This observatory is in the village called Hanle. There's also a beautiful monastery on a nearby hill. I remember riding solo on my motorcycle to Hanle from Pangong lake where the lake accompanies you with its tremendous beauty for around 50km. Then the things get more lonely where you can't see humans for as much as 20km. It's a desolate route with almost non existent roads. And then as you near Hanle the landscape becomes much greener. The people in Hanle are really hospitable and friendly.
It was one of the best times of my life to ride from Pangong to Hanle.

Now we have all the access to electricity but magical views in sky are gone.

Its magical....seems like laying in a cot and gazing it eternally, counting the shooting stars to make a wish come true.....and now , when I am in Port Blair, the city lights makes such skies a rare and forgotten memory......

I spent a couple days and a couple hundred dollars travelling to cherry springs Pennsylvania to see the milky way. I was very excited. But I discovered that the sky doesn't look like it does in all of the pictures you see. There are no clouds, nebulae, color streaks, galaxies. There's just a bunch of little white dots and a foggy band of stars going through them. Don't get your hopes up. There is no where on Earth where you can see this. Don't bother.

We have no reason to be proud of when we ignore other problems we have like castism , rapes , dirty streets , falling economy , population , bad politics. Instead of saying they we are proud to be indians show the pride by doing ur part for making our country great. No one wants read whether u are proud to be indian or no in the comment section.
