God bless Rob and Mary for giving you an experience like this, and in turn sharing it with the world ❤ ... Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
I escaped from the UK straight after University during the time that Thatcher was saying "if people have no job in the north of England they should move" and I did but a little further than she intended!. Got a job in Australia from a small 3 line advert in the Sunday Times, and intended to stay for a maximum of 3 years. 44 years later I am still here. Lived in Adelaide for 20 years then Brisbane with small escapes to Santiago, Chile and New Orleans, USA with lots of international travel for business and holidays in between.. The world has so much to offer and you guys are demonstrating that in bucket loads. I love your infectious curiosity and positivity and that is surely why thiis fantastic couple invited you to explore their amazing farm.
A big thank you to this lovely couple for inviting you to their farm and give you the royal tour. I actually found it fascinating how this farm operates.
As an Australian, you are so lucky. There's no experience you could do this unless you knew someone or if you worked there. So many of us don't even go out to rural country areas. They were so lovely to let you in their home and you were so thankful. Love watching this stuff - it's so unique!
What a blast! An amazing farmer. Well done to him and you both. You had an experience that few Australians will ever have. What an incredibly humble farmer.
Wow! That tractor he let you drive Glen, would have been worth millions. What a kind farmer to take so much time out to show you around. Great vid 😊 keep up the good work. From south Australia 😊
Great stuff guys! Our Aussie farmers are the best. Very special experience, them taking precious time out of their day to show you around! I hope another farmer takes you on an outback helicopter muster! Keep pushing your comfort zone Mado! Australia will throw you a few that’s for sure. They will be memories you’ll never forget. Love watching you both explore this beautiful vast country I call home. 👊🏽😊
What an awesome experience that this great farmer gave two really deserving, wonderful people. Well done Rob you have done something special for us all. Farmers make the world go round and without farmers and their dedication where would we be. Great content Glen & Mado
This was an absolute fantastic video, thank you both and to Rob for inviting you. I appreciate you had to cut some video out as it was quite long - is there any possibility for an 'uncut video' or 'extras' of this farm experience? Loved watching it so much I want more! 😊Thanks!
Thanks, we glad you liked it! Our videos are pretty much "uncut" as we usually put everything we experience in the video. The rest of the time we spent with the family having lovely chats and meals.🙂
You will always cherish this particular experience because it was so wonderful and varied and unique very few experience what you two just did in the Murray Irrigation region you have experienced an amazing time thanks to not just wonderful towns people around the Sunrasia area but the Farmers also hats off to all of them for being such gracious thoughtful hosts. It is heart warming to see just how much you both appreciate what you are experiencing, New Zealand as you both know is a wonderful place but different to Australia but between both Countries you get to experience almost all the world can offer nature wise and between both countries a vast range of cultures and all the worlds foods, Pretty good deal when all said and done
Great video guys, glad you got a taste of real Australia. Although all farmers everywhere work very hard, our farmers have so many challenges due to the environment and the sometimes years of no rain, this country would be lost without them.
What a top bloke and so nice of him and his wife to welcome you two and show you what they do on the land. That was interesting and was a great video. Gleno needs a lot of plank walking practising. 😂
You’re one brave woman, Mado❤. The look on your face is priceless. Not many tourists would have this experience of a working farm and educating viewers too. Thanks for the ride.
Very friendly people in the Riverina region... Australia's food bowl. It's great that your both showing the real aussie in both the city and bush. Really enjoy watching your adventures, safe travels and enjoy.
This was such a brilliant experience guys, thank you for your generosity and care free attitude toward embracing what Australia and our people have to offer. Thanks also to the farmers for accepting Glen and Mado to your farm and way of life it was so great to meet you through Glen and Mado. I can't wait to see your next adventures guys, stay safe out there 🎉🎉
I’m so impressed with your content…discovering farming & its people. Farmers are the backbone of this country. Thank you for paying tribute to another side of Australia. Enjoying every minute😬
What a great experience. And such a lovely example of Australian hospitality. Mado, you're so brave. My heart went out to you watching you bravely sitting in the back of that tiny, little (old - 1979!) plane. I would have been massively nervous too. Good on you for giving it a go.
Perhaps old chronologically but well maintained, kept in a hanger & maybe with relatively low air miles. I have friends that locate their cattle for mustering using an even older Cessna but mustering only happens for a couple weeks once or twice a year. Being 650 km from the capital city they occasionally fly but logistical factors means they more often just drive. But the plane is good for local regional travel. Their cattle station is 500,000 acres, a lot of square kilometres.
Mado, it's called looming when you turn cotton into strings. Both of you though have probably experienced what no other traveler in this land has ever done. What a rare opportunity you have grabbed out of your schedule from this admirable man. Hats off to all three of you!
Isn't looming when you turn threads into cloth, as in weaving??... Turning cotton into threads is simply called spinning, on a spinning wheel, I think you'll find.
OMG - I'm a city boy - lived in Melbourne and Sydney and never experienced what you guys did on this recent video! Loved what you've shown us - especially this one! Good on you Mado on the plane - I'd be just as nervous as you were! :) Thanks for sharing guys!
Well you must have survived! It's an old looking plane. That was funny. Just when you think you're in the middle of no where and nothing to do, you find this farm.
when the farmer was walking through his greenhouse it reminded me of my late father when he took people for a walk through his veggie garden and he would tell you what he was growing. He liked to pick out a lovely hot radish for you to try. Thanks for bringing this memory back :)
What an amazing opportunity to experience farming in Australia. You are very fortunate to have met such an open man who wanted to share his life. We love watching your vlogs❤.
Those farmers are so lovely to invite you on their farm . These are true battling Aussies and you have experienced the real Australia . I just loved your video ♥️
The wrinkly Tomatoes are heirloom tomatoes lovely on toasted caraway rye bread with either Philadelphia cream cheese or Avocado & a little pepper 😊👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
What a great experience came your way. Such a friendly and industrious farmer. You are right about how dependent Oz is on irrigation . The Murray/Darling River system is the major source of water for irrigation and the states of NSW, Victoria and SA have heated debates about water allocation along the whole system. Sometimes the flow to the Murray mouth is very low.
Take a gold star out of petty cash Mado, well done young lady you should be very proud of yourself. I worked on a cotton farm in Wee Waa NSW and it's hard yakka. Huge thankyou to Old Mate for the stroll around his backyard. I live on a cattle station now where the yakka is still hard but the produce walks around. And they are destructive stupid things but who doesn't love Black Angus. Happy trails young wanderers, loving your video's here in Northern NSW 💙
Part of the reason that cotton is not more widely grown in Australia is the water demand. Some farmers were building dams and taking water from the river system and causing problems for irrigation systems in use further down the rivers.
Very brave Mado to fly when it scares you. It was a great opportunity to spend time on the farm. It’s a hard life in Australia. Really enjoyed watching this.
Well done Mado with the flight; Me too. Regarding Australian farming; Australian soils are generally very old and infertile. To make it work, economy of scale needs to be applied, hence the large farms. Cotton though, is a water intensive crop.
Love your vids but when you go to Alice Springs be very careful its dangerous there now lots of crime just warning you because you both are rather trusting especially Glen. Uluru is amazing!
Awesome vlog!! from Perth but i was born & bred in the WA bush (wheatbelt) until i moved to Perth for work when is 18. (those were wonderful years growing up on the land). I went back to the bush again as an adult for 10yrs with last place up Nth in Broome for 3yrs before heading back to Perth for good now living close to the beach. Many tourists never get to experience what you have just seen being welcomed onto a fully working farm by an awesome farming family. Yeah i have been in plenty of those small planes so common to see on farms these days which is so much fun (unless you have a fear of flying of course)
More Australians, who live in cities, need to come to the country to show their children where we get out food and produce, like cotton, wool and hemp etc. Australia’s farming landscape is so diverse.
Hats off to the farmer who gave his time to both of you so you could enjoy this great land 😊
Such a gentleman! such a nice family to come across. we an amazing time with them.
I agree
Yeah, but how does he find time to pump iron?
@@frankmartin3057😂😂😂 People who work with their bodies…
Yep great video guys… what an awesome bloke to share all that experience with you.

Thanks for watching! He's a legend
What a blast! An amazing farmer. Well done to him and you both. You had an experience that few Australians will ever have. What an incredibly humble farmer.

From city too farm. Now you're getting the real Australian experience
What a lovely man and a fantastic experience
*Mado is so brave*
Even though she is scared - she still pushes through.
She might not realize it - but that is what real courage looks like. ❤
Aww thank you🥰 I was so terrified but glad I did it!
What a ripper guy (excuse the pun) that farmer was. Such an interesting tour of his farm.

Mado is facing her fears more and more every day. That's living life to the full❤
That farmer pilot guy is natural media talent
(like Mado and Glen too)
far to honest and natural for media.
he was great!
A true Aussie farmer and so generous showing the country to Glen and Mado 🇦🇺 Thanks
The life you're living and the memories you're making. Absolutely priceless!

That was remarkable guys. Could watch this sort of thing for hours. Can't wait to see the next installment. ❤

There's nothing to scared of with flying in planes - they've never had one get stuck up there yet. They all come down eventually! 🤣
Take a gold star out of petty cash Mado, well done young lady you should be very proud of yourself. I worked on a cotton farm in Wee Waa NSW and it's hard yakka. Wow, I live in Mildura and grew up in Coleambally woohoo
What a great bloke that farmer was to invite you for that experience. Glen and Mado, do you think you'll take up farming?
Honestly would love to live of the land in the future and stay in a tiny house which is the goal!
I haven't watched this yet, but I CAN'T WAIT! :) You guys are awesome and I'm loving your adventures around Australia. Ok, I'm pressing play now :D
Amazing episode guys, luv ur work 💛

Very brave Mado to fly when it scares you. It was a great opportunity to spend time on the farm. It’s a hard life in Australia. Really enjoyed watching this.
Love watching your adventure can’t wait for your next one its like watching a series on tv love you both
You could tell it was a 1979 plane by the ashtrays on the seat backs.
she was a little beauty though!
Wow what a wonderful experience!😍 very nice!🤗
Good video, a great experience for you both, the word you were both looking for was “spinning”, when the cotton is spun into a thread. Safe travels.
Well done Mado with the flight; Me too. Regarding Australian farming; Australian soils are generally very old and infertile. To make it work, economy of scale needs to be applied, hence the large farms. Cotton though, is a water intensive crop.

Love your videos Glen and Mado. Such a refreshing perspective. Enjoy your time here. 😀👍
Thanks so much, we're loving exploring this beautiful country.
Great video. Fascinating
Another great upload. Just watching the last few seconds, dude! I guess you never miss leg day ...

Love your vids but when you go to Alice Springs be very careful its dangerous there now lots of crime just warning you because you both are rather trusting especially Glen. Uluru is amazing!
You're facial expressions were hilarious, but bravo to you both, especially Mado xxx
Two planks would have been nice but the shovel was a helpful bit of improvisation.

I think Maddo needed a stiff drink after the air trip lol
Never jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane 😂
#1 50+ on the back of your neck n collar bone! Shoulder and back if no top on😊 and plenty of lip balm (the stuff without sunscreen)
Had a bit of Billy Bob Thornton in Landman about him. Great insight, thanx.
Hello guys. You should visit big Vietnamese Chinese town in Cabramatta NSW, if you have a chance 😊
I hope the aircon was working for Maddo in the Cessna.
Is there anything that Maddy isn't scared of?
