For the unused space: Set up a "confessional" area so you can do, well, confessional shots like they did in "The Office" which can be really funny for RPGs.
"It's going to go great!" (cut) "that did not go great"
For display cases, I used Billy cases with glass doors from Ikea. They look really classy and are pretty low profile, just 11" from the wall to the front which is surprisingly important.
Lastly, it's been a pleasure to watch your channel grow, SDub. From your original posts on reddit to a full fledged bidness this is pretty great.
I also use Billy. I use white cases and put in the glass shelves, which really make your minis stand out, and its nice that the shelves are adjustable, I use more shelves in glass than what it came with in the white wood shelves , so more bang for the buck per bookcase :D

Awesome place! Empty section recommendation = The Green Room for podcast and other guests to hang out before a broadcast , needs a couch, mini fridge tv is perfect and a snacks set up.
That's one sexy office space. It's so thoughtfully planned out. All you have to do is walk in, fill your water cup and get going! Also there is NOTHING wrong with the amount of labelling you did. The amount of organization in this video gave me all the happy brain chemicals

Coming into the world of "cable non-management" working in small town factories, I remember my first trip to a high end plant in Germany and seeing what excellent cable management could look like. LOVIN' what you've done. :) The whole new studio looks top class, totally rocks. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

About SDI vs HDMI. As you said, HDMIs are not the greatest for longer runs, what you can get without breaking the bank, is an SDI to HDMI converter. They are way cheaper than new cameras. Black Magic Designs make the best converters imo.

The Ikea Milsbo is a nice display cabinet, its twice the size of the Ikea Detolf and looks much more refined.
I have the Detolf and Im happy with it, but my needs are probably less than Scotts and most other painters.

For glass cabinets - you should see if you have anyone who makes glass/acrylic fish tanks in your area. They use thick and heavy enough materials, and are used to accounting for large weight loads (water is heavy... and also wet...). They should be able to source and make you the sort of thing you're looking for! Lovely space mate - look forward to consuming all the content you keep making!
Regarding the soundproofing- I'm really glad you asked permission before doing something with another person's property.
Look at those office slippers! practical and comfortable!

Try looking at an antique store for a display cabinet. I'm using what used to be a supply cabinet for a chemistry lab from a university. It has huge glass doors and some burn marks for legit character.

I have the exact keyboard (typing on it now) and LOVE it. Used the same one from 1999-2015 and replaced in kind. Can't be beat.
seeing you achieve a space this sick makes me really happy for you and is crazy motivating too, makes me so stoked to hopefully upgrade my studio space this before the year is out.
Mechs vs minions is really easy to learn as they just walk you through it. Also, it is a campaign but not one you can’t drop and pick up a year later. I bought it during its first printing and have played it on and off again ever since and still haven’t finished it but I’ve got no problem with that as I know anytime I want to play I can pick up where we left off and jump right in no problem.
To answer your question though, I’ve got Sleeping gods on my shelf since March and every time I break it out to learn it I end up packing it all back and putting it on the shelf to look at for a while longer. Not sure what my hurdle is on it, I just have a mental block on wanting to learn it.

For the display cabinets use Ikea Billy Oxburg bookcases. Glass doors that are full length and you can do like Adam Savage did and paint the doors black and then put LED strip lights inside to light the contents. Don't know what colors you can get them in offhand, but I'm sure if you wanted something a bit more "METAL!" you could paint them whatever color you want.

Get an office wall divider and add soundproofing foam to 1 side on wheels instead of the blankets so they still look good if they end up in camera shot, and if not you can hang the blanket on it too.

Few ideas for the space you’re not sure about:
1. Library / chill out space
2. Cinema area. Might be cool to have some comfy chairs, popcorn machine and big screen to watch movies or some of the longer videos you create.

Im so happy to see this all come together. Its insane the growth of the channel and how much youve invested back into this. I clearly dont understand youtube financials because I genuinely dont get how you can invest this much into your channel when I see channels with 10x the size struggle to stay afloat with a quarter of the production value.

Epic! Simply wonderful. Yours is the first miniature painting channel I started following when I started the hobby a few years back. Can’t wait for the painting set to it’s first nuln oil spill.
a wee safety headsup for your recharging batteries. The chips in the circuit boards CAN fail, leading to a lithium battery overheating fire.(Which can destroy the building!) So, simply turn them on each day BUT turn them off each night when you're not there. This will be written in tiny lettering in the recharger manual if the company is honest. basically only charge batteries when you're around.
Maaaate this is an awesome job. I'm in full on nerd mode over the lighting, sound and camera rigs 😆. Enjoy putting your new set up to good work!
