@@henori_ Majora's Mask is my favorite. The side quests and the schedules of each person bring so much life to the game. It also has a darker tone than other LoZ games, which makes it stand out still to this day. The 3 day cycle can add some extra stress (as you experienced) but in a good way. It makes you think before taking on a task, "can I complete this before I run out of time?". Twilight Princess is a close second (and the game I think deserves to sit in the #1 spot). Midna is the best companion, the dungeons are great, and the gameplay feels amazing. It's the Pinnacle of what a LoZ should be

@@henori_ I grew up with Wind Waker and the Zelda series as a whole. Wind Waker went from my least favorite 3D Zelda on the gamecube to being my second favorite Zelda with the HD version, right behind Majora's Mask. Between the lack of a dungeon for Nayru's Pearl, the travesty that is the Triforce Hunt, and the empty promise that is the sunken Hyrule Kingdom, Wind Waker is so obviously rushed and unfinished that replaying it hurts me. Especially that last one. The way King talks about how the Earth and Wind Temples are in the sunken Hyrule is enough to realize that the plan was for it to be Wind Waker's equivalent to A Link to the Past's Dark World and Ocarina of Time's future. @@devonm042690 ive been replaying it recently, and its peak. The visuals are about a decade ahead of its time. Its the most drastic change in hyrules map between games, making for a fun experience finding out new locations. The concept of playing as this specific link is amazing, as he was never the Chosen Hero, but still fought to save hyrule regardless. It’s the game that solidified Zelda as much more than just a damsel in distress. You shouldnt hate a game for being rushed and unfinished, not when the developers didnt physically have enough time to polish all those details. Dont be ashamed of a piece of art made by rushed workers, because what they made is still great, and what they made is still special. Its still better than so many other games. But then again, i’m a pokemon gen 9 enjoyer, my opinions probably shouldn’t be taken too seriously
Hey man, I saw your other video where you play other people's childhood games for the first time and excited to see this upload recommended to me. This was such a fun watch. It's not everyday you see someone diving into a franchise as big as ZELDA mostly blind. Hope you have a good rest of your week my dude.
thank you so much, that really means a lot! I'm actually so glad I decided to play the other Zelda games because it's definitely my favorite franchise now 😁 I hope you have a great week as well!
Fun Fact about Wind Waker. In The Japanese version, there were only 7 Triforce charts. You may think, "This is great! 398 less rupees spent on Tingle!" Think again. At Needle Rock Isle you normally get a Triforce chart from the golden gunboat. In the Japanese version you get a treasure chart. This treasure chart leads to a treasure chart, which leads to a treasure chart, which leads to a treasure chart, which leads to a treasure chart, which leads to the Triforce shard. Please take my money Tingle.
I'm personally not a fan of open world games so Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were unfortunately not for me. I prefer the formula for the older 3D Zelda games. Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess being my personal favorite Zelda games.
I like open zone games a lot more personally. I feel like open world trading away the structure of a linear game makes it so that you can't have any sort of legitimate progression, so the gameplay and difficulty of everything are the same the entire way through. I think the next Zelda would be so much better if you went through a series of large areas rather than one giant map, since then you could get new items throughout the game and the puzzles and enemies could actually get more challenging and complex as the game goes on.
Personally, I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other, as long as it’s well executed. For example, I didn’t really like skyward sword because I felt it was leaning too much on the linear aspect, but I loved OoT and TP because even with a linear progression, the overworld was open enough to feel almost like some 3d kind of metroidvania (both of their water temples can go to hell though. However, even if they have their problems, I also loved BotW and TotK for how well they used their world in their own separate ways , the former by making you want to explore every nook and cranny and the second by expanding said world and giving you the tools to truly transform it into your personal playground.
im so used to people being hyper critical of the zelda franchise and this was an incredibly good change of pace, its nice to see some actually rational takes.
If you want, in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, if you use a Horseriding or OoT Link Amibo, either will summon an Epona into the games.
Majora's mask going from S tier to A tier right the end was a stab to the heart. Overall a great video, i love the editing and commentary. I LOVE the LoZ series (which is probably why this video showed up in my algorithm even though i havent seen any of your other videos) and this was a treat to watch. Getting to experience someone's first time with each game was great! Its always a great day when someone discovers what a great series LoZ is As a long time Zelda fan (i played these games as they released) my list wouldnt be too dissimilar from your own. I would shift Majora's Mask ahead of TotK (its my personal favorite game so maybe some bias there) and i would move OoT in front of BotW, but would keep it in A tier
Thank you so much!! 😁 MM is goated for sure, it was just really hard for me to look back on those old games after playing totk with how expansive the game was. I'm honestly sooo glad I decided to do this video tho because the Zelda franchise is now my favorite!
I'm curious why ToTK? I felt really let down by that game. From the fact that the game is 90% recycled to the awful dungeons and literally nothing story, it was like they learned nothing from their mistakes in BOTW and instead just doubled down on bad ideas. I feel like the Zonai devices were the one good thing in the game, but they should have been saved for an actually new title and not just "overpriced BOTW DLC"
@AnaverdGaiden BoTW felt pointless. I would play the game for a little bit, but inevitably get bored and move to something else, and that never happened with ToTK. I constantly found it fun to play, the mechanics are awesome, and the story* is great. Both new areas are fun, the shrines are more fun than BoTW(albeit they both suck), and it was just generally a more fun time. BoTW seems so mid compared to ToTK. *the story from the Dragon Tears is great, but the characters and stuff in the present weren’t awesome, probably due to the fact that it had more story than BoTW
@@Drydoctor-qo5wtWhen it comes to the story, I was really let down how every dungeon's cutscene was just the same exact copy pasted scene over and over and over again, I think it is bar none the laziest storytelling I've ever seen in a game. Plus Ganondorf is his worst incarnation yet, he basically does nothing and his finale is such an underwhelming letdown. When it comes to the sky and the depths, I think they got reaally lazy with both of them. The sky barely has any islands and a majority of them are tiny and copy pasted, and the depths is the exact same assets everywhere you look with many parts that feel AI generated rather than actually created be the developers. I will agree that I liked the shrines, though, they were fun to do the first time. The dungeons were absolutely atrocious, sadly. I respect your opinion but I was really expecting more out of the game, it felt more like a budget title than the actual next big Zelda experience.
It’s interesting to see how different a perspective from a nowadays player can change the perception of the same games. I will be honest, with an age of 44 years, I am rather fond of the old games. To me, Skyward Sword is peak Zelda. That being said, I talk about the Version on the Nintendo Switch, followed by Wind Waker (the HD version on the Wii U) and Twilight Princess (again the HD Version on the Wii U). The HD Versions on the Wii U and the Switch Remaster of Skyward Sword fixed the issues that the original games had. And since BotW and TotK had a loooooot of padding to them, I ended up preferring the old stuff. That being said: I did spend 2600 hours in Breath of the Wild.
the HD versions did improve a lot for sure. jesus... 2600 hours in botw is insane. what I've realized after playing all the games is that there are many things we can appreciate about each one. I love the puzzles and dungeons of the older games yet love the expansiveness & exploration, story, and game mechanics of the newer ones. One thing's for sure, there are no bad Zelda games imo 👍
i love fans like you man. im 18 and i definitely have a preference towards botw and totk, but Skyward sword, Twilight Princess and Windwaker (all HD) are all peak zelda in their own way, they all follow a formula but differentiate enough with unique ideas and approaches, while botw and totk is familiar but does something very different, i love botw's initial mystery & themes and totk's raw exploration and creativity (although the building is very hit or miss with people). all zelda games are good and all have different experiences from each other
J e s u s, 2600 hours? Sounds like you *really* searched for those Koroks without a guide, lol. Honestly I put like 130 hours into 100%ing everything but the Koroks in Tears of the Kingdom and I was so burnt out way before that point. I feel like the two new games are too repetitive and lacking in variety, plus they're missing a lot of the charm of the previous games. Like, people will crap on Skyward Sword but every character, area, and enemy felt distinct and memorable. I feel like everything in BOTW/TOTK just blends together, there's a distinct lack of creativity with everything. It's like they focused so much on making the overworld feel alive that they didn't bother doing the same with everything else.
Fun fact for twilight princess once getting the master sword you can still technically attack the bosses with the original sword to deal damage but it’s just longer and tedious but it puts more of a challenge that way
@@henori_I just remembered some thing when going for breath of the wild master sword put some wood down right in between the sword and you let it on fire and then sleep but make sure you’re looking up at the sky were it says sleep and pole if you do it correctly and you go to the next day you’ll be able to take the master sword without even trying to pull it
@ Agreed another cool strategy is for tears of the Kingdom don’t even go for the master sword as soon as you take on the final fight you’ll just get it automatically there without having to go through the hassle of getting the second wheel of stamina
my favorite is still botw but I do think totk did most things better. especially all the little secrets hidden around the map that arent koroks which make it worth to explore
We have similar opinions on the series. Really good format and commentary for the vid, surprised you only have a few hundred subs. I've said before that there are no real bad zelda games (3D) but there are ones that i feel are better, they are hard to rank tho
Here is my tier list: S: Wind Waker, Majora's Mask A: Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time B: Skyward Sword C: Breath of the Wild F: Tears of the Kingdom
In my opinion these are my favorite 3D Zelda Games. 1. The Wind Waker 2. Breath of the Wild 3. Majora’s Mask 4. Ocarina of Time 5. Tears of the Kingdom
My problem with BOTW is that it's an amazing open world sandbox game but a crappy Zelda game. It has the worst dungeons and bosses in the series and very underwhelming NPCs and music compared to the other games, plus a really nothing plot. Plus the loss of items was a huge step back, and removed a lot of the difficulty progression and variety that the franchise is known for.
yah, wind waker has the problem of... it was never really finished. There were supposed to be more and better islands, two more dungeons, and no triforce quest in the first place. Most of the other issues can be solved by playing the Wii U version.
@@Ep1cBramb10I personally like the extreme lighting in the Wii U version but yeah not everyone is a fan. Plus the colors take a hit because the Wii U only supports Limited Range RGB
Majora’s Mask is so goated. The side quests and character interactions are by far the liveliest in the series, since the characters actually move around and do things on their own throughout the three days and the way they each deal with the upcoming death of their world in their own ways is way too real. That’s the real meat of the game in my opinion and why the few amount of temples doesn’t bother me
BOTW is MUCH harder the longer you play it, and the dlc makes the game actually insanely hard because of the Trial of the Master Sword. Master Mode also makes literally everything more difficult, so if somebody didn’t like how easy it was, Master Mode is for you. Its easily the most difficult Zelda game when you’re looking at the entire picture.
to me at least this is the definitive tierlist of the 3d zeldas from an unbiased source with compliments and complaints all i agree with, i have personal favourites but to me this is the objective ranking, very well though out and he ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAMES UNLIKE MOST, well done man, subbed
wind waker is one of the best zelda games to speedrun, but i can agree, it's pretty poorly paced casually. like, when it's good, it's really good, but that's sandwiched between the gaming equivalent of trudging through quicksand.
I know this is subjective n all but damn...putting one of my favorite games alone in C Tier hurt a lil bit xD Anyway, my top 3 3D Zelda games would be: 1.Wind Waker 2. Twilight Princess 3. Tears of the Kingdom
i'm sorry 😅 maybe I wasn't in the right mood idk but i'll definitely try out the HD version since it made lots of improvements! that's a great top 3 tho 👍
@@henori_ Haha no need to apologize. People have different tastes and that's totally fine. Personally, I've never played the HD version but I heard it improved a lot on the long tedious sections of the game by giving you a better sail and shortening the triforce quest, so you might like that one better :)
I'm seeing a lot of TOTK on top 3 lists here, it honestly feels like new game blindness. Like, I feel like in terms of the actual design of the game it's pretty mediocre, but people are still riding the high of it being the newest Zelda game. I think in 20 years people are going to be a lot more sour on it (like a reverse Zelda cycle, if you will)
@@AnaverdGaiden Honestly, fair point. I actually thought the same a while back and for some people it is most definitely true, but not for me personally. I actually moved it up from number 5 to 3 just recently XD. I just really love open world games and personally I don't think the game design is mediocore at all, I absolutely adore it. But at the end of the day stuff like that is mostly subjective. You still have a valid point tho, I just don't think it applies to everyone. To be fair, it is number 3 only on my top 3 3D Zelda games. Overall it is "just" number 4 xD
@@Ray-ew4yy I appreciate you being open minded, and I respect your opinion! Personally I feel like the game just flounders in a lot of ways. The story copy pastes the same cutscene after every dungeon and Ganondorf is totally wasted, the """final dungeon""" is a generic cave with zero buildup, the Zonai don't actually add anything to the plot and their lore isn't developed whatsoever, and the dungeons are all just a couple of shrine puzzles stapled together without any sort of interesting music, memorable visual themes, or a sense of progression, plus there's no unique enemies or minibosses in them. The game itself is also mostly copy-pasted from BOTW, and the new elements like the sky and depths feel half baked. The depths is just the same assets everywhere and the sky islands are all really small, there's barely any of them, and the same ones are reused all over the place. When they announced the game I was thinking "this is going to be Breath of the Wild but with all of the problems fixed". But instead they just sort of made the same exact game again with the Zonai mechanics included. While the Zonai mechanics are fun, I feel like they're wasted on a game that doesn't try to excel in any meaningful way. They would have been more fun to see in a game with a new world, new art style, and actually memorable dungeons, characters, and plot. TOTK honestly made me question Nintendo's ability to make future Zelda games, and that's coming from someone who loves the series to death.
First time playing majoras mask yeah I give it an A but the more you sit down and think about stuff in that game the more the game is an S tier game everything about it is amazing
35:14 my brothers would always do a Jay impersonation from Jay and Silent Bob “homeboy f&%cked an alien” but with Mipha 😭😭 “Look at him go… homeboy f’ed a fish 🥹”
Wait, you couldnt use the transformation masks in the Majora fight? If I recall, the only way thats possible is if you had the Fierce Deity's Mask...unless I was wrong.
It's interesting to see a fresh take on zelda games! Wind waker is probably my second favorite (MM being my favorite), but it's understandable why it would put someone off. I think the HD port fixes a lot of its biggest issues and makes it a lot easier to jump into. I think the sailing is a lot less tedious with the double speed sail that also changes the direction of the wind automatically. You should definitely consider playing some of the 2d games! Links awakening and link between worlds are great.
idk if anyone else said this yet, but the only real way to truly experience Majora's Mask is to get all the masks in the game. The main story, while great, is also kinda simple. You get to know so much more about the world and the people in it when you do all the side quests. There is also a bonus at the end of the game for doing so, but if you haven't heard about it, i wont spoil it but its totally worth it just based off cool factor alone
oh I got all the masks and gave them all to the kids. I just didn't put on the deity's mask bc I wanted the fight to be challenging. As for the bonus i'm sure I missed that 😂
@@henori_oh well I figured you just didn’t get all the masks. 😂 the deity mask was the bonus I was talking. I assumed you missed it cuz I didn’t see it and it’s actually an easy thing to miss for a first time blind player. Most people wouldn’t go out of the way to do all the side quests unless they are completionists
Majora's Mask is more enjoyable if you do the side quests. Getting every mask & fighting the last boss with the Fierce Deity is one of the most satisfying things in the game. Also, collecting all the stray fairies in each dungeon is worth it, imo.
i did all the side quests and got all the masks. I just didn't use the deity mask because I heard it made the final fight too easy and I wanted a challenge (why i fought the boss with only 3 hearts) 👍
part of why you died so much to Thunderblight Ganon is because you had god awful armor on, you see those little numbers on the armor in the menu, that's how much defense they grant, bigger numbers are better
but i wanted to look good 🥲 all jokes aside, I love challenging myself and am honestly fine fighting things when i'm weak. I did the bare minimum getting the heart containers 😂
tp and mm were amazing! yeah a little disappointed with the totk dungeons but the expansiveness and game mechanics made up for it, at least for me it did 😂
I’m hoping we can get an official port of Twilight Princess and some of the other 3d games to the switch honestly, like I know emulation exists but it’d be nice to have the ability to play one of my favorites on the go/during lunch break at work
Apparently Nintendo has had Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports developed for a while, but have been waiting to release them (according to the rumors, anyways)
I tried playing OOT on the DS and I just couldn't get into it. I feel like some of these games just didn't age well but would have probably been S tier back in the day. Currently playing through Skyward Sword HD and enjoying it. When you get stuck what do you do? I used to try my best to figure it out but after a certain point specifically with older Zelda games it's far more enjoyable to just look up the solution and avoid frustration.
yeah I get you, especially after playing the newer Zelda games. I'm really glad you're enjoying skyward sword tho! I like to take breaks when i'm stuck on something, just to refresh my brain. I've literally spent hours trying to solve some of the puzzles so don't feel discouraged 👍
Twilight Princess was the first zelda game i ever played and its still my favorite. Honestly your tier list is very similar to mine. Only change I would make to it is switch Ocarina and Skyward Sword around. Glad you liked these games. 2d Zelda video when lol
botw would be perfect if you couldnt heal or stop tiume while switching weapons or going in the inventory if they removed that the game would be so much tougher
Theres a reason why I don't do any dungeons in Majora's Mask on the final day. Especially after 12. At most I just do all the events that'll let me enter on next three day cycle.
@@henori_ To be fair I grew up with MM. And while I've always leaned more towards OoT between the two I have learned my lessons. It was your first playthrough. On another note. I also did Zora, Goron, Rito, and then Gerudo on my first BotW playthrough.y 2nd and 3rd was the reverse. Revali's Gale was very important to going places. The Rito gear too.
mmm that's fair yeah the game definitely wants you to go zora first, and i just went in a circle. after the first playthrough you fs know which ones to get first 👍
I was gonna say I was surprised at how low Windwaker landed given its my personal favorite of the OOT formula games, but after going through the comments, I did not realize just how much the Wii U version improved the game from the Game Cube original
Personally I still love the GameCube version too, plus I kind of prefer the visuals. It looks great on Wii U, but the bloom effect is a bit much and I miss how clean the GameCube version looks in comparison.
I think one of things that seems to be consistent is that you don't seem to be the explorative type. Wind Waker is all about discovery and exploration, but TP and SS are very linear.
actually, i'm very much the explorative type, it's why i hold totk so highly. to me, wind waker's discovery and exploration felt a little lacking. while it may seem large, like you're literally sailing the seas, it wasn't all that grand to me. I love the explorative aspect of botw and totk because at every turn, there's something to do and appreciate. I love TP and SS for different reasons, not so much for whether or not the games are linear or explorative (i love the story & characters)
While it likely wouldn't change your opinion of Wind Waker, you really should have played it before Twilight Princess. That way, you'd get to experience the games in release order and get a feel for how things changed.
I agree. I think it was more so because I was following the timeline so the order between the two didn't matter too much, and I was really eager to try something new with TP but in hindsight, WW before TP would have been the best
@@henori_ That doesn't follow the timeline either, as in that case you'd want to play Skyward Sword first. Then again, it can be hard enough to follow the timeline for a dedicated fan, let alone someone new to the series. Technically, WW and TP take place at the same time, just in different timelines.
the thing is, i played oot first so there was never a good time to play skyward sword. it just wouldn't make sense to dip out and play skyward sword instead of majora's mask. i guess what I meant was, from oot i wanted to follow the timeline. but then again, i played totk before botw (not intentionally) so order didn't really matter in the end lol
@@henori_ have you considered playing the Song of Time? Gosh, it's like you didn't even PLAY Majora's Mask. Go back to the 1st day and tell yourself to play Skyward Sword first. And make sure you split the timeline so you can properly experience the TP and WW.
It didn't control well and the fight went on for too long, though. All of the additions and changes in the 3D version were awful besides being able to choose the time you fast forward to.
First time you moved OOT behind Majoras i understand, I agree Twilight in S I understand. Moving OOT to A was disrespectful. Edit: ok, I havent finish the video yet. You are still moving it down. I hope its a long joke.

Please take my money Tingle.
im glad someone came to their senses and changed that shit 😮💨
favorite Zelda Games have always been Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, I love both of them so much that it's hard choose one over the other.
I love them both for different reasons, so they can share number 1 😂
But what would you choose to put first if you had to?😅
just going off VIBES alone... skyward sword 😂
I love skyloft and the characters too much
Ngl I don’t see small RUclipsrs this good ever if you ever become famous please dear god please remember me
isaacmiles_9, if i ever make it big you'll be the first person i think of 🫡
Great video, bro! Really like the editing.
Greetings from Mexico!
thank you 😁👋
I'm personally not a fan of open world games so Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were unfortunately not for me.
I think the next Zelda would be so much better if you went through a series of large areas rather than one giant map, since then you could get new items throughout the game and the puzzles and enemies could actually get more challenging and complex as the game goes on.
i get you 👍great favorites !
Beating demise without a shield is mind blowing
I didn't even realize until the very end lmaoo 😅
Arin Hanson moment /affectionate
TP where it belongs, thank you sir
The problem with WW is the dev hell it was subjected to. It WAS unfinished.
yeah that's unfortunate 😔HD made lots of improvements tho so gotta be happy with that
im so used to people being hyper critical of the zelda franchise and this was an incredibly good change of pace, its nice to see some actually rational takes.
are you serious? those people are crazy, the zelda franchise is soo good 👌
If you want, in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, if you use a Horseriding or OoT Link Amibo, either will summon an Epona into the games.
Its always a great day when someone discovers what a great series LoZ is
As a long time Zelda fan (i played these games as they released) my list wouldnt be too dissimilar from your own.
@@henori_ glad you loved the series so much! It's been my favorite for a long time. It's always great when new people join the group
Great work man, as a 30yr old man I really enjoyed you playing most my childhood games! Subbed
thank you!! i'm honestly jealous of people that grew up playing the Zelda games, but better late than never i guess 😅
Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, and ToTK are my favorites
VERY solid favorites! 👌
@henori_ Ty
You’re awesome bro,deserve more subscribers
thank you !! 😁
One thing's for sure, there are no bad Zelda games imo 👍
i love fans like you man. im 18 and i definitely have a preference towards botw and totk, but Skyward sword, Twilight Princess and Windwaker (all HD) are all peak zelda in their own way, they all follow a formula but differentiate enough with unique ideas and approaches, while botw and totk is familiar but does something very different, i love botw's initial mystery & themes and totk's raw exploration and creativity (although the building is very hit or miss with people). all zelda games are good and all have different experiences from each other
thank you! it's why I love the franchise, theres always something you can love and appreciate about each and every game!
If you got all the masks in majora's mask, you get the fierce deity's mask.
I did get it actually, I just wanted to challenge myself 😅
@henori_ Oh. Awesome.
1. Twilight Princess
2. Majora’s Mask
3. Ocarina of Time
4. Wind Waker
5. Skyward Sword
Great Video! You are extremly underrated. i wish u best of luck. im already excited for the next video
tyty, I really appreciate it! 😄
Honestly the funniest part of this video is that he played TOTK before BOTW and seeing his confusion
Came for the Twilight Princess love and stayed for the rest ;D
tp deserves it 😌
Windwaker as valid as the criticism is, hurt my soul. Nostalgia will always keep it as S for me. Played the HD version as a kid 😔

Majoras mask over OoT is all i wanted from this video, the rest is extra
lmao nice 😂
RIGHTTTT ITS JUST GOT SOMETHING OOT DOESNT HAVE YK
Fun fact for twilight princess once getting the master sword you can still technically attack the bosses with the original sword to deal damage but it’s just longer and tedious but it puts more of a challenge that way
great for a second playthrough 👍
@ I will warn you it won’t work against the ice boss or the Zant fight or Ganondorf
@@henori_I just remembered some thing when going for breath of the wild master sword put some wood down right in between the sword and you let it on fire and then sleep but make sure you’re looking up at the sky were it says sleep and pole if you do it correctly and you go to the next day you’ll be able to take the master sword without even trying to pull it
ahhh interesting, always cool seeing these strats lol
@ Agreed another cool strategy is for tears of the Kingdom don’t even go for the master sword as soon as you take on the final fight you’ll just get it automatically there without having to go through the hassle of getting the second wheel of stamina
I can't agree more on how you positioned each game. Great video :]
thanks! 😊
my favorite is still botw but I do think totk did most things better. especially all the little secrets hidden around the map that arent koroks which make it worth to explore
agreed 👍
Surprisingly windwaker had at least 2 dungeons cut from the game so it was originally supposed to be longer
yeah, I thought the game was weirdly short when I played it
Just subbed!! Your pacing is genuinely so great. Whatever you’re doing keep doing it! Great video and so excited to see what you do next!!

In my opinion these are my favorite 3D Zelda Games.
1. The Wind Waker
2. Breath of the Wild
3. Majora’s Mask
4. Ocarina of Time
5. Tears of the Kingdom
Both Wind Waker HD and Skyward Sword HD fix some of the pacing issues.

33:50 I am convinced this is exactly what the game designers intended
My top 3 favorites are Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess, and Breath of the Wild 🔥
valid 👌
Same!!! Best three games!!
The fact that you don’t have even 500 subscribers is crazy. This is super high quality material, bro.
thank you so much! 😁
yah, wind waker has the problem of... it was never really finished. There were supposed to be more and better islands, two more dungeons, and no triforce quest in the first place. Most of the other issues can be solved by playing the Wii U version.
mmm so i've heard. I think it'll be a while before I revisit wind waker, and it'll definitely be the Wii U version
@@henori_ it does look... different, and not always in a good way.
noted, ty!
That’s the real meat of the game in my opinion and why the few amount of temples doesn’t bother me
there really isn't a game like it. I 100% agree with you on the characters, and I think the 3 days mechanic is just so creative and unique
I agree, it's definitely the best Zelda game!
So happy to see the love for MM, It's always been my favorite Zelda and it's still my favorite game of all time
looking back, it deserves S honestly 👌

Bro what an amazing video, you should have a lot more subscribers. Glad you could make up for the blasphemous wind waker slander with the Totk praise.
tyty! haha mb for the wind waker take, totk is goated tho 👌
What's good about TOTK outside of the Zonai mechanics, though?
This is probably the only time I ever agree with a Zelda tier list. Quality choices. Also nice editing, humor, and insights. :)
thank you!! 😁
wind waker is one of the best zelda games to speedrun, but i can agree, it's pretty poorly paced casually. like, when it's good, it's really good, but that's sandwiched between the gaming equivalent of trudging through quicksand.
i adore TP but out of curiosity, how was the escort mission for you?
I think I nearly failed haha, but it wasn't all that bad 😅
@@henori_ haha good job, it's pretty notorious for being frustrating. depending on your console the controls are evil
As the originator of the Colgate joke, I am proud.
lool very nice 🫡
no way bro put worst for wind waker one of the BEST zelda games
Skyward Sword feels repetitive to the point that I'm pretty sure it would be my infinite hell loop.
Yeah sometimes but once I got used to the game it was beautiful
nah this guy is actually funny 😂randomly popped up on my homepage
I know this is subjective n all but damn...putting one of my favorite games alone in C Tier hurt a lil bit xD
Anyway, my top 3 3D Zelda games would be:
1.Wind Waker
2. Twilight Princess
First time playing majoras mask yeah I give it an A but the more you sit down and think about stuff in that game the more the game is an S tier game everything about it is amazing
that's how I feel as well. it's more of a S- or A+ for me. I think it was just hard for me to look back after playing totk 😫
Yeah, I agree. As a kid I preferred Ocarina of Time more, but as an adult nothing beats Majora's Mask
35:14 my brothers would always do a Jay impersonation from Jay and Silent Bob “homeboy f&%cked an alien” but with Mipha 😭😭
“Look at him go… homeboy f’ed a fish 🥹”
your brothers are goated for that 😂
Wait, you couldnt use the transformation masks in the Majora fight? If I recall, the only way thats possible is if you had the Fierce Deity's Mask...unless I was wrong.
nope, I couldn't use them. I did have the deity's mask but chose not to use it 😅
@henori_ Damn. If you ever replay this game, give the mask a try. It's a really satisfying reward for getting all those masks, if a little shallow.

I've heard great things about the HD version 👍
I'll definitely visit the 2D games! just don't wanna burn out from Zelda games yk
idk if anyone else said this yet, but the only real way to truly experience Majora's Mask is to get all the masks in the game.
I didn't even know until a viewer told me to do it. didn't spoil the "what " but just told me to get all the masks since it was worth 😂
the little chuckles were so funny
Majora's Mask is more enjoyable if you do the side quests. Getting every mask & fighting the last boss with the Fierce Deity is one of the most satisfying things in the game. Also, collecting all the stray fairies in each dungeon is worth it, imo.
i did all the side quests and got all the masks. I just didn't use the deity mask because I heard it made the final fight too easy and I wanted a challenge (why i fought the boss with only 3 hearts) 👍
Can you please tell me what emulator you used for twilight princes and skyward sword
search up Henriko Magnifico 👍
part of why you died so much to Thunderblight Ganon is because you had god awful armor on, you see those little numbers on the armor in the menu, that's how much defense they grant, bigger numbers are better
but i wanted to look good 🥲
all jokes aside, I love challenging myself and am honestly fine fighting things when i'm weak. I did the bare minimum getting the heart containers 😂
I love that you loved mm and tp so much. As sequels go they are bangers and totally agree with your assessment on the dungeons of tears.
tp and mm were amazing! yeah a little disappointed with the totk dungeons but the expansiveness and game mechanics made up for it, at least for me it did 😂
if you look for every memory in botw you get the true ending
Keep up bro this video is goated
Also OOT is the best zelda game
thank you! it is one of the goats for a reason 👌
I’m hoping we can get an official port of Twilight Princess and some of the other 3d games to the switch honestly, like I know emulation exists but it’d be nice to have the ability to play one of my favorites on the go/during lunch break at work
mmm that would be nice 👌
2d Zelda video when lol
mmm i can see the oot and ss switch 👌
as for 2D, i'll hold on that since I dont wanna burn out on Zelda games hehe
botw would be perfect if you couldnt heal or stop tiume while switching weapons or going in the inventory if they removed that the game would be so much tougher

Theres a reason why I don't do any dungeons in Majora's Mask on the final day. Especially after 12. At most I just do all the events that'll let me enter on next three day cycle.
that's why you're smart and i'm dumb 😔
@@henori_ To be fair I grew up with MM. And while I've always leaned more towards OoT between the two I have learned my lessons. It was your first playthrough.
On another note. I also did Zora, Goron, Rito, and then Gerudo on my first BotW playthrough.y 2nd and 3rd was the reverse. Revali's Gale was very important to going places. The Rito gear too.
mmm that's fair
yeah the game definitely wants you to go zora first, and i just went in a circle. after the first playthrough you fs know which ones to get first 👍
I was gonna say I was surprised at how low Windwaker landed given its my personal favorite of the OOT formula games, but after going through the comments, I did not realize just how much the Wii U version improved the game from the Game Cube original
yeah, the wii u version made lots of improvements 👍
I agree. I think it was more so because I was following the timeline so the order between the two didn't matter too much, and I was really eager to try something new with TP
but in hindsight, WW before TP would have been the best
For wind waker you should have played the wiiu version it has so many more improvements
oh for sure, really glad they made those improvements
That would require owning a Wii U, though xD
Majora’s Mask 3D turns the Twinmold fight into a full-blown cinematic kaiju battle, not just “Link’s regular moveset but with giant SFX”
yeah im realizing now the remakes really do add a lot 😂
It didn't control well and the fight went on for too long, though. All of the additions and changes in the 3D version were awful besides being able to choose the time you fast forward to.
@@AnaverdGaiden Yeah, MM "Remake" was one of the worst remakes...they ruined the bosses for no reason, too...WHY?
First time you moved OOT behind Majoras i understand, I agree
Twilight in S I understand.
Moving OOT to A was disrespectful.
Edit: ok, I havent finish the video yet. You are still moving it down. I hope its a long joke.
haha gotta add a little spice 😅
in all honesty, it was just hard to look back on the older games after playing botw and totk. I hate my brain for being programmed that way
also, if you end up playing the 2d games i highly recommend a link between worlds and the minish cap! both very solid games and in my opinion the best of the subgenre
ty for the recommendation, yeah I'll definitely try out the 2d games in the future 👍
You would probably like Wind Waker HD more, pacing was improved a fair bit
oh 100%. gotta let my feelings for ww rn sink before I dive into the HD version lol 😅
I recommend the 2D ones too
ty for the recommendation, I'll definitely visit the 2D games in the future. just don't wanna burn out from playing too much Zelda hehe 😅
Hell yeah, Link to the Past and Minish Cap are the best!
@AnaverdGaiden Minish Cap is awesome. Never fully played through LttP though, always lost interest after I beat the mace miniboss guy
@@Drydoctor-qo5wt Oh you definitely should come back to it, LttP is so good. You can beat it in just a few hours, so it's worth setting aside some time to finish.
You have the calmest frustration in the world. I just start raging 😭😭
lmaoo, you're real for that 😂
