His memory is an amazing thing. I think he thought those would work like they do in LttP, which he claims is his favorite Zelda game. But he also knew next to nothing about how anything in that game worked when he played it. We see him ready an arrow once in a while, but totally forgets. He uses bombs for everything that they aren't effective for, but totally forgets they exist when they'd actually be useful. He'll do a thing in one room in a dungeon, then two rooms later when he has to do it again he has no idea what he's supposed to be doing.
Towards the end when Ganon told Link to come face him and DSP is trying to figure out what to do with the red rope. Think I busted a blood vessel. "Uh... what do I do? He won't climb it." No shit, fuckwad. You don't just stand in front of a rope and scream "CLIMB" at it. Oh my fucking God...
personally, i really like this tihydp. the music is absolutely fantastic and pretty fuckin funny. this one has a lot of personality. 9/10. would play Wind Waker Rising Revengance again.
DSP makes me feel so crap at this game. I did AWFUL on Puppet Ganon. I also couldn't find a way to hit the serpent forme and decided to climb on a platform and camp while aiming my light arrows. And spent a good while trying to find out how to use my grappling hook after climbing my rope. I also got a Game Over earlier in the Forbidden Woods. Man, I suck. But hey. The flight challenge once I got the double magic, I managed to beat on my first try, and I pretty much never made mistakes when it came to wind direction. Plus, I feel I was doing better all things considered. I didn't have a stream chat, and my internet was out so I couldn't cheat either. Now I'm preparing for Twilight Princess since I'm officially hooked.
Many people have said, and I kind of agree, that it's not so much that he's struggling in the games. We all have those moments, it's his attitude when he does. It's always everyone else's fault or the game's fault or some other thing. He's never a good sport about anything.
I KNEW he would ruin one of my favorite parts of the game. When that guitar comes in with Komali searching for Midna in the air, it's always been such a poignant, somber moment for me. Phil sees it, then proceeds to make a terribly immature sex joke immediately after. Why wouldn't he. Why wouldn't he trivialize every bit of emotional material he encounters?
In pro radio there's a thing called a cough button, you press it if you need to cough and it mutes the mic. I can't imagine a pro streamer not having some kind of mute button they can press in similar cases.
If it is any consolation he snorts, coughs, and makes other disgusting noises far less compared to older TIHYDP. The guy still has a nasty diet of fast food and microwave meals however.
It's astounding that after playing the game for 20-some hours, he never noticed that link steps forward when he swings his sword. If memory serves, that's always been the case in the 3D games, because otherwise you're just swinging your sword hoping the enemy walks up close enough to hit you
1:39:46 I'm pretty sure that they fixed this "issue" in the HD version anyway. Medli and Makar will go through doors on their own if you call them to follow you.
I used to be scared of zombies in Zelda but now I find them to be kind of funny because their method of attack is dry humping Link. Okay I know they are really biting at his head hoping to have a taste of some brains but the way they do it makes it look like they are humping him LOL.

There's an "Original Boss Music Version" as well. It's the exact same video, just with the original music (don't really understand why he had to change it to begin with, but at least there's that)
Ok, the Grumps were sometimes pretty bad (Arin was bad, the other was decent). But at least they aknowledged it and knew it themselves without deluding themselves. They made some rookie mistakes but were NEVER this oblivious, this convinced that they were good or blaming the game (and at least they were pretty funny talking). I see people claiming that this blumbering dude and the Grumps can be compared and I respecfully disagree, this Mumpsimus (A person insisting on making a mistake despite being told/shown it is a mistake) didn't have the brainpower required to lock-on properly which made the Orca training and first Darknut fight (the latter being, ideally, a pretty cool fight) painful to watch and making me wondering how he even finished the damn thing. It's actually something that surprises me (him finishing games despite his complete ineptitude) and someone told me a while ago that "If you bang your head against a wall long enough, it'll break eventually". It's just really funny how he manages to get by in games (and have an actual following big enough to financially sustain him). It's just funny is all.
Admittedly, though, Arin was pretty obnoxious with Majora's Mask. Nearly DSP levels of obnoxious. It was to the point that he even acted condescending towards fans of Majora's Mask, implying that you're wrong for liking it and it can't possibly be him doing something wrong and he can play however he wants even when how he plays clearly isn't working.
+Zeldagigafan Maybe. I still can't believe he beat Puppet Ganon's 3rd form by shooting like he did, not holding down the button to prepare an arrow. Looks like Twilight Princess is getting an HD remake, too. Do you think Phil will still be around to play it on RUclips? *I smell another TIHYDP I may make*
+Zeldagigafan The boss battles were too easy, and I don't think the enemies will give him too much trouble since pretty much all of them do poor damage. Still, I can think of a handful of parts of the game he may bitch about, especially the Master Sword puzzle. How much you wanna bet he's gonna eventually look up a guide, but not admit it and be all like "I did it somehow".
Gotta admit that even if this legendary soundtrack being in a phil video, outside of its actual game of origin, baffles me. It doesn't change the fact that those songs are pretty great (also reduces the chances of Nintendo freaking out and deleting/claiming the vid XD )
