As a representative of Augsta Georgia, they should be ashamed to have this low life working for them. Can you imagine being anything but white on a dark road with this armed thug? Then they walk away with the fool mouth hanging open. It’s not that they go around telling people they are 1/2 black but they both for obvious reasons despise racism so they use it to embarrass the racist . Mainly due to police and tow companies setting up deals and friendships over impound calls, some towns have a rotation to stop favoritism. But try getting on the rotation as a new tow company in the area lol. But if you anger the police they will stop calling you even if you are on the rotation, they just say customer requested "X" company to bypass you. So they learn to expect the gold treatment from Drivers owners of tow companies. Flip side is wrecker owners are almost exempt of traffic tickets of any type etc.

The only thing I dont get about this is why it is so bad/racist to point out a language barrier? Seriously seams like click bait. I grew up and live in upstate NY. This is so tame. These people are obviously not racists if you have half a brain and have met true bonafide racists. We all do/say things that are wrong. To act like and say things like this are racist is why the word has been watered down to the point where it almost means nothing. Every difference/discrepancy between different peoples does not equal racism. We are a nation of immigrants from all over the world. Heres some truth: You arent perfect either, as exemplified by your labeling a person a racist who is not a clear racist. That is not a term to throw around all willy nilly. If you do, it will mean nothing. Save that crap for actual racists who deserve to be pushed out of society. This race crap blows my mind...ppl have been made stupid.

Well folks. Here's the deal: I was a deputy. The first thing they teach you is "bite your tongue". Or at least they used to. Keep your thoughts and beliefs to yourself. Just do your job and go home safely. A tow fee is not worth loosing your job (and all it's benefits) or even a suspension. And never-ever ask for favorable treatment. If it is offered, that is different. Learn by your mistakes and life goes on. You have patients of a saint. What you did is what he should have done: de-escalate the situation.

Living in Boston, I've dealt with towing a bit. Sometimes for missing a sign, and sometimes for some questionable callings, but it was never on the tow company, it was on the caller.
Most tow companies are very neutral on the situation, the bottom line is if you're going to fight it, you fight it in court.
So for these super friendly guys to go through this whole explanation is way above and beyond. Great way to mitigate the anger and frustration of being towed.

My dad was a detention officer and dealt with Law officers, The courts and individuals in custody. He always believed that you are responsible for your actions and treat people with respect. There are things that happen unfairly but you control you. There are injustices but you still are responsible for your actions.
Police officers deserve the most respect that a person can received. Daily they deal with people on their worst day, people who are not responsible for their actions and people that just need help. Then on top of that they have to deal with politics and personalities of the people that affect them. They see things no living person can forget or deny it affects them.
I would be the last person to say anything bad about a police officer and not give them the respect they deserve. But I expect when possible the same respect or at least a portion back. Unless I give up that right by my actions.
Please don't tell me that because someone else is doing wrong I can too. My bad day means I don't have to follow the rules / laws. If I am not sure or don't know does not mean the law changes or I am excused. My family and situation does not excuses my actions. As a person everything can affects my actions but I am the one in control. I was taught to respect the office / title / duty even if you cant respect the person.
Bottom line. If you think that making excuses, talking behind some ones back (online as well) or being dishonest is WRONG. I also understand people being mad and ranting but then they have to fix and be accountable for that action.
Please be the people I respect and have taught my sons to respect and admire.

Sir, I enjoy watching your videos and as a former tow operator (back in my day we were just called tow truck drivers) and also now a retired deputy sheriff. It reminds me of why I enjoyed being a tow truck driver. I always hated it when I towed an off-duty peace officers' personal vehicle whether it was an impound or a disabled vehicle.
But as you know, when it comes to an impound you do not know who owns that vehicle and you have a business to run. I hate seeing these off-duty cops act the way they do, it's not the first video of yours where you've towed a cop's private vehicle and I'm sure it won't be the last.
As a tow driver we had the local PD, SD and state patrol's contract and I always hated it when the officers felt the need to operate the levers on my truck, but it was our biggest contract, so I just smiled and made do.
I'm very conscious of all parking signs when I'm parking and it doesn't matter what day of the week it is or time of day, that only comes from being a tow truck driver and a deputy responding to disputes over private property impounds.
P.S. The tow truck company always won in those disputes.
