The people don’t see the signs because the signs are turned in ways to make them less conspicuous. Asheville is full of em. Those towing companies make tow truck payments and house payments per day. That’s why they turn their signs sideways and not over 5 feet high. Asheville is tough…
Having dealt with many illegal parks when I worked at a hotel. I found it mind boggling how many people are out there that are so self entitled and believe they can just do whatever they want, whenever they want. Then when they have to pay the piper they get so angry.

Sometimes what they are trying to ask is where are you, expecting directions to find the location, not necessarily asking by what method will I be able to reach your location. Hello Jeff, always interesting videos and such predicaments you are involved in. Here's an idea I implemented many years ago while an LEO. Places that our department responded to on a regular basis or just for routine patrol, there were times we needed access onto the owners property which was secure by a chain, gate or other locked obstacle and secured with a padlock. Our department, of course with the property owners consent, purchased padlocks which were all KEYED ALIKE and placed the lock in line with the padlock of the owner. This enabled our patrol officers the ability to unlock OUR lock to enter onto the property and not interrupting or interfere with the owners lock. After watching this video today, I felt the need to put the same idea into your thinking since MANY TIMES by removing a locked chain, gate etc. would work for you making your work much easier. If you like this idea go for it making sure you have permission from the owner. Of course DON'T FORGET TO RESECURE THE PROPERTY after the work is done or it'll be game over! Thanks for your time and keep those "interesting" videos rolling.
So he's going to "appeal' this tow. Exactly who is he going to appeal to? The city for daring to allow businesses to have private property, or the businesses who dare to provide free parking for employees? I swear these entitled people are just ridiculous in their narcissistic behavior. He claimed to be a mayor of somewhere, so he KNOWS there are laws in place that protect property owners. He ALSO knows the city cannot ticket someone whom is parked on private property. This man made himself and his wife look completely foolish and entitled. Bless all y'all for your endless patience!
And despite parking there "for years", they STILL don't know to not park in employee parking, or that if you're not paying to park you're doing something wrong?
Do you practice going through small spaces, you looked so close to hitting those cars. Kristen is good at helping you get through. Y’all are a great team. You continue to amaze. ❤️

I have to say that you sound so much like my brother , who drove a tow truck for years in the early 70’s, that I could see him hooking up the cars 😂. The even tone, sympathetic yet holding your line. Explaining as little as possible but as much as necessary. Even growing up he was that way. He never met a stranger, they were just friends he hadn’t met yet. I don’t think anyone really didn’t like him, except one guy who was jealous of him when they both worked for his parents and they would rather make their son work at a different location than lose my brother as an employee.

When in Gatlinburg you can pay $15/day to park, or pay $300/day to park, and pick up your vehicle at 211 Newman Rd. My favourite city used to be Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, when the mayor was “Hurricane” Hazel McCallion. She was an amazing mayor who was able to reduce property taxes, increase services, and had every parking meter within city limits removed… and she was in her 90’s!
That old couple just couldn't and wouldn't understand why the car got towed. All the signs, the painting on the pavement and the chain should have been a dead giveaway. The visitors expect special treatment but then again so do the locals.
We have been there several times and always pay to park. Never been towed. We love it there. Rules are rules rather you like it or not, abide by them!
The people don’t see the signs because the signs are turned in ways to make them less conspicuous. Asheville is full of em. Those towing companies make tow truck payments and house payments per day. That’s why they turn their signs sideways and not over 5 feet high. Asheville is tough…
He tried to speak in that “I am important voice” and it didn’t faze you one bit Jeff, he’s the mayor and he wants due process. What a guy!
Having dealt with many illegal parks when I worked at a hotel. I found it mind boggling how many people are out there that are so self entitled and believe they can just do whatever they want, whenever they want. Then when they have to pay the piper they get so angry.
TidewaterC ……. especially those people who say “I’ve parked there for years, or I’ve parked there 100 times “. That just means you don’t mind stealing for years or 100 times.
@@leslieshand4509I'd tell them whelp tonight is your unlucky night.
Just got into an argument with a dude thst was like "towing church goers" ummm yesh. Your not entitled nor are you special. So your church going is more important then guests spots at a hotel. Absolutely not. These are the type to be stopped in the store for no mask then yell "what about my rights " so your rights are so much more important then my health. Gtfo.
Jeff, you don't need to give them the information of whom called you for removal from an employee parking lot, & I agree with you, he had to either see one of the signs or called the police about his car. Great maneuvering around in the lot guys! Stay safe out there!!!!
Now think about this, why are all these hotel employees telling people to park in unauthorized spots. Sounds like old sheisty here has a scam set up to guarantee he will get paid all day and all night long. I'm sure there is a kickback or favors exchanged for all these "tows!" He is corrupt and his elation over getting to tow innocent visitors screams louder than the mean people upset about their cars being stolen..
@@targetedcitizen3160 You're an idiot. By your name I can only assume you have parked illegally and got caught LOL. Jeff runs a legit business and you can tell that because the police use him. Seek help for your ignorance please before it's too late.
That’s bullsh*t. If that elderly man got towed and wanted to sue then he has the right to know who to name as the litigants. I’m not saying he would have a case here, but to deny them VERY BASIC information about who ordered the removal is absolute nonsense.
@@ReaganThatcher But it's not Jeff's responsibility to tell him their name. That falls under the business that owns the lot. Jeff is just a contractor.
@targetedcitizen3160 lol. Cope. You sound like one of the tards that got towed
It is amazing that seemingly grown adults do not know how to get a cab, ride, etc. Also amazing is your patience with them. Bravo to you both!👍😎
It's called being cheap. Of course, they may gave not had a lot of $$$ available for a cab or Uber since they did not count on being towed for parking on private property where they weren't allow.
I grew up on a farm in a very rural area. Had no idea when I moved to the city how to ride the bus, the various routes, how bus transfers worked, getting a cab, etc. I don't find it amazing that they don't know since I've been in their shoes. There is a way to politely ask how to go about it however. I never let lack of knowledge stop me from exploring a city.
@@laobeau I grew up in a rural area as well, and your absolutely right. If you never had to ride a bus or take a cab it is a basic knowledge that you just do not know. I went to NYC and I messed up so many times trying to find the right subway. I went to Baltimore and had to figure out the process of getting an Uber I did figure it out though. Once you do it, yeah easy peasy
I thought those people from Ohio were very nice. They admitted it was their mistake. They weren't rude at all. Not everyone lives in a city. They don't take Uber, buses or cabs. I 'm from Brooklyn, NY and have lived all over the world. But, I now live in Ohio. Most of which is country.
Deborah Crowder Not necessarily. Some country people have never used public transportation.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention Jeff & Kristen's incredible patience along with Jeff's stellar driving skills aided by Kristen's extremely accurate spotting and guidance. You two make quite the Dynamic Duo!
That driving in the parking lot was amazing Jeff!
Yes I was stressed out watching that
A friend of mine is going to Gatlinburg is a couple weeks, I told her PAY TO PARK!! LOL You are both SO patient with folks. God Bless !
Don't forget to tell her there is some free parking on River Rd.!! 😁
Give her the address if she gets towed 221 Newman Rd Gatlinburg Tn
If she ends up going to 221 Newman Rd tell her to say hi to all of RUclips and get a photo with them!

Wow, as an older citizen, I'm ashamed of how they acted. Sorry, you had to go through that. They were an embarrassment!
I’m 63 and I agree!! But he’s a mayor, so hence the shock for lack of entitlement towards him and his “hospitality” wife. 🤦🏼♀️😆
You're the same morons that let America be stolen by communists. The people's car was stolen by a greedy road pirate and the folks were more than polite for the situation..
If he's a mayor...I can only assume the political affiliations...
There are so many in that generation who really seem to think that they are somehow owed whatever they want or that the rules don’t really apply to them

😂😂
Guaranteed that mayor (if he really is ) as a different mindset to anyone else and thinks he’s above everyone and can try and bend/ break rules to suit
he certainly behaves like the typical government official
Probably some mayor of a small podunk town somewhere with a population of around 2,000 or less. I live in one of those podunk towns and can attest to the mentality of small town elected politicians. However, they are very much a "big fish in a little pond."
Those two tows were like night and day. But the first Daren was a public official use to have his official privilege. The other took responsibility gracefully and thankful to get it back.

I have a major health problem , There was no signs , I did not see the sign , I spend a lot of money here, I am gonna appeal this , I ain't playing that game, I am going to cry , I am gonna call my momma , I can't get there from here. Blah blah blah. 🤷♂
That guy should take a note from that second lady. It pays to be polite.
Like my mom used to say when I was a kid: "You draw more flies with honey rather than vinegar."
(Although I never dared asking her why I would want flies! 😁).
He probably craps in the bathtub too.

oh Jeff, I am so proud of you. Frustration is the name of the game, and yet, you never roll your eyes on camera...you wiggle a little 🙂, but respect is your middle name, and I'm thankful. Blessings on you and your Kristen. And he's wanting due process...and owner's name. It's all a matter of public record, and if he wants it badly enough, he can find it. Wow! That was some good maneuvering. Teamwork was great.
Pay to park people. I think Jeff has said that once or twice before. Awesome driving on the Honda Jeff. That was a tight squeeze. Great video, stay safe guys.
Hi from kansas city mo 🎉luv your videos 😅😊 At least the couple with the black car was very kind and respective🎉
Kansas City here too
Hi Terry, kcmo
I know these people are frustrating to deal with, But it makes for great content. You need to make up illegal park excuses BINGO cards. Then we all can play along. Thank you guys for doing what you do and sharing it with us.
In Freedom ~ TOW BINGO Great Idea😎
It always amazes me how you guys manage to get through those tight spots, I got nervous just watching you get that Honda out lol. Your definitely a great team, love watching all your content 😀
Love the way you guys conduct yourselves. Because you are in the right. Awesome.
"how do I get there?" is the dumbest question you get, my gosh, how do these people get through life??? ROFL love your vids
It’s a valid question considering that was a rental car. Probably don’t have another one.
@@Br0dyDall3 rental or owner, if one is stranded one calls a cab or someone you know; why should the tow driver have to tell a person that? LOL

Sometimes what they are trying to ask is where are you, expecting directions to find the location, not necessarily asking by what method will I be able to reach your location. When someone asks me how do I get there I would give them directions of what roads to take and what direction to turn. I guess maybe it’s a different region interpretation of the question.🤷🏼♀️
It is even funnier because Jeff stays so cool.
I swear, everyone says I've been parking there for years
And despite parking there "for years", they STILL don't know to not park in employee parking, or that if you're not paying to park you're doing something wrong?
Do you practice going through small spaces, you looked so close to hitting those cars. Kristen is good at helping you get through. Y’all are a great team. You continue to amaze. ❤️
I have been working with the public for over 30 years. It never ceases to amaze me how one person acts like a no talent assclown, while the next is a sweet as can be. Gotta love the public! Great video as always!

Great video like always!🤠🍻
I believe the guy with the Honda said he was a Mayor somewhere, I bet he has a reserved spot at city hall and if someone parks in it they will get towed.
Well , at least the couple with the Nissan were very nice and very calm. Unlike the couple with the Big Honda SUV.. And then the guy filming you with his cell phone. I would have been struggling to not give him the middle finger salute! Great job remaining calm Jeff and Kristen!
All I can say is thank you. Your videos are like a public service announcement. My husband and I now know that if we ever come to visit Gatlinburg we need to not be cheap and pay to park. We live in Wyoming and have always wanted to visit your area. I absolutely love your videos.
Hay brother, just found your channel. Like what you do and how you do it. I can't see well enough to drive and can't tow anymore as well. But, I do miss it and like watching you do it. Thanks.

These two people running everything auto are nothing but nice, we had to call them to help us out when I turned down a wrong road and got stuck. I really appreciated there help. Three old women in the wrong place from Indiana
In today’s episode! How to fit a 7 ft truck through a 6 1/2 ft space, with a car in tow! If only everyone that got towed was as nice as the second one, life would be dull.
Hey Kristen! Love the vids. I just got the sticker I ordered in the mail today with your nice note. Thanks! I may be down that way later this year and will plan to come bye to say hi. Keep up the good work!
You gonna have to start adding on a stress fee when the removal requires squeezing through something like that 😂
Saw you guys on TikTok been a junkie ever since. Wife and I are always in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You run a great and respectful business.

Second couple in rental was nice, and I can sympathize. . . . I am almost 70 and never been towed, and used a taxi once many years ago.

The two of you are true professionals!! Love watching you guys work!! Great job on the vid Kendra!!
You two make a wonderful team. You seem very happy. Congrats. Loved the couple who rented the Nissan.
With contract padlocked lots.. you should be able to put a lock on that chain on the non employee side that you have the key or combination whereby you can fulfill their requirement for removal! We have several lots with three or more locks linked together for different key holders.
How could you Jeff! How could you treat visitors who park illegally and don't pay and used to make me late for work this way.
How could you! 😉
Can you do a compilation of just the illegal park conversations? Lol they're my favorite!
Jeff your driving gets better and better.!! And kristen your directions are CHEFS KISS.!!!!😁😁😁
Unbelievable driving!!!! Actually mind blowing! Lol!
It never amazes me how entitled these people are, they feel more entitled cause they got a handicap permit. Love how he pulls his phone out starts filming like he doing some kind of justice for the entitled who want whatever they want . As a cop I get disrespectful people all the time like I'm the bad guy , but like you said pay to park as I say to them don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
He's a MAYOR of a city and acts like this?!? THAT city is in big trouble...Talk about entitled people.
She at least acknowledged she was wrong, but neither could accept personal responsibility for their actions.
They're quite a pair...ganging up together to attack Jeff for their own mistake, but willing to sacrifice each other when it's convenient (telling each other to be quiet and he says she needs to be more responsible when unable to find her phone). What a gem of a marriage that must be!😂

I may be wrong and I've watched the video 3 times, but did the older guy state he was a mayor? The older lady just had NO desire to listen to you Jeff and your clear explanation why she's wrong. I seriously doubt, as was stated, they had been parking there for 10 years. You do such a great job at staying calm, no way when she was stalking about hospitality & then he dropped the "where is the due process" line I would've been like are you freaking serious lol! It's unfortunate that so many ppl group all tow truck operators as 1 of the same individual, it's sad...
"That's no way to treat visitors." I would argue that parking illegally is no way to treat your hosts. 😛
I have been binge watching ur videos. LOVE them!!!
That old couple just couldn't and wouldn't understand why the car got towed. All the signs, the painting on the pavement and the chain should have been a dead giveaway. If they come to Gatlinburg that much, they should know that they have to pay to park. On top of that, they want to go after the business who's property they parked on.
The handicap man would be one of the first people that complained about someone parking in a handicap parking spot that’s does not have a handicap sticker or signage.
If that guy is a Mayor he should know just look up the county records and find the owner of the land, I hope to see this on Judge Judy soon, will be fun watching Judy scream at them
He wanted to know the name of the employee who ordered the removal, not the name of the land owner.
Dang Jeff I think you need to bring some Vaseline with you when your trying to squeeze between those two cars😂😂😂
I have parked illegally in Gatlinburg and been lucky enough to not be towed. After watching your videos, I will never do this again. You succeeded in teaching this old dog new tricks! Lol😂😂😂
