending Deliverance (7B+) and The Ace (8B) David set his sights on Voyager sit start (8B+)
Voyager was set by Ben Moon in 2006 and had only been climbed by two others (Niccolò Ceria and Ned Feehally) before David. It is widely regarded as the hardest route on grit.
David was filmed in the Peaks and in his home city of Dublin over the course of two months in spring 2017, while working on the route and training indoors.
David is sponsored by MoonClimbing.
Produced by Puzzleglass films
Directed and Edited by Joe O'Connor
Shot by Joe O'Connor and Sam Walker

Amazing. This is the epitome of a climbing film for climbers. No overdramatic music, slow motion, nothing. Just pure climbing. Amazing.
Thanks for the great feedback!
I love how composed this guy is. You see so many boulderers whine about skin or conditions when they don't send. David just accepts it for what it is even when everything is not going his way. Really admirable.
Well put, stranger.
If you liked this James you might like our latest film with David coming out next week! Here's a little sneak peek: ruclips.net/video/w6S3ubBVqgI/видео.html

One of the best films I've seen about men and boulders. It got my rocks off!
12:00 That climbing flow just blew my mind...
Came to the comments to look if i am the only one. Fook me, that right Hand was quick and precise.
Bloody excellent!( no pun intended)
Well done .
Great climbing and great spotting/ support .
Tasty!
The production quality was so good and the subscribers are so low all I could think while watching this was, I have to find where this was stolen from. This isn't a RUclips video its a legitimately great short film.
We've never been so happy to be accused of stealing! A lot of time and energy went into producing this film so we're glad to hear you speak so highly of it!
Check out facebook.com/puzzleglass for a better look at what we do - our YT account is very new but there's lots more to come :)

Amazing!
Relatively new to climbing and this is great motivation. Really well filmed, great analysis of problems and you guys come across really well. We’re starting to get outdoors and if we can produce anything like this I’ll be really pleased! Well done and great send of voyager!
such a good video well done!!!
Great video. Especially appreciate the training notes.
i watch a lot of films some about climbing and i can say this one has been the best produced so far, both technically and artistically. Its raw, sweet and simple and catches all climbing aspects very well.
so good!
Super sound video. Really personal. I wish all bouldering movies were like this!
Thanks Daniel! We're pleased to say we have another film with David coming out on January 24th! Hopefully you enjoy it as much as this. Here's a little look at what's in store: ruclips.net/video/w6S3ubBVqgI/видео.html
Appreciate the rundown on David's beta in the beginning and the closeups on the holds, keep doing that! Also not too much music, and the training regiment are also great.

Sick sent mate💪
Great film! He hiked the sit start.
This is so amazing! I can't believe your channel have only 90 subscribers and so few views! Like NotSure177, I thought you stole that video :D I can't wait for your next video !
Gorgeous!
Loved it! Sick send!
Turn volume up for gnarly shoe fart at 5:02 🤣
Made my day lol
Wow... just the most shite conditions for that climb and he walks it... incredible. And they seem like the chillest dudes I would actually want to climb with
Lovely video. I'm heading to Fairhead and Wicklow next month (praying for good weather), and would love some suggestions for burly dynamic boulders around 7a/7a+
How did you start your training in the beginning? im 1 and 1/2 year in to climbing and im currently climbing 6c to 7a. im wondering what kind of training i can do to not get injured but still get the most effect on gaining max strength and power? would be happy if you can give some tips :-)
15:05 L'Oreal, because you're worth it
I'm visiting Dublin for two weeks, october 1st-15. I'll be looking for climbs well I'm there. Any chance you can hook it up with a list of places to climb?
Are you only bouldering cause if your trad climbing and dont have gear I can sort you out
Amazing, from Tesla to SpaceX to Voyager. Bravo Elon!
what does the sit get?
I watch the first 20 seconds and my ears hurt me already
sweaty palms
5:02 SUPER FARTSSSSS
impressive mid-sequence shoe change 2:00
How is it possible to climb that hard in 5 years? I used to think it takes much more time to get used to the stress the tendons have to bare etc...
David reminds me a lot of a young Elon Musk.
I didnt know Elon Musk has a kid who boulders!
Would have been funny if he had down graded it, Ben would have kicked him from the team 🤣
It was way more impressive when Ben Moon put it up in his 40’s.
