    I saw a great technique for soaking excessive amounts of dishes on Get It Done With Gabby's RUclips channel. She filled several Rubbermaid totes with soapy water and put the dirty dishes in to soak while she was cleaning the rest of the kitchen.

      Funny you mention that. My very first free cleaning, which I actually never put on RUclips because I had so many problems with the filming, that's exactly what I did. I had several totes filled with dishes to soak. Great tip!

      Midwest magic cleaning also like to start by cleaning both sides of the sink so he can leave piles of dishes to soak and pretty much just takes intermissions where he’ll come rinse a new load of dishes throughout the entire video!

    I'm going to address a few concerns in this pinned comment. Firstly, even though I did in this video, you should NEVER MIX OVEN CLEANER with any other cleaner. I wasn't really thinking anything of it when I did it here because I was just "adding a little extra degreasing power" in my mind and though everything turned out fine (great, actually, as this was the easiest oven cleaning I have ever done), I shouldn't recommend you do it. I haven't found anything specifically regarding mixing oven cleaner and Super Clean, but several articles about just not mixing oven cleaner with anything else. So, I hope that clears that up!
    Regarding the safety of the children: I promise you, despite the mess you see, they are well taken care of. I spent four days there and witnessed the interaction between mom and kids. She is a very loving and caring mother who is just simply overwhelmed, but obviously loves her children and was very aware of their needs. Please understand that there are other factors here that I won't delve into that add to the stress of parenting, but she handles it all remarkably well given her circumstances. They all just needed a little help to get things back under control.
    As for the cliffhanger I left about my son and the swallowed bullet...he hasn't "fired" anything out yet. 😂 We took him in for another x-ray on Saturday and it had moved along to the upper GI tract. We will take him in for another x-ray today to see what's happening, make sure it's not getting hung up anywhere. There is a small possibility, if it gets stuck, they will have to do a colonoscopy or surgery to remove it. Praying that doesn't happen, but thankful for doctors and nurses who are able to handle the situation if that does become the situation. He also wants me to make sure everyone knows it was accidental, not on purpose. He is a fidgeter and just have the end of it in his mouth while he was watching something and somehow inhaled wrong or something to where it went into his throat and his gag reflex, rather than making him cough it out, sort of sucked it down instead. Crazy! My sister says he's like Chuck Norris -- he eats bullets for breakfast!
    Lastly, regarding the 70 hours I am working each week and the concern about that -- that 70 hours (sometimes around 60) INCLUDES the free cleaning I do each week. I'm also including the time I spend editing videos which takes an enormous amount of time, way longer than I ever imagined, but I'm starting to get faster. It also includes my medical transcription job (about 6-8 hours each week), my medical coding job (about 15-25 hours each week), and a couple of paid cleaning jobs that I do each week for some friends. This is all due to losing my medical transcription business (except one doctor) a few months ago because of speech recognition technology. I laid off several employees and had to find something else to do, which is when I started this channel, but also had to take a job doing the coding to make ends meet until I could get this channel to the point where it would sustain itself. So, I know it's temporary, which is a relief because I would burn out really quick if I kept this up. So, THANK YOU EVERYONE for supporting my channel!! It means so much to me! I thrive when I'm helping people and you are making that possible!!❤🧡💛

    No judgment here. It's easy for parents with very young children to get overwhelmed with housekeeping. The best part is that they recognized that they needed help and contacted you. Even better that the mom was asking lots of questions and pitching in with the cleaning. Having a clean, organized home does wonders for good mental health. I'm so happy that they are taking steps to make positive changes. Thank you for making a difference for this family!!! 🥰

    One thing I have learned over the years in keeping a clean house is you keep things put away in cub-bards and closets . Throw away all trash and do laundry every day. Make sure all the drawers and doors are closed and things appear tidy and you feel better about yourself. We all need help sometimes so never feel bad about needing help.

      @@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp I have found the best way to clean blinds is take them down, toss in the bathtub with cleaner and let them soak, best thing is to have the hand wand in the tub too. My sister and I used to clean houses, cottages and construction cleans. It is satisfying to clean especially for someone else - when you walk out when you are done, you don't see the child spill the juice on the just cleaned floor lol! When I was very young, early 1970’s, my siblings and I were watching the old, black and white “Dark Shadows”. Sitting in the dark, watching in one of our rooms. I don’t even remember where I got the bullet, but it was in my mouth. A scary scene took place, I sucked in my breath and down my throat went the bullet. I told my older brother who proceeded to tell me not to eat anything hot, or I’d blow up. A few days later my mother noticed I wasn’t eating, after she asked why, I explained. I was immediately taken to the E.R. where I was taken to get an X-ray. Nothing was found and the Dr said it had probably passed by that time. My father kept better care of his bullets, my brother got a good talking to, I didn’t learn my lesson because less than a year later, I swallowed a thumb tack… never told anyone, I was fine.

    That looks amazing. It is so overwhelming when things get out of control like that. Looking at it from an objective viewpoint, its easy to make a list and compartmentalize and go okay, 1. Pick up all the clothes and get the laundry started, 2. Start a load of dishes, 3. Pick up all the trash you can find. But when you are living in the middle of it and every surface is covered and nothing has a home, it will make your head spin. Also, some people were just never taught how to clean and its an ongoing process to come into contact with people like you who can offer helpful strategies. This turned out really well and I'll bet they are thrilled.

    I love Auri's videos. They do live much differntly than we do. Americans live on complete overload. Too much of everything in every single room and yes our bathrooms should be like over there with a drain in them. So nice!!

      Totally agree about living in complete overload. We have excess of everything! More stuff does not equal more happiness. Instead it makes us slaves.

    I just came across your channel and just need to say what a beautiful person you are. So empathetic, caring and generous. Not a lot of people stop to think about what others are going through that leads to the situation. They don't understand which is fine but many don't bother to try to understand how quickly things can get overwhelming and even though you want to keep things going your brain goes in a different direction and things just shut down and a lot of the time there's literally nothing you can do about it but wait and keep breathing. Will definitely keep watching and liking. Thank you for being you.

      Thank you, Beth! I'm learning something new with every homeowner I work with about how trauma and mental illness affect people differently. It's really sad and I think any one of us is very capable of being in a situation like this given the right circumstances. I wasn't always this understanding, but this whole new venture has taught me a lot of compassion for others. People go through some pretty rough things. It sounds like you have some experience with that.🤔 I'm so glad you're here. Thanks for watching!❤️😊

    There’s good money to be made in cleaning. I think the trick is being trustworthy and respectful of clients privacy. No client wants their home cleaner gossiping about them. And it is a skill ! Not just anyone can clean a house like this. Btw, the outfit, looks sharp !

    • @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp
      @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp  Год назад +2

      The homeowners know up front that I will be sharing their story, but that I will keep them anonymous, so no gossiping here. It's part of my objective to help other people understand what living with mental health struggles or physical challenges can look like and to help those who are living in the same type of situation to not feel alone in their struggle.

    I grew up in the USA with wooden floors in the bathroom, no drain. Now I live in Australia and we are required to build bathrooms with concrete floors and drains. Not everyone has a hose, sprayer, but they are great when working with disabled and elderly. I think Aurikatariina works mostly in modern apartments.

    • @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp
      @ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp  Год назад +1

      Yes, usually I start with trash. Sometimes though I start with the thing taking up the most room, which, in this case, was laundry, as you can see! LOL! I just wanted to get that all gathered and started washing since I knew it would take several loads to make a difference. Then after that, I went after the trash.

    My cleaning rules are simple;
    1. Bag in, bag out. If you buy five bags of groceries, equal number of food containers and boxes must go out. New shirt? One must be tossed or donated. New shoes? One pair must be thrown out or donated.
    2. Nothing on the floor but furniture legs. No boxes, bags, or things on the floor. It reduces bugs and make sweeping and mopping easier.
    3. Gut and clean each area of house once a year. Drawers, cupboards, closets, corners, shelves. Try to reduce by 25%. This allows open space and room to get new things.
    4. All clothes should be hung or put into drawers. If there’s no room, then some clothes must be discarded.
    5. Daily trash removal. Weekly refrigerator cleaning, floor mopping. Monthly cleaning all sheets and blankets. Yearly cleaning all windows and shampooing of all carpets.

    First tip. Put the garbage in the garbage can and then take out the garbage when it’s full to the curb or the dumpster just so it’s out of the house.
    Keep up with the laundry, wash, dry, fold AND put away.
    Keep up with the dishes .
    These things give you the best bang for the buck.
    This is the reason why I have very few small appliances and I don’t have a toaster oven, nope 👎 because I don’t want to clean them. I also don’t have any blinds for the same reason. Curtains are much easier. 😊. I also for the shower I do not have any shower doors for the same reason I just use a curtain and then when it gets icky I throw it away so those are my tips for you because I’ve been there and I don’t want to do that anymore.
    The small appliances that I do have I use them then I want them down and then I put them away in the cabinet or a pantry because if you leave them out on the counter, they’re going to get splattered on by other things that you’re doing and making
