I'm glad that so many of us appreciate this, but I think we need to give a bit more praise to specific aspects. The drums fucking HIT when they need to. The intensity of the guitar picking . The bass is always audible. The guitar playing + effect use obviously leads everything and is the main draw, but credit needs to be given to every piece of this band over the years.
def feel like the female vocalist on the Around EP elevates this above their other full-length stuff a bit (which I still adore) but yeah. this feels like the fleeting, fully-realized version of the band that just straight-up never was after all that needless drama. a shame. at least the music’s sick. just another comment left at the gravestone of a great band gone too soon 💚

They are pretty unique to me too. A lot of people think Whirr sounds generic but I hear differently I suppose.

Personally, the rawness of "Feels Like You" is their magnum opus. But yeah, your argument/reasoning is very plausible.
The Distressor EP has female vocals as well (from Byanca Munoz). It might be my favorite release from them.
