this car has more personality than any brand new looking restaured chevelle out there, patina is all.. The sticker looks super cool btw, too bad i cant have one because i'm from europe
I just bought a 73 Chevelle, The 3rd Gen Malibu's have always been my favorite body style was a child of the 70's, born in 72, and these Mid-late 70's cars were the new cars and everywhere in my childhood, My grandparents had a V-6 malibu 4 door (don't remember what year) when I was a kid and my High School Sweetheart had a 75 Malibu. I've always had a weak spot for the Mid-late 70's Muscle cars, owned several in the past, mostly Nova's, Dusters, Volare's and Cougars as Daily Drivers, My 73 has the 307 with the 350 Auto trans, which is just fine for me, I'm going to just fix what needs fixing, throw some dog dish hub caps on the wheels after I sand blast and paint them and just drive it and have fun with it. People need to realize that buying and building a Muscle Car on the Cheap is still VERY doable, I paid $3500 for my Malibu and drove it home, even after a complete go through of the car with new seals, gaskets and bearings plus cleaning everything up and rattle canning the Suspension parts and the engine I'm going to be going to be looking at an ALL IN budget of 7-8k, that's REALLY good money for a 70's Muscle car.
So cool the story of your purchase , then resale to get the Chevelle and low price point ....... love the story will be following you on your journey to see the progression
I had a similar experience with my 71 Cutlass! I found it sitting on a facebook at that was over a year old for 1900 bucks. Messaged the guy and he still had it! Now I am getting it road worthy without doing paint or anything cosmetic. Glad to have found your channel!
I just got the stickers today! Thanks so much, man! I put the big one on my desktop and the small on on my laptop! That's totally cool of you! Thank you again! Best of luck with the Chevelle!
Perfect for havin Fun ! I just bought one similar but not as cheep ! A long stashed LS5 must now be excavated from the depths of the garage. Thanks for the ideas and good luck!
@@BLVCKFLAGD nice the Quick performance 9 inch was a no brainer coming from the 8.2 open diff. It was about 2600 delivered with a fabricated housing w/back brace, 35 spline axles, and a nodular case with billet yoke but it’s all bolt in I already had done 4 wheel disc brakes so I saved a bit on that you can use 1980 el dorado calipers 79 firebird disc and it’ll bolt right up to your existing rear end
So far I have watched all your videos and honestly you helping me out with explaining what your doing and what these parts your working with are it is so far benefiting me in my engines class I am currently in at school
BLVCKFLAGD oh yeah I heard about the camaros because talked to some old timer with a 68 camaro and had an in-line 6 in it. Column shifter. He’s the original owner of it and it looked like it rolled off the show room floor.
@@RaceCarBrett that's cool...I know those column shifts aren't good for any kind of performance, but for some reason they're fun to drive...might just be the novelty of it
200$, I remember a time when you had asked people to the most haunting experience with cars and I had won a A ratty Chevelle shirt lol. If I win, I'm gonna wear both of them at one time
Wow what you've done there is brilliant,I want to do the same but in the UK it's hard enough finding 1 ratty muscle car let alone 2 lol I've been looking at everything from el Caminos to skylarks even 70's elderados.. honestly though I'd be happy with anything from late 60's early 70's as long as it's got a V8 as thats the sound I want .
@@BLVCKFLAGD yeah it's so over priced you should check on eBay UK at classic American cars for sale just for a laugh because you'd be surprised and would probably start exporting them here haha
Just came across this series...now I'm gonna have to watch it's progress. I've never even seen a 71 with a straight 6. I've had a few Chevelle's over the years. Have a super solid 72 sitting in garage now
Every state is different so I don't know exactly what to do for California. Some states you can get a "bonded title." You would have to check with the DMV there to find out if you can get one for that car.
I remember talking about a 71 Chevelle being your favorite car on one of our first dates

My 71 was also a straight 6 powerglide car with 2 buildsheets it’s a 357ci th400 and Ford 9 inch now
Sounds nice. We'll probably end up with a turbo 5.3, 4l80e, and for 9in eventually

@@BLVCKFLAGD absolutely! Did I notice old Arizona plates on the car?
Old Missouri plates
@@BLVCKFLAGD ahh ok! Both red plates! 😁
Lol love how she sounds like an old tractor when you started her up. Never seen a chevelle with an inline 6 before so that’s pretty cool.
Never knew they were still putting them in chevelles in 71 until I found this one. They were still putting them in camaros well into the 70's too

Current shirt is slightly different. You got the last of the original run
The babies' voices 💖
they were so little
I have a 250 inline 6 and been thinking about a draw through turbo. It looks to be easier and cheap than to buy a blow through carborater.
Are you kidding me! Hell, I paid $3500 for a 69 SS 396 Chevelle parts car! You stole those cars! Dang!

Digging this series. Your editing skills far exceed mine. Is it too late for a sticker? I will fly it proudly on the Crew Cab Chevelle.
thanks! looking forward to seeing your chevelle on power tour
Hey buddy!
Have plenty of parts for a 72 chevelle if you need some interior pieces, trim, etc let me know!
Sweet...I've got some all green interior stuff...if I find anything missing I'll let you know.
Subscriber number 215 and I just ordered a sticker. Kick ass, man!
👍
I have a kinda ratty 71 Chevelle that I grew up in, that I'm working on now.
Sweet...good luck with it!
$200. Great video skills too!
Bad Hombre Garage appreciate it. Thanks!

72 sounds cool. We've got a lot of videos to update on the chevelle coming up.
Me suscribo porque asi como el tuvo un sueño con ese carro yo igual lo tuve y tengo el mismo auto chevelle 71
¡Gracias por suscribirte!
Do you still have the old frame?
Probably $6k minimum nowadays for just a shell with no motor/trans/ doors and title?
I bought a 68 chevelle no paperwork out ofdmv system vin tags there and bag are there what do I need to do help I'm in california

I literally bought 1 today for 3k from an 84 year old man ive befriended over the last 4 years
In my opinion I think ratty muscle cars are better than the ones with a perfect interior and perfect paint
It's definitely nice to not have to worry about scratching it
Do you still give stickers?
Yep ratty...almost everything.
$200
