  • An estimated 5.5 million people in the U.S. suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia. The number is expected to double every 20 years as life expectancy rises and the population ages. Currently, there are no effective therapies and the economic burden of Alzheimer’s disease is unsustainable.
Dr. Tsai is trying to change that. She discovered that when Alzheimer’s mice are exposed to LED light flicker for an hour, beta-amyloid peptides were markedly reduced. Repeated exposure for several days led to drastic reduction of the sticky plaques that are commonly seen in the brain of Alzheimer’s patients.
Dr. Tsai discusses what this research means for humans suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Are we close to being able to prolong the onset of Alzheimer’s disease? Watch to find out.

Three weeks after "shining light' {7-31-17]she canceled the 7-month trials. As my wife was first in the trials and I witnessed improvement and a stop of her decline ,so why were the trials stopped? No answer was given.

Why don't you continue with light therapy yourself? It's not that hard to do. Also look up Michael Hamblin's research on near Infrared light therapy. This is Infrared/Near infrared LED lights used on the temporal lobes, inside the nose or on the forehead. This has been seeing excellent results as well. Personally I'd do both. The white light exposure to sight needs to be at 40hz exactly. The infrared/near infrared can be between 10 and 100HZ and doesn't need to be seen.

I've been doing this for my Mum at home. I bought a stroboscope to deliver the flashing light (2400RPM is the equivalent of 40 Hertz) and i've seen a big improvement in her condition. I've also been using a 40 hertz tone as well, played through headphones.

She was clearly threatened with her life or her families lives by Big pharma who make millions out of their drugs. This is not uncommon. They are thugs.

So, your wife received free intervention and a long-term solution that you recognized and you still didn't extend the intervention and improvements you admit she witnessed??? Vielight made a commercially available photobiomodulation headset just for this reason - because subjects in studies wanted to continue treatment after the study concluded. Did you not take advantage of it???

@@paulnaude1 Big Pharma wants to make $. Big Pharma also produces research that is helpful in a broad spectrum of biology and medicine. The idea that Big Pharma threatens people with their lives is totally ridiculous. Get a doc who will assist you in distinguishing science vs. non-science and letting you know what is and is not up-to-date or practical. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
