Family mourning after two sisters killed in crash on Highway 152 in South Bay

- A horrific accident in the South Bay leaves two young sisters dead. The girls, ages 4 and 7, were riding in a van with their family when they were hit by another car Friday. Marianne Favro reports.

Instead of getting where he needed to go in a hurry by doing something stupid and dangerous, he killed two beautiful, little girls. I hope he does prison time. May Elisa and Valentina rest in sweet peace while asleep with the angels.

there are so many drivers who attempt to pass a slow moving truck even when there are incoming cars on the opposite lane.
If you are going to pass....try to inch over a bit to see if there is an on coming car coming. Sometimes you can do that. Like drift a tinny bit and come back over quickly. But.....if you literally are in the other lane and see a car coming at you closer, you gotta swerve to the right where truck is not...move to the shoulder. That other driver is a dumb ass. Can't fix dumb asses.

The problem is that this is the only one way to get to the central valley to Los Angeles, and you have only one lane all the way. Once you get stuck behind a truck, it will be a long time before you can get to the passing lane. The road needs to have one more lane at least. Don’t allow passing using an opposite lane by having that extra lane.

I remember this road was called "Blood Alley" back in the day. It has improved a bit as of late, but it looks like its reputation has sadly returned.
Actually, “Blood Alley” is a 30-mile stretch of Monterey Highway(Road)/101 (Old El Camino) from Gilroy to Morgan Hill. “By the 1970s, as an expressway with only three lanes (for both directions combined)[2] and high volumes of traffic, it had so many traffic accidents that it became known as "blood alley”.-Wikipedia “Monterey Road”
They should post an Alex with web page posted to advise further. Sounds like a spot we had in Colorado on the 285. Dead man’s curve we called that one

That part if highway 152 has no passing, clearly indicated by a double yellow center line. All of the 2 lane section, There should be no passing.

Highway 152 needed improvements 30 years ago.
California has had the money to widen Highway 152 but politicians are afraid of the land owners.

What a terrible story, I'm sorry for their loss. I can't stand all these terrible drivers out here, especially those in Teslas. Wondering if they weren't properly belted though, being that the parents and 4 month survived.

@@pushslice I’m curious if you’ll feel the same way about other EVs like Rivian, Polestars, Lucids? Electric BMWs, Audis, VWs, Hummers, Trucks all of which are out on the road right now as I type. Or if your jealousy and or hatred for Tesla is solely for Teslas and those who drive them? Edit: I don’t blame you for feeling the way you do. The media hates Tesla and wants you to hate them too. Had this been about a Toyota, Jeep, Honda , Benz, BMW etc… trying to move past a semi truck would they have mentioned the model/manufacturer in the story? Pay close attention going forward and I hope you’ll understand what I’m saying.
A similar loss of two daughters happened during a shootout at the Allen, Texas Premium outlet mall where a man opened fire there last May. Hopefully, they’ll have a third replacement child there.
Those poor kids. I hope they didn’t suffer. Kids that age going through such a scary and painful event has no divine plan.
All this just so the Tesla driver can maybe save five minutes of their time.

So lets not address the REAL problem with 152 which is the dumbass truck drivers that can't even come near the speed limit. Lets blame the person who passes them. Charge the truck driver for endangering everyone else around him by going too slow.
