  • HOW MUCH BOOST CAN I RUN RELIABLY? HOW MUCH BOOST WILL THE MOTOR TAKE? HOW MUCH POWER WILL THE MOTOR MAKE? WHEN DO I NEED BIGGER INJECTORS? WHAT ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP? DO I NEED TO UPGRADE THE TURBO OR INTERCOOLER? LET'S TALK TECH.

We need a Dodge 2.2 Camshaft test! Did you ever come up with a cam sensor for the 2.2? I remember you were trying to modify the 2.2 distributor.

I would put a modern super 60 on that Omni (ball bearing turbo instead of journal bearing) . I have one from Turbonetics I will be installing on my csxt soon. Plenty of turbo for that car.

I miss my OMNI GLH, it was a fun piece of shit that was a total money pit, but it was fun spanking F-bodies and Mustangs at the track with a car that had more rust than solid sheet metal. I ran 16lbs of boost on sunoco 110 race gas, a KO4 turbo, a big fmic, alc/water injection, 750cc injectors and a studded head with a metal head gasket. I never dyno'd it but it ran mid 11's in 1999 before it literally fell apart from the front end rusting off.

for a car you aren't going to drive much and have to deal with CA smog, I would probably just go over the wiring harness/connectors with a fine tooth comb and remap the factory ECU with chips and MPTune and run like 15psi on pump gas. My reliant has been in this state since 2004. Breakages due to power since then? 1 trans when at 20psi all the time and 1 headgasket due to uneven surface of the block over time. Breakages due to old junk? 1 distributor due to it seizing up between cleveland and columbus on the way to the SDAC you went to. Shout out to the car farm dudes and jackson from WI for bailing me out with parts! I'm not sure I would leave e85 in the old school factory tank/lines/injectors all the time though. BTW +20's are 42lb and +40's are 52lb.

Only in the 16's,I had an 86 GLH that could run that. My 85 GLHT was in the 15's and 86 GLHS ran high 14"s in warmish weather.
