I also HATE sunglasses. I refuse to wear them even when I'm driving. I feel like I can't see anything. No one understands me, so I'm stoked that you do 😅🥲
i HATE sunglasses i think I’ve owned maybe 3 pairs in my life. They’re uncomfy and annoying so I feel
I'm the same!! I also feel like the pressure of the glasses on the bridge of my nose gives me a headache, even super lightweight glasses. I wear them for like max 5 minutes at the beach 😭

You should check the toys' batteries. Sometimes when the batteries deteriorate they create a connection that causes the toys to go off randomly.

I am so glad you guys are back to posting your podcast! The 2 of you gave me the gift of laughter when I was at the lowest point of my life. The positive energy you put out helped me keep going IDK if you guys still have the RELAX cell phone, but I sent you a long text last year. I also have a poll on my TikTok pg where over 20k people laughed along with y’all debating whether September or January was the 1st month of the year. (Sorry Erik, we voted with Colleen on this one.) Thank you for being real and authentic, and sharing both the good and the bad. Your strength in continuing to fight when you weren’t sure you could, Colleen…well you helped me keep fighting too. I feel the exact same about sunglasses! But I also have pretty bad astigmatism and hate driving at night. I hate sitting in dark rooms. Wearing sunglasses feels like dimming the light switch which just feels frustrating to not be able to see fully

Same here! My optometrist made me get prescription sunglasses because of how light my eyes are and how light sensitive that makes me.
Ya, she has brown eyes tho. I guess that’s probably why.
I have very very light brown eyes and I can’t walk when the sun is too bright,I can’t see and my eyes are watering like crazy 🙂
Generally, people with lighter colored eyes are more sensitive to light. I have blue eyes and I don't go anywhere without my sunglasses. I even see better driving in the rain during the daytime versus without wearing them. They are also helpful in preventing wrinkles caused by squinting.
Hi Colleen & Erik, I just wanted to share something with you!
I'm here visiting my boyfriend in Washington! I'm from Australia, we are long distance. The other day we were having a beautiful day near Seattle, when all of a sudden I started feeling really anxious with no explanation (Love anxiety). We were on our way to the beach and as soon as we got there I began looking for sea glass, after thinking of you and Erik. It quickly quietened my mind and I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration and helping me through that. I'm so excited to go seaglass hunting more often now, I think I've found a new hobby. Thank you for all the joy you've ever brought me, I'm such a long time viewer. Love the rock & seaglass content so much 😭❤️

Fun fact! Eye color affects how much light can enter your eyes. I have blue eyes and going outside in bright light def obstructs my vision. Everything is super over exposed and bright. Wearing sunglasses helps me see better! It makes sense that sunglasses could actually obstruct vision for people with darker eyes and less light sensitivity.

I never comment on anything but I felt very inclined to say that I absolutely cannot stand sunglasses because they make me feel so blind and nobody has ever agreed with me on that and when you said they make you feel blind I was like oh my gosh no way, I really thought I was the only one

Me. I HATE SUNGLASSES and refuse to ware them. They obstruct my vision, I get dizzy, they fall off if I bend down or something. Ugh. Nope nope nope. Just don’t look directly at the sun. Period. I stand with Colleen on the sunglasses.

My place is HAUNTED!! When I moved into my house it was definitely not haunted but I am an antique dealer and collector so it definitely is haunted now. 😅 My partner and I joke about how we can tell the difference when I bringing something home that is haunted or not. I refuse to use sage in my house because some of the ghosts are just nice and hanging out. We even have a cat ghost that showed up a month before my cat passed away! Twice now I had to remove something from my property so I could sage it to bring it back to my house to sell,😂 both of those items were glass vanity decor acquired months apart. Creepy stuff
Colleen! I got the chills about the rubbing back story. I experienced that as an adult. I was going through a tough period and I slept crying that night. Then I felt somone petting me kind of, and even covered me with the sheet. It was scary and comforting at the same time 😢
I cannot believe someone else feels the same way about sunglasses! I have always secretly felt this. I even get thin sunglasses so I can wear them but just look over the top SO I CAN SEE 😂

I loved this!!! The spooky stories, the dolphins, the pillow preference (LOL!), and the angel encounter.
Made me shiver, laugh, and gasp. By the way, I too have had a spirit episode. In the dark, in my bed, very upset over my twin brother who was hospitalized at the time with internal bleeding. I was probably 15 or so, sobbing and upset over his situation. A dark shadow figure appeared next to my bed, but through my teary eyes I could not really make it out. But I know one thing. I was not frightened. I was overcome with a calmness. I blinked, and the figure disappeared. A few days later my brother made it out of the hospital. I felt relieved, and I will never forget that messenger, whoever it was. Like it was telling me, everything is going to be ok.

When I wear sunglasses it messes with my depth perception. Many times I have almost fallen down stairs because of them.
Hi guys! Just an FYI Colleen, people with light colored eyes ( blue for me) are more sensitive to the light than Brown eyes peeps! It can actually be painful just because of the brightness!

Colleen! You’re not alone at all with the sunglasses hatred. My bf has super sensitive eyes so he thinks I’m crazy for hating them but I just do! They actually GIVE me a headache more than they prevent them. I don’t have light sensitivity so I don’t need them and I agree that it feels like it actually hinders my vision.
The though of ghosts really freaks me out, like REALLY freaks me out.

I have always felt the bedroom door opening was a small boy coming to sleep with his parents. I see him as around 3 years old with dark hair. When the little ones are waving at 'someone' ask questions like "What color is their hair?, Are they bigger than you? Smaller/bigger than Flynn? What do they like to play with? Can you ask them their name? Are they a boy or girl? Are they happy/sad? When is their birthday? Or even, What year is it for them?" I was a nanny and when my little one woke up from a nap he would stand at the corner of the crib and 'talk' with someone. If I left the door cracked, I could watch the interaction of him and "someone" standing beside the crib. As soon as I touched the door, he would look at me and then back to the corner and he reacted as if whatever had been there had left. I would let him spend time doing this before I opened the door. He was always happy and giggling in these interactions. I would love to walk through your house. My mother and her friend used the Ouija board. My dad was in Korea. My mother asked it when my dad would come home. Their fingers moved to the letters spelling "Midnight tonight." The silence was broken when the phone rang at midnight. My dad was calling from the airport and was on his way home.
I don’t wear sunglasses either. I wore them sometimes when younger but that was more for looks. As my eyes got worse I stopped wearing them all together because being able to see is more important.
I also disliked the fact that they made things darker and harder to see. My eyes aren’t sensitive so I preferred to perhaps have to squint a bit then grow around in the darkness.
I typically only where sunglasses when I’m driving, so I get you girl.

You're not alone, Colleen. I also hate sunglasses, never wear them. Never saw the point, you can't see as well with them and no one ever understood it.
I also hate sunglasses! I totally agree they make everything look different and it’s much harder to see with them even in the brightest sun. It just bugs me out that everything looks different darker, or a weird shade.
I too never really wear sunglasses. It dims the light so much that it is difficult to see everything. Every once in a while I need them to drive (if I am driving into the sun), but other than that, I don't use them.

Ahh! seeing the pieces of china that Eric found unlocked a memory I have when I went to Italy in 2019 and we were sitting beside the sea for lunch. The water was so clear and beautiful. I walked in half way with my clothes on (I just couldn’t miss out on the opportunity) and found tons of hunks of marble and pieces of pottery. It was incredible and there was SO MUCH of it. It was dreamy and I love to imagine what that marble was apart of once and who saw it and touched it before I found it at the bottom of the sea.
The sunglasses thing is textbook sensory processing disorder. I have heard Colleen describe a hatred for tags in her shirt and stickers. I see you girl. Me too ☺️

I agree with Colleen about the sunglasses! It’s also the same reason I hate hats, because it obstructs my view! Whereas, my husband won’t even drive a car if he doesn’t have sunglasses. The second his eyes are outdoors, he needs sunglasses lol😅

The sunglasses ordeal is literally me! I went to Morro Bay this weekend and I literally told my friend my vision is obstructed, but okay I’ll wear them. I took them off two minutes later! I’m with you Colleen!!!!

25:40 when talking about women in white dresses and the beach that you go to....there's an orb that comes out nowhere between the two of you and then goes down by the candles infront of Colleen! The ghosts were letting you know they were there with you! :)
Anyone see at 17:00 when Colleen said “I know you don’t believe in that stuff but I think it’s haunted for sure” the third candle from the left let a blow of smoke out for no reason.. weird candles normally don’t just do that

I am with you Colleen. I NEVER wear sunglasses. I agree it makes things harder to see and I can't stand things being darker😊
If you get actually good quality glasses they make everything actually look brighter or more saturated but yet block out all the harmful rays and wont make you squint or damage your eyes. I HATE sunglasses that only tint things darker, they make things harder to see but also they don't actually have any UV protection, so you should try on some better quality sunglasses.

So, blue eyes are the most sensitive to the light and brown eyes are the least sensitive to the light. Melanin protects brown eyes. My brown eyed husband never wears sunglasses and I never leave the house without them as a gray eyed individual. Thought you'd both appreciate that.

Hey a glasses seller here, there are a lotttt of people how hates sunglasses for the same reason Colleen does how ever ,colleen you should try the sporty ones with a brown lens and I assure you it will be better tho they are kinda ugly😅

I feel the same way. I wear them when I’m outside or driving BUT if I’m looking at anything or trying to find something I always lift them up to see better. It like alters my vision. It’s like when people ask why someone brightness on their phone is so low how can you possibly see anything with such a dark screen? Lol I feel understood but I love sunnies, just can’t see well out of them ugh
I too hated wearing sunglasses because I also feel like it obstructs my vision, HOWEVER… I have blue eyes, and my eyes are VERY sensitive to the light. I went in to order some prescription sunglasses, and the associate changed my life forever!!! Sunglasses have different hues and opacities to their tints! I learned that light grey tinted lenses are the most natural and mild to look through, and will appear as the most similar to just your naked eye! Warm tinted lenses tend to darken your sight, and blue/green lenses (I believe) brighten what you see through them. Go into a place like LensCrafters or Sunglass Hut and explain what you’re looking for and your qualms with wearing sunglasses and they can show you some different tints so you can see for yourself! Don’t even get me started with polarized lenses, you’d triple your rock haul while rock hounding being able to see through the water at all those shiny rocks!!! 🪨✨😎
Sleeping like that can cause serious issues. I have something called positional cervical kyphosis and it’s from improper posture. Keep an eye on him. If he complains of neck pain etc.
I did the same thing as Flinn the solution was 2 pillows one vertical and one flat on the bed.
My husband loves sunglasses so much he gets prescription ones too. I almost exclusively wear them as a summer hair accessory to fit in! Who needs em? 🗑️ 😂
