Can I convert my Quick Fuel Q850 E85 carb to blow through? Do I have to replace the bowls and metering blocks? I already converted from gas to E85 so I do have a set of metering blocks I can modify if possible. I hope you see this comment just so I have an idea. Thanks Richard and I think you’re awesome for doing what you do! I don’t get to comment much because I watch you in my garage on Roku. Some advise is better than none. Thanks again
You might want to do some research on converting the carb-I'm not sure what floats that carb has, nor if meter block changes are required. Our Blow through carb also features boost referenced (adjustable) power valves.
@@richardholdener1727 I haven’t really found any good articles or instructions on what to do to convert. I’m very surprised there aren’t any GOOD RUclips videos on doing this because I know a few people that would also like to do the same. I know I can figure it out with some good tips on what to do. I’m trying to save for a house so I’d like to twin turbo my small block 409 without going over $4,000. If you know people that are good at this I think it would make a great video!
Dammit.. callin me out on slackin on the project vehicals lol ok ill get a fuel line ran. my garage doesnt have walls, floor or a roof so it sucks this time a year lol
Would you say running pump gas with methanol injection on a blow through carburetor is just as effective at cooling charge air as/vs running E85 on a bbc with an F2 ProCharger?
I have seen first hand a 540 BBC, twin 80mm arco E85 dominator make 1850rwhp. Never had issues. Non-intercooled.
A live chat so I just don't always choose to participate cooler charges always going to make more power

Right on

I disagree Richard on EGT not useful for air/fuel ratio as that has been the go to forever on snowmobiles .
egt can be changed dramatically with timing too-not just fuel
Yes but you like you teach people , only make one change at a time .

are they both blow through carbs?
@@richardholdener1727 yes they are both blow through carbs
it might provide comparable charge temps, but not power
@@richardholdener1727 Which one would have more power water methanol injection or E85? Thank you for all your input and feedback.
