ah good old cruiseirl - brings back the memories. Lord of the Rings :D it felt back then in Dublin, that it was mainly Civic/Tegs/Starbos/Scoobies/Sunnies and you would rarely see a twinner. They weren't as common, but we all knew about the docks down Waterford where many a donut was made.
Waterford has always been a buzz spot for the 86, it still is and has left a huge impact on the younger guys too, the sheer amount of them in the local area these days is crazy.
I've recently stumbled upon your channel, it's awesome and I'm hooked. Nice to know how the shed came to be keep up the good work LADS!!!!!

I've been in love with both AE86s and Silvias for longer than I've had my license (and yes InitialD was involved in that :D). Sadly over here in Germany it's next to impossible to get an AE86. I've looked into importing one from Japan, but even there the prices are so prohibitively high, I can't afford one except maybe a rusted wreck...For now I've set my eyes on a Silvia, still I'd still love to own a Hachi one day. Maybe I should look in Ireland :D

nice to see people who are passionate about ae86 and cars, i have struggled to explain my love of ae86 to people many times, and its true they all do say the same thing "its just a shitty old corolla" but true ae86 fans its more then just a car, its a car no expected any thing and boom it become a racing icon and blow every one out of the water and now your one of the lucky few in the world who can they say they owned and drove one of the most notorious and iconic Japanese in world.

I’m Honda mad but the more juice box I watch the more I want an ae86 some day, I’ve known of juice box since the ol Facebook days just write ups but only recently got into the RUclips and I’ve loved every video.
Why I love the AE86? Well, Initial D introduced me to them, yes, but I began to do research of my own, and I found one in a junkyard a few years back. I needed a cheap car, and this was cheap-enough, so I bought it, and my father, uncle, and I all went to town and fixed up this hatchback Levin. I began to love it on the first drive, and now, I've kept her in the best condition I could. Despite the fact my daily-driver's a little red Civic, the AE86 is still in the garage for track-meets and stuff.
One of the main reasons I love this series with your ratty old Trueno is it reminds me so much of finding the Levin, and working day-and-night to fix it up. If I'm ever in Ireland, you bet I'd love to meet you and see the ol' shitbox. Might even try to bring mine.
Best of luck with the Eight-Six, man. I hope she comes out as good as you hope, and much better than my ratty old Levin.

How I become addided at ae86's my dad did road rallying in the late 90's/00 and the ae86 the such a reliable and quick car just with simple mods done to them in the the welsh lanes standing on a wet junction was amazing my dad sold his ae86 limited back in 2000 and something to a guy that come from Ireland and he bought to twincams from over here he when on the plane landed in Exeter bought that one from up there then drove that ae86 over 200miles to pick up my dad's ae86 and then go home on the ferry home
