- Hey guys! You asked for more color changing things so here there is: color changing oreo soap!!
So start off with some glycerin soap like this, it doesn’t have to be pink I just had this one and melt it in the microwave by heating it 30 seconds. Now it’s time to add the color changing agent and I’m using this pigment that I have previously used in some other DIY and I will link it down below

There isn’t a certain amount you need to add but more or less half a teaspoon.
Then mix it really really well. For the mold I’m using this oreo mold I Found on ebay but you can also make your own with some mold putty, there are lots of tutorials on youtube on how to make one, so yeah just pour the liquid soap and put it in the freezer for like 5 minutes. Once it’s cold the pigment color will be visible and it will look exactly like a real oreo!
For the oreo filling I’m using some regular white soap and I try to melt it in the microwave, but the thing is that it doesn’t really melt, you just get like a creamy texture, so just I just put it in the mold like so. Then I put it in the freezer to chill and as I’m using the oreo mold, I got like all the outside details like this, so I just put it under warm water to get the actual smooth filling shape. You can of course use a separate mold for this.
You can obviously use some food or soap coloring to make different colors, I actually used some yellow coloring to try to make a golden oreo but it kind of turned out orange.
And after you have all the pieces just assembly them using some melted soap as glue… and that’s it!
As you can see it’s super simple to make some oreo soap like this, I think they look super cute, now let’s try the color changing effect: This is the orange one under some heat from a hair dryer and this is how they look like when you place them under some hot water. I think they are perfect as gifts because you never know what color they are going to turn out when you put them under hot water.
I hope you have an amazing weekend and thanks for watching!
