When the airport gets bigger, you should do a private security checkpoint from the staff room so staff doesn’t get stuck in the chaos of regular security.

I'd suggest getting a second small runway to help with the flight load. This would also have the added benefit of allowing more flights per day as you could then have two aircraft landing/taking off at any given moment. As for the helipad idea, absolutely make a second terminal explicitly for heli flights. One side of the heli terminal could be for the smaller helicopters, while the other would then be for the medium helipads. You could also set it up so that the small check-in desks could be for the heli flights (due to the tiny passenger counts) while the medium desks are used in the main terminal for the commercial flights.

I think there may be a sub menu in the fuel depot’s ui which has an option for extra tanks

can't wait to see you do some proper terminals for maybe regional or major branded airlines. maybe start off with british airways and if there is a regional partner with that, and then expand with your helis, and as stated in this vid maybe make a small terminal with like 8-10 pads.

Might I make the suggestion of perhaps thinking about setting up a separate infrastructure zone for your Medium runway to simplify the logistics of moving everything about whilst connected to the main terminal's infrastructure itself? That way you don't have to buy double police stations and the likes but can have larger fuel depots and garages whilst being kept separate from cluttering up the road with aircraft, terminal buses and regular vehicles. That way it gives you a bit of breathing room to expand in future without going full compressed spaghetti.

It would make it so much easier if you didn't have to go through check-in.
If the helicopter would just land on my connector flight, then I could go down the ladder directly into my TU-144 plane.

I cant understand why your local airport pays a surcharge for simply being at the airport. My local airport is sydney kingsford smith which is currently the only airport in the city (6 million in the city and another million or so in the sister cities to the north and south) and the only surcharge we have is for the train stations that are operated seperately from the rest of the Sydney trains network. My most recent trip to the airport was in november where i flew from Sydney to Brisbane and despite having a 8am flight the only trouble i had was the traffic heading towards the city and airport from the south where the toads were backed up for a fair few kms despite it being the crack of dawn. Taking into account kingsford smith airport is the only public airport until Western Sydney International airport opens in a year or so you would expect it to be a place if any to have a surcharge considering it has been at capacity for years and not being able to expand due to the proximity to the city. Public institutions and corporations seem to only know one thing and that is money, more so now than ever. I know that if that surcharge did ever happen here though there would he major backlash considering sydney to melbourne and sydney to brisbane are both in the top 15-20 busiest air routes in the world (used to be 2nd and 7th or so) and with almost half of the people living in the city being born overseas or having immigrant parents there would be major backlash from them. I hope your local airport does something about this and fixes that problem but knowing todays world it seems unlikely.

There is nothing saying that your Admin area needs to be in the main Airport terminal! Build a separate admin building.

also not sure if you have looked at Skyhaven but might be an epic airplane airport simulator game that i would love to see cover on your channel, and i hope that i'm not the only one that would like to see you play that game.

I bought the game while watching this episode and I made so many errors while planning lol, it's definitely difficult since if you mess something up it's hard to correct and you don't know where stuff needs to go/what you will need on the first playthrough

Only thing I know about airports is checking in, grabbing a beer, and getting on the flight. 😊

@Conflictnerd you have to research the medium fuel depots before you can unlock the fuel storages and as always great episode
