I would love a new voyage
Since the Kindle Oasis has already been discontinued on Amazon, Amazon has to be definitely doing either something soon to replace it or possibly nothing at all, leaving the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition as the most high-end Kindle.

If there is a new Oasis it better be on point. It is the "flagship" device and it needs to deliver.
Thanks to your channel, I updated my old Kindle to a Paperwhite and am really appreciating the faster speed and the two tone light system. Honestly speaking, when a book reader is this good there isn’t much that could be done to update it. Kind of like mirrorless cameras- the makers feel the need to put out new models to keep the interest of photographers, but at this point there isn’t that much that can be done to radically improve a digital camera. Same with Kindles, I assume. Amazon - prove me wrong!
Instead of new paperwhite, I would like them to introduce a firmware update where in horizontal orientation, you could have an option to have two column pages.
The size of Scribe is aimed to put the device in competion with other e-ink tablets for reading/note taking (Remarkable, Supernote, Boox). A posssible scenario can be a Paperwhite size device with scribe features: the small device read/write are becoming a market and its possible Amazon decides to enter the competition.
I would lose my mind with joy over a scribe mini.
i hope we get a color e-ink would be nice, like a colored scribe for comics etc
I've been saying for a while now that I think the Oasis is a dead man walking. That was clear to me when they released the Scribe. The Scribe and Oasis were too similar in price. If you've got Oasis money, why not spend just a little more and get a Scribe?
I think your prediction of a Paperwhite-sized Scribe is spot-on. That's what I've been predicting since the Scribe came out, because it was the obvious move. They could release a smaller, more pocketable device that also costs less than the max-sized Scribe. I think that's a much easier sell to people who've gotten used to that form factor.
I'm uncertain about a Kindle Color. I haven't seen color e-ink that really wowed me, and the refresh rate you showed in your video was kinda brutal. I think Amazon would want to wait until the tech is a little bit better. Especially since they've already got tablets. I've always thought tablets were better for color reading anyway.
I've always supported Kindall's. I've had them from the very beginning but once I did away with the Oasis I gave up. I canceled my Kindle unlimited after all these years. And I bought the kobo Libra 2 and I'm loving it. I'm really missed. Those page turned buttons.
It would be nice to see a kindle mini, like the Boox palma
Scribe mini would be cool. My daughter loves drawing on my scribe and she reads on her pw. Having a scribe mini would great for her as she continues her reading journey.
Only reasons I would upgrade from the current 11th gen paperwhite is if they did do a bigger 7.8 screen like the Nook Glowlight 4 Plus has. Whether that being a new Paperwhite or Oasis, but I really hope too Amazon starts doing e ink color displays as I would buy that ASAP

I agree, I think the next big Kindle will be a Kindle with color e-ink. The technology is now good enough, and with the new Kaleido 150 dpi layer, it makes the screen much more crisp and it really pops, compared to the prior 100 dpi layer.
It seems clear that Amazon is trying to clear out its current stock of the Oasis, no more of the current model forthcoming. Either a new Oasis or, more likely, a smaller Scribe. I will hate to see them scrap the metal for plastic. Meanwhile, hanging onto my (previous model) Oasis.😢
I’ve been reading online and what I’ve learned is that recently the man in charge of everything having to do with Kindles left and no longer works for Amazon. I believe that has to do with the fact that we didn’t get a new kindle model or upgrades this year. I guess we’ll have to see who’ll be in charge of everything pertaining to kindles in the future and see if they continue to make new models. I’m with you on the color kindle prediction because it’s bound to happen.
Interested in a Kindle Color (would buy one to replace my paper white) Though if Apple releases a new iPad Mini that has 90/120hz so i don’t get headaches from it… that will clinch the deal as it would also be a scribe for me as well. I suspect the cost of the iPad mini vs a Kindle Color would only be about $150 difference. As for the Oasis… they probably don’t sell enough of them to make any changes and get people to upgrade. I sold off my Oasis for a Paperwhite. I found the Oasis not too comfortable to hold.

I have a 2019 KPW. It’s on its last legs but I keep holding out for a new 2024 release! I need a kindle with REMOTE PAGE TURNER, please Amazon! I don’t care about colour, but I don’t hate the idea. I actually prefer the kindle to be 6” rather than 6.4”. I even like that my edges are thicker as I’m more likely to accidentally turn the page with the 2021 KPW. I do like its warm light though!
As much as I love the Oasis, I don't think they will update it. It's not worth the cost and resources just to update a couple bits of hardware. Kindle Scribe is the right size for writing, and if they make it smaller I don't think a lot of people will want to invest a higher price point if the smaller size is still better for reading. Now, a color panel in the Oasis might be worthwhile, I could see that bringing new consumers into that line up.
I’d love for a Kindle “box palma “ version
I wish they will update to be able to change the size of the fonts on the UI I have a hard time seeing the small letters on the dictionary and the time and also in the bookstore to read the description of a book. I think Kobo has it, not sure.
I just bought new paperwhite, waiting for it to arrive.
I’d love to see an updated Oasis, but I don’t think it will happen. I love my Scribe, but I don’t think a smaller version makes sense. I also don’t get the desire for color e-ink.

A Kindle Colour is the only thing that would make me want to upgrade from my Signature Edition as it is the perfect eReader for books but I would like to be able to read comics too.
I want an oasis but I wanna wait for a new one to be released too ! The struggle lol

the oasis is an awkward product offering. i could see them replacing it with a scribe mini or just quietly retiring it

Tbh i’m checking out with my 2022 kindle basic and just going to wait until the day they come out with a color e reader. Then maybe i’ll buy a new kindle…
I'd love for them to make an interface more user friendly with one device. If they could focus more on that than an actual device, I'd prefer it.
I really want a kindle that is of a size in-between the oasis and the scribe. Other manufacturers have it but then you give up the Kindle eco system.

Call the Kindle department and ask them which device they are going to launch and on which date. Tell them that their customers will buy kobo if they keep them waiting. I,too , will buy kobo by feb last if not got any clear information about Kindle.

Even at a much more affordable price than an iPad, THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO BREAK IT WITH EVERYTHING!
I’m hoping for a new Oasis. I can’t live without the page turn buttons, so if my Oasis dies I’m out of luck because they are all sold out and not even on the site anymore. I like the Paperwhite fine but nowhere near as good as the Oasis.
They need to make a small kindle that can fit it in a pocket so you can listen and walk.

Would there be high demand for a Scribe mini? I love the large screen of the Scribe, but I rarely use the note taking capabilities. I would much rather see a 10” Paper white that was strictly for reading.
Appreciate all the efforts! But honest opinion, you need to use punctuations to sound better. Listening the content, makes me feel like something robotic has been told to read the script in a same flow
You are wrong about a better screen and USB-C being an adequate upgrade of the Oasis. They MUST do something about the abysmally bad battery life as well!
I've heard a lot of people complain about it, but mine has been fine for the most part. Either way, I do hope they improve this as well!
You are fortunate. Mine could barely last a week on standby straight out of the box. And what's the point of having 32 GB of memory when the software chokes when there's just a few gigs stored on the device?
I have the same problem.@@steveallen8281the battery takes a few months to present this problem, but it's terrible. I brought the lately paperwhite and takes weeks of heavy reading to low the battery.
My prediction is all of them will have wireless charging

I’ve had my PW5 since early 2022 and it’s as good as the first day I bought it. I don’t have any plans on upgrading at this time.
If Amazon released a new Kindle Oasis with an 8 inch screen, multiple color choices and a min of 16 Gig of space, I might trade in my Kindle. However the 6.8 inch screen still makes the kindle pretty easy to travel with. An 8 inch screen may push it too big for me. I’m also not into the multi-kindle lifestyle. One kindle for me is enough. 😊
I wish for a paperweight that reads audio books aloud.

I’m amazed at how many people want new devices because the old ones aren’t good enough. Like, I’m trying to save and retire asap, not buy a kindle every year because the charger port changes. Rant over

I'm sticking with my Kindle Paperwhite 2018. It's so so good! And I just got a nice cover and case for it :) I tried the Kindle Paperwhite 2021, but it was too heavy compared to the 2018 model. Excited for 2024 though!
