Thanks mate plenty of jibber in this one. Fingers crossed, be a shame to get that size and come unstuck because of a can. You'd think it would put them off eating lures 🤷
Nice Going, some nice Cod there. I reckon it was a beer can in that cod. Also i have been told to always keep that lanyard on your wrist incase it kicks and you loose a grip on the fish .
Any guess as to what brand? Great Northern? Great point with the lanyard, I've been caught out before 😕 try not to use them unless the hooks are in a spot where I can't thumb them. Would be nothing worse than being stuck solo down the river attached to a fish by the lure. Thanks for the comment!
Excellent video, I really enjoyed this. So much action and some lovely fish. I wonder if that cods stomach acids will break down that can? I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Its illegal to sell the fish we catch, but if that was in the slot size limit you could have got 10c for it at the recycling centre. Haha 🤣👍👍
Thanks Robbie! Not too sure hopefully she can find a way to regurgitate it. Must have been in some mood when she ate it, surprised she didn't crush it then.
Glad you enjoyed. I use 2 miller cod freaks and diawa tatula 200 and shimano curado 200. 50lb braid 60lb leader. Can't beat that feeling such a cool fish!
Makes you wonder about why and how the Cod ate the can... Hope it lives. You would think that digested food could still slip past the can edges in the belly and get to the intestine, where nutrients will be absorbed...
All I can think is she must have been in some mood when she ate it. Would love to know what flavour it was haha. Hopefully she can regurgitate it, the fact that she still ate my lure tells me she isn't feeling too bad. I'd can't imagine they digest turtle shells so they must have the ability to spit it back up.
Thanks for watching. I try not to give the river or location away, not because it's secret but it's someone else's honey hole. Do some research not hard to work out 👍
No worries my boy, reading the comments sounds like it is well known anyway. We are up here in the North East Victoria l presume it is the Goulburn or somewhere else nearby.
Awesome video mate. Hopefully the cod can regurgitate the can. 🎣🎣

A couple of questions, what river, or area are you fishing? What is your kayak?
Hey mate. Central West NSW. I'll let you work out the river. Kayak is a Hobie outback.
That log for me seems to either produce nothing or a something over 70
It's such a good log perfect feeding spot. 👌
Enjoyed it mate well done, which river?
