Thanks for the good info. Now i know my mistakes in doing cake pop
I have only used candy melts and paramount crystals for my cake pops, not chocolate or oil. Which do you prefer (which gives you less problems)? Also, any idea why the candy melt runs off my pops in a sheet and why I sometimes see oil droplets on my pops? Thank you for any advice.
Chocolate is definitely yummier, but candy melts harden up nice and quickly and doesn't need to be tempered. It can sometimes run off if you have scorched your chocolate (as in heated it too quickly and it becomes lumpy). You need to also add maybe a bit more paramount crystals so that it's really nice and loose chocolate...even drippier than you think it should be! Hope that helps :)
Just remember every bit of oil you add to thin out ur chocolate whether it be Paramount crystals or Crisco as the kids pop becomes room temperature that oil has to go somewhere and it does separate from the chocolate.
I've switched to using coconut oil to thin my candy melts and haven't had a problem since. No more paramount crystals for me! 😁
o another question when l put it in the freezer for how long, and then put in refrigerator how long
Such a great video! Thanks! I’m wondering where u bought ur fake pop stand from !???
May I ask what kind of chocolate is the best to use for cake pops.
I'll definitely give it a go soon!
Yay! 🥰💕
Also can you make a video for cake pops from beginning... How to make and frosting and all..
Hi when you take cake pop out the freezer and put in refrigerator how long should l wait before doping
Have you found the answer yet 😅
Hi just
wanted to ask How many days in advance can I make your cake pop recipe and when should I cover with chocolate?. Thank you
Hi, I am having a hard time getting candy melts to the right consistency, they are to thick .Do you have any suggestions? When I try adding a thinning agent like coconut oil then the coating drips off the pop.
How long can I keep naked cake pops in the freezer before using? Thanks in advance
After I decorate, what is the best way to store them until sale? I do craft shows.
What kind of vegetable oil? Like canola?
So from the fridge they can go straight into the chocolate?
Have you made those cake popsicles that are trending? Those large ones?
Thanks for sharing
I'm new to this and I was wondering when you add vegetable oil to make it soupy do you taste a difference?
You don't! If you're worried about tasting anything at all, I would go with coconut oil :)
How many candy melts do you need to cover 150 cake pops?
Were those store bought cupcakes? Or did make them in a cupcake pan?
Cake poos are great treats for kidss birthday parties and not messy❤
Can you do cake pops a day before?
You sure can! Even a few days is totally fine
No fail cake pot how fun
❤
Hi does anyone know where she got this cake pop drying thing from with the holes?
Unfortunately it was a custom made stand from this tiny little cake supply store that is no longer in operation. However, I've seen many pop up on Etsy!
Awe man wish I had this for Thursday I failed so bad lol ended up just making cakeballs covered in chocolate ganash
Awww been there my friend, been there!!
do you dip them after you take them out the fridge or does that cause cracks too? Like should they be room temperature
When they come out of the fridge they’re good to go for me to dip!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you! Also after you decorate them the day before how do you avoid condensation after taking them out the fridge or do I just leave them out until then?
This is helpful thanks!
So glad you found it useful!
Did you use tempered chocolate or candy coating/candy melts?
I’ve used both, but I believe in this video I used candy melts?? I can’t remember! Lol. Candy melts is definitely the way to go for expediency, but I prefer tempered chocolate for taste for sure.
How to make the different frosting?
Can I use liquid food colour and can I use whipped cream as frosting
The liquid food gel will cause it to seize up! Anything fat soluble will be compatible with your chocolate. You can use whipped cream too, but you will need to refrigerate and you might not get the best texture.
Thanks!
Have you found that freezing them and then thawing keeps them moist or dries them out?
I find if I refrigerate that’s when I get the drying out. The freezer seems to not make much of a difference
How much oil to chocolate?
My cake pops started oozing or leaking is that because I used too much frosting in the mixture?
Yes! I would go with a ganache to get rid of leaks
This video was a life saver! Thank you so so much! ❤❤
So glad it helped!
Hey can you make a video on how to make frosting for cake pops..
I have a few frosting videos!
Ratio of chocolate and oil can u please specify here
Are wilton’s cookie sticks too big for cake pops?
It's all about the thickness, so I think if you're talking about the ones that I am thinking of then yes--a bit too thick!
Τελικά πόσο λάδι σε πόση σοκολάτα?
Επίσης, τι γίνετε με την λευκή σοκολάτα? Προσωπικά με δυσκολεύει πολύ.
Ευχαριστω😊🇬🇷
This video was really helpful! Thank you!
How to avoid moist in cakepops when taken out of the fridge.... The chocolate usually moist..
Why doed my candy melts bloom after i dip
How soon after does this happen?
What size ice cream scoop?
I believe it’s a 1-3/8 inch
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thanks!
Yummm!!!😍😍😍🍪🍪🍰🎂🍧🍨🍦🍫🍫🍫🍫
🥰💕
Thaaaannnnkkkk yyyooouuuuu
You are so very welcome :)
❤❤❤😊
I get condensation on my cake pops
Do you dip them frozen or super cold?
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe not really. I make cake balls and store it in fridge for a day in advance. Could that be the reason? Also pls can u also tell us how can we store decorated cake pops if we have a big order. Thank you❤
@@anumsohail6718 Maybe this will help. I'm assuming the cake pops are in a airtight container. Take cakepops out of refrigerator, set on counter and do not open the airtight container at all. You might see the container get fogged up, but do not be tempted to open it. It depends on where you live and how hot it is, but let them sit on the counter until they are room temperature. Maybe an hour. This is a trick we decorators use for decorated cookies.
@@lw6920 makes sense! Will definitely try it out! Thanks a bunch 💜
@@anumsohail6718 you are welcome😁
Awesome
Thanks, Angie!
The rong size w..what
Paramount crystals are way better for me than vegetable oil
Omg talk to me about what paramount crystals are??? I love picking up new tricks! 💕
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I get mine from d&g occassions for 1lb at $7. You just need a little sprinkle on them. It’s mainly palm oil and you don’t have to worry about getting a nasty flavor like you would from too much vegetable oil. D&g has been the best priced place but a lot of other places sell it too.
Oh I’ve never tried baking or cooking with palm oil! I’ll test it out the next time I make some.
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe you’ll never go back to vegetable oil lol
I don't have paramount crystals. Would coconut oil be a better option than vegetable oil?
No help what so ever. All you did was tell what mistakes are made, didn't really hear good accurate solutions??
