thanks for the video! I just purchased a 2023 m340i and was wondering if installing this would void the warranty...guess I should wait even though it would be beneficial to install now?
Did you ever catch any oil after a year? If you didn't then it's just an advertising gimmick. I also read that BMW oils have detergents that help break down carbon deposits on the back of valves.
The PCV is super low pressure and the silicone hoses are a super tight fit so it seals really well and looks cleaner without clamps. I just installed mine and asked them the same question.
As much as I like modding and working on my car I can't believe this is really necessary. Otherwise BMW would have included it. It sure does look purdy though...
Thanks guys for checking out the DIY! Appreciate the support 🙏🏻
I just installed this on my m340i love your videos I've been watching your videos from your 335i videos

Ok… Can I make a PCV delete adaptation and connect via three-ways to “IN” in the catch can system?
Thanks for posting..
What is it again that the oil catch can does? Why isn’t there any clamps there, again?
like surely a clamp wouldnt hurt?
How do you empty it? Do you have to uninstall everything?
Will this work on a 2020 G30 540 (gen 2 B58)
Would this be the same install for a 2019 330i?
Would this fit on a 2022 X5? Engine compartment seems awfully similar
I just purchased a 2020 m340i. Did you ever experience knocking on the right side when turning your wheel.
Nope nothing like that. Did you have a PPI done on the one you bought?
No hose clamps?
What exactly does the catch can do?
no pipe fitting clamps?
that’s what i was thinking

burger motorsports should have include clamps

No clamps needed - it’s not going anywhere and low pressure
I installed it on my 2015 BMW x5 and after more than a thousand miles the container has no oil

Is it worth it ?
These engines are actually specially designed to not need catch cans so I highly recommend that you remove it
Always need a OCC
Do you need to turn the battery off and how do you empty
It
