I got my hands on a 1971 Chevelle Malibu with Original 307cid and powerglide transmission. All original except for front seat and carpet. Once my son is old enough to understand what this car is. It will be going to him at that point. It does need restored in a show like this is what drives my passion for cars even more. Keep up the amazing work!!!

Trunk lock: pull the back seat and firmly attach something useful [like a basic flathead screwdriver] to a 3 foot stick [or whatever] so you can trip the mechanism. Reach through the brace openings and... all yours.

I wish your program had remained with the 1972 Chevelle. A few things about the 72. This is a good one. GM suffered from a strike that badly hurt paint quality for a while. My husbands parents traded a 65 Chevy II and got a Chevelle with no paint on the rocker panels. The dealer attempted to repair the paint but was not very successful. The 72 was a very pretty car unlike the 73 with the chunky foot bumpers. Occasionally a 350 V8 slipped through production that was a real screamer. I don't know how to explain this except the auto workers having some fun. Perhaps at the expense of GM. If so Government Motors deserved it! Since you moved away from the Chevelle to other things a word of warning, if you will take it. Build it to look like it came off the line in 72. You can make it as hot as the blazes but make it a true sleeper. That way it will surprise everyone who see it on the highway. We don't need another destroyed Chevelle! Just an opinion.
