Oh this is amazing to find. I’m doing some family history research and chasing any clues about what my late father told me. I know that I am related to a kung fu master who lived in Yantai - Dad’s uncle, I believe..?? Dad remembers him pounding his hand into a barrel full of ballbearings to harden his hands but he did this while he sat outside his shop. I believe I must be related to one of the men you’re talking about. Dad died in 2019. We escaped the Japanese in 1947; my grandparents, my uncle, and my father. I was born much later in 1980, but I live a very Northern Chinese life still and observe a lot of my cultural ways of being. My grandfather, Chia Chien Tang, was the figure people would go to in Yantai to resolve their disputes, somewhat like a community magistrate. Perhaps your sifu or someone connected to your school knows of him.
That’s some interesting family history! Well that sort of training was/is pretty common in China, and in Yantai a lot of people do it, so its not necessarily connected
Good afternoon. Congrats for your amazing research. I am very excited to see all the playlist. Can I ask you a favor? Please, did you find a mantis master named Wuang Lon Tchin or could be Wang Rong Yin. Who teach a Hua Ming Praying Mantis? Thanks a lot. Success and good vibration from Brazil
Very interesting. Many thanks :)
