The epitome of a guilty pleasure movie. It's not a particularly good movie but it's so much fun and Ghost Rider is actually really cool and fun to watch this time around.
The Marvel Knights logo, i remember they used for the first time on Punisher: War Zone and then in this one. If i remember correctly they said they were going to use that logo when it was dealing with more mature content. Rated R. Even though this was PG-13. But they never used it again. I was surprised they didn't use it on Deadpool or Logan.
Personally I love this movie..yeah..don't know why I just do lol.. also it may be just me but.. if you really think about it, this movie is really similar to Logan.. I'm not kidding. Think about it..the plot revolves around saving a kid who's some how connected to the hero from some mercenaries, the hero goes throw some hard time because of his powers, there's a mastermind behind it all..and more..it's really weird..
Even though it was released to general audiences in 2012, this is technically a 2011 film since it debuted at the Butt-Numb-A-Thon at the very end of that calendar year. It's similar to V For Vendetta (released at that festival in late' 05, released to the public in '06) and 300 (late '06 for the restival, '07 for the masses).
The only good things about this movie: 1. The Ghost Rider's design and CGI, a massive improvement over the first film. 2. The action (when you can see what's going on), was fun, my personal favorite moment being when the Rider takes control of that giant mining crane, and completely demolishes Carrigan's men. 3. The music score. Not too memorable overall, but it had some truly awesome tracks. 4. Moreau (Idris Elba). He was the only good character in this film. That's about it. Some great redeeming qualities, but not enough to save the movie. It's still pretty awful.
This review also laid out a lot of my personal issues with Venom. In its nuttier moments, I could almost see myself getting into it, but the rest of the movie around that was either too conventional or too slap-dashed for its own good.
The weirdest thing about this movie is that it's based on a script that was written before the first one. It was very similar except it was set in the US, was partly an origin story, and the third act was different.
Well there are contradictions. That's why i was confused. When they showed the origin. The flashbacks scenes are different from how it happened in the first one. And in that movie the devil was Peter Fonda so he was not in the same human form. And he was called Mefistofeles. The Incredible Hulk was a reboot so it had an excuse. Funny thing since David S. Goyer was involved and he was involved in The Dark Knight.
2:11, 2:19, 2:42 - Well, Captain Logan, years ago, you Did say that this was a "franchise of extremes." 5:49 - 😐🤨 Who the heck is N===y K======n? 22:01, 22:05 - Press "Triangle" for the Twinkie joke. 23:01, 23:37, 26:12, 26:17, 27:10 - *Captain Logan would be Amazing at Cinemasins.*
Oh hey, Cap, you watch Kidding? Cool. What do you think of it? I thought it was great and, like Barry on HBO, a surprising amount of heart in a very dark show. Glad it got renewed for a second season.
I was confused by many of the editing choices, which were jarring. I was bored by it very quickly and it was paced badly which made it feel like a 2 hours long movie even though its an 1hr 30 minutes. I didn't care much at all for any of the characters although I did like the concept of Nadya being the Devil's "baby mama" as Johnny put it, and them trying to keep Danny away from the Devil. Blackout was a lame antagonist, and even more so when he was resurrected and given his power. Moreau's final moment was kind of cool along with the part when Danny gave Johnny his rider back. Many things here felt random and it was just very hard to care for what was on screen. I give it a 3/10
Well, according to the comments on RUclips, the video for Disturbed's "The Vengeful One" is the best GR movie made. Low bar admittedly, but maybe check it out? Cap name-dropping Disturbed somewhat strengthens the claim.

Wow. Three Superhero Rewinds in the same week? This really is a Christmas miracle.
The Incredible Hulk actually came out four years before this movie, not two years.
Ghost rider deserves another chance.

Awesome review!! I've been dying for you to do a full review of this movie!
You mean a commentary?
No one mentioned it, so I will: the actor is named Idris ELBA.

Wait, for real ? I knew David S. Goyer was involved and that he wrote a draft for the first movie too.
Best intro ever

Nancy Kerrigan is a former Olympic figure skater.
I love this thank you man
I personally loved but I also like others view on it.

I wish they gott Peter Fonda back.

Scratching at the dooooooor!!!
Pity, Ghost Rider never got the movie he really deserved. (Haven't seen Agents of Shield)

One of the worst superhero movies ever made!
