Best demo I've heard. The cab sounds were a little muffled compared to IR's, but a simple twist of EQ or moving ribbon would probably bring back some of that high end.
I am so getting one of these amps. I had to laugh every time he was like... "this is bright!" LOL I have a 100watt 2203 and a 50watt Plexi; both have bright caps. The classic tones were bright. Modern players get thrown off with the brighter vintage tones.
All amps can get a basic clean, but, can this amp really do high gain without mudding up and without a boost on front end, intricate picking on low E, not strumming rock chords?
Hello Jim great review on the Suhr amp. I had a question over your method of connecting your pedals and guitar to the amp. Did you connect straight to the amp? Were you running through the effects loop? Please let me know, thanks Jim
Do you think channel 1 is black face or vox.. I really like chimey two rock sounds been digging through the internet to see if it can pull off those glassy vibes
Fender like clean. Pete uses a few other amps for his vox sounds. Good news is with am origin effects revival drive pedal, or a Wampler 30 something, not to mention countless IR options, you can achieve a vox like tone out of a fender clean. Not so easy the other way around. And with IR options, you can expand headroom greatly. Good luck
I'm a little underwhelmed this amp is around $5,500 where I live and for that price I want the wow factor, just didn't hear anything special at all Just average tones, hope I'm wrong
Try to find one excellent sounding 3 channel valve amp, one good reactive load, 3 digital impulse devices, one headphone output, one aux input and make everything work together the way this amp does... all for less than 3k. Even if you would manage to find all those devices for less than 3k, you would NEVER come close to this type of integration and practicability. These guys did went out to the "Thermosphere"... and came back with the PT15 I.R....
@@imgspot Everything Suhr is expensive! I know I used to own a few of their products, I've toured the factory met John and a few of the techs. It's good stuff just a little out of the ballpark for what it is.
Nice demo! Love the amp, extremely versatile and it sounds great
Great demo. I'm sure the PT 15 IR is going to do really well!
Very interesting amp. Always great and thourogh explanation of the product featured!!
Great review ! Playing is wicked, sounds awesome
Great video - wonderful playing and tone selections to really bring out the versatility of this amp. Must have :-) $$

Your demos are fantastic. Thank you.
Great demo......fantastic sounds from the mic sample........The V-30 I.R. Sounded excellent! What versatile machine.
Sounds great here.
Can’t wait to try it.
I too dig this amp. It has all the features I could want.

Great demo. Very informative
Sorry I’m confused. You are playing the IRs through the physical cab correct? So you are using the black ring speaker output with the ohm on 4?
Reminds me of the tone in Premier Guitar’s intro ditty (when the LP was first played)

He definitely was running them in the loop, the delays were far too clean on those drive channels to be front-of-amp.
He was totally utilizing that fx loop
Nice

There’s not much on the web for this amp. I’ve been wondering if it’s for me and if 15 watt is enough headroom.

@@joshua0226 also, if you can afford this, you can afford a two rock if that's your thing. Either way you'll be getting a great amp.
American Clean channel
Lance Cluff I think I decided ima get the Bella. I think the pt is sick but I need a good clean combo
1:54 Did he say American British tones?
Yes. American clean channel, British crunch and lead
And for $3000 you too can own one!

Then buy something made in your country.
International distribution and import / duty are not the amps fault.
I love this amp but that 3k price tag needs to come down out of the Thermosphere.
