There's a ton of climbing content out there on youtube these days, but to me, yours always stands out. Hard climbing with a sprinkle of your deadpan humour. 10/10 thanks for doing this
Thank you for sharing this. I think its Important to see how much time, failure and frustration is needed to send a hard route. Thats how we get better 💪🏻 Appreciate the small steps
Love it when the best climbers in the world show us their struggles! Wish more pros would do this. The send only comes after hard work and dedication. Thanks, Alex!
It's awesome seeing someone as strong as Alex having a tough go at the bouldering. Nice reminder that it happens to everyone, and not just us V6 normies!!
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I think all climbers know that feeling of failure and frustration. On top of this when your buddy is on the sending train. Hope you have a good time in Ticino anyways!
Great video Alex! I always enjoy your content. I had a similar experience this past month. My climbing was horribly, I felt disconected from my hands and feet, I kept dry firing and slipping off everything. It was confusing because I felt strong, I was training well, and eating well and nothing seems out of place. Anyway, I went of vacation and upon returning I started climbing hard again. I don't know exactly what it was, but I'm pretty sure I was just in my head way too much. Anyway, like Yannick said you will get this climbs next time!
"Good pocket" he sais 🤣 Jokes apart, it's amazing when you see the frustration on the face of a pro climber. It really reminds me that we are all going through the same process (although with different resources). This is the inevitable step we need to go trhough to get over our limits. The question is for how long are we able to endure it!
Clearly Yannick has found a better secret carrot stash ... this time. 🙂 Psyched to go and fail on something harder now .. (rather than continuing to try things that just go too easily) .. thanks.
Thanks for sharing, climbing can be a frustrating sport but thats what makes it rewarding! Really enjoy you talking about projects, e.g alphane + your project in the red and getting a better understanding how hard they are and how you train for them.
Great video! Failing IS the game. Failing is improving. Failing is training. Failing is walking in, hanging out, sessions and attempts with our friends. Failing is playing - and sending is ending. When you send, it's over (for now). We've all felt that when we send a project, we're stoked to succeed then we realise the game is over and we need to start a new game.
bro thats some quality video , prο climbing , tryhard bouldering at its finest. Its ok not to succeed , this is motivational for me at least. Keep up these kind of videos showing you are human like us :)
This is so refreshing Alex, thank you! Way more motivating than just showing the send go. Our generation thinks that everything should come quickly to us. No, we need to work to achieve what we want. It takes time and determination to get back up and try again
Hey Alex if you ever feel frustrated climbing just remember you’ve done Lucid Dreaming and sent in a flow state that is to date the most impressive feat of climbing I’ve ever seen ;)
Thanks for sharing also all those attempts and the split finger (or was this on insta). I was lately diagnosed a tendon aggrevation / inflamation and the doc told me not to climb until it's fully cured. 4-6 weeks expected. It is time for the taping video!
I've never seen this FB thing in the boulder labels before. Big Paw FB 8B+, Ephyra FB 8C+, etc. Is it a Deutsch abbreviation for sit start or something?

Wow, thank you!
"And trying one route for three months [is] not [frustrating]?"

The climbing world needs a Mellow and Alex Megos collab

“Bouldering, you need nothing” + $1000 dollars worth of crash pads.
Two of my favorite climbers in one video, yüah!
AM comes across with the best personality in modern climbing. He never takes himself too seriously but genuinely kicks ass.
Thanks Alex I liked that video, your resilience and humour came through very well , that’s why you have many fans around the world.

I was supposed to get to work but your video popped. Made my monday less monday-ish!
Great content. Love the honesty. More of this!
Thanks! Will do!
Great video... Love watching strong people climb hard... just makes you dream of those boulders...
Thank you for sharing this. You're my biggest inspiration
Had the same trip a few days ago, always fun
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I think all climbers know that feeling of failure and frustration. On top of this when your buddy is on the sending train. Hope you have a good time in Ticino anyways!
I think there's more footage in the world of Alex taping his fingers than there is footage of me, ever.
Great video Alex! I always enjoy your content.

Thanks a ton Alex!!! I love your videos and I love your climbing, you'll always be my favorite climber. Carrots for power!!!

Well said!
Appreciate the video, don't always see the trips where you come up empty handed even though failure is a core part of climbing.
4:00 the perfect advertisement for bouldering 😂😂
So sick this video, love it! You two are beasts! Keep the good work up!

Appreciate that
Great content. Like the video. Strong as f
This is the climbing content I enjoy most.

Nice to see you back at the boulders again! 💪

Excellent content! Love to see you climb whit someone else.
Thanks for the video. It shows that you can look weak on any level.
@3:08 It is said that blinking uncomfortably little can be a sign of psychopathy : (
Keep up this quality content Alex! :) ❤️❤️
I really want to go back to Ticino now 😢 awesome video guys!
More real rock climbing! Best content IMO.
Hi Alex, cooles Video. Packt den Yannick doch auch mit in den Titel, er ist doch inzwischen auch eine richtige Bekanntheit :)
What is your diet like now?
Thanks for posting the hard times also, It is relatable and inspiring.
Great content!
My friend ran into you at PMRP yesterday, just curious, are you trying one of the mega projects that's still up?
Where do i get that training thing from 0:26 ?
Yannik truly next level
Schönes Video!
Wasn't this relatively close after your finger injury? That must've played a role, right?
Was ist das denn für ein orangenes Pad, dass ihr über die Ecken legt? Danke :)
Frustriert als Boulderer bedeutet das wir uns kein schöneren Sport vorstellen können. 💪🏻😂
Love
Danke. Geiles Video!
Ich danke dir!

fountainbleau grading system ... oldschool to mention like this .. but in elder days it was more used to like trav. (traverse) or Fb
The struggle is 90% of the journey, the more the struggle the better the payoff... Conclusion, there is something wrong with us :D
i have seen electric heated gloves perhaps it could be useful for climbing just before the climb
Probs makes hands sweaty
name of the song in the beginning? please
can’t believe this dudes 29
Thats what u call "a never sending story".😛
What pants is he wearing? anyone thank you
I thinks it's patagonia
Patagonia Hampi pants and Patagonia R2 Tech Face pants
maybe the carrots are missing
Alex, you are clearly missing the most important beta. You are not using your yellow tshirt
You've been working too much on your legs!
I know!
Maybe deadlifts actually make you a worse climber, I'd finally have a proper excuse :D
bei dem crash pad-squad macht sich der ledday bezahlt
und ich will bitte den neuen trainingsplan vom Yannic, was ist da los?
Pretty weak squat mate
