Acapulco gold with amz tonestack

I've built this and I'm very impressed with the AMZ tonestack, I think this is a big improvement to the Big Muff tone stack because I love the traditional tone scoop but the having the pot to adjust the mids really adds a new dimension, more so than the big muffs that use switches for different mid levels. I will trace and build a big muff with the amz tonestack soon!

Good plan! I guess the hoof is kind of based around that?

@@chimpsticks1 i think so, yes. I built the cloven hoof and it feels more of distortion box than than a big muff. My plan is to add it to the 22/7 from runoffgroove, which is my favorite big muff-like circuit

@@chimpsticks1 yeah. Unfortunately lot's of people had problems with it, maybe it's the IC from a different manufacturer being slightly different. Mine worked out great and has the sound that I hoped that the IC Big Muff would have but didn't for me. It has that tight, octave-ish robotic sustain

@@ricardostaudt4140 I seem to recall having trouble with the hex inverter tube screamer too.
I think I put the chip in a red llama in the end. This is going back some time though 🤔
The rotten apple is a great op amp big muff and definitely worth building 👍
