so fun having erik’s brother on this podcast for a bit! if he happens to see this comment thank you so much for all the hard work you do behind the scenes! much appreciated!!
2018 Erik: Is shy and doesn't really want to be on the internet 2022 Erik three years into a pandemic, with newborn twins and a toddler: tells a story on his podcast to thousands of people how he almost shat in his boxer briefs
I also live in Austin- hearing Erik's brother does too I feel I need to share this for Flynn! If you ever find yourselves in Texas, a new amusement park opened in Katy where kids can operate construction vehicles called Dig World!
Aww I feel really bad that Erik had to quit working on good trouble. He was really excited about that show. I don’t think he’s been given enough credit for being a wonderful husband and father he is for choosing his family over his career. He’s just amazing!
I totally understand, Eric loves his children but he doesn’t enjoy babies. He loves them but he can also acknowledge that they have taken over his entire life. He misses who he was before kids. He can love his babies but can also be very excited for when they’re finally not babies anymore.
I had my daughter at 19 and feel like I never truly got to know myself or enjoy independence... I love her entire being but it absolutely is hard "losing" that part of yourself.
💯 I also appreciate that Colleen shares her feelings about how difficult it all is on her vlogs. I wish she wasn’t SO conscious of the people that might judge her for it. I wish she would talk without reservation like Erik does.
I teared up hearing Erik talk about how he just knew that he would need to give up Good Trouble for a bit. Imagine how loved your babies will feel later in life knowing that their dad decided to give up something super important in order to take care of them and their momma
anyone else just in awe of Erik making that decision for Colleen and his family?? Seriously such a gem you have there, Colleen!!! Also this podcast has been my favorite thing since it started. I've watched Colleen in all capacities for a long time, but getting to see Erik open up and talk so much is truly the best and seeing their dynamic makes me so happy. ALSO -- I think it's so valid for Erik to love and be obsessed with his children but just be exhausted by babies needing him 24/7. I get that it must be so hard and I can't imagine being needed by 3 little beings all the time. I hope you guys can get rest soon!
FOR ERIK: The way he feels about the baby stage is the way I feel about my sons current toddler phase. And a quote I stand by to get me through tough days with him is this: the days are long but the years are short. I tell myself this to remind myself it won't last and I'll miss this when it's over.
You’re a mom, dads don’t always have the same capacity to handle the really hard stuff about parenthood, it’s probably the love hormones in breast milk, or just their brains, that connects mothers more to their children. That quote is more moving and effective for mothers than dads.
I’m SO DEAD at erik !! 😂😂 he had Colleen believing DC is just a marketing company or something and only marvel makes superhero’s !! The thing that gets me is he never breaks character! He just agrees so smoothly !

I’m going to binge watch Good Trouble. I love that Erik chose to be home. My husband works 100+ miles away and it definitely isn’t easy. Being there for your family looks different in each family. I’m so happy they acknowledged that not everyone has a choice. I fully agree he made the right choice.
He isn’t saying he doesn’t enjoy the babies special moments, He is saying after his own babies get older, he is DONE with every baby in the universe, there’s nothing wrong with that, I completely feel the same way about my kids
i can feel and relate to Eric's who needs to relax so much this week, as a single mom I have a very demanding 6 month old girl plus a 7 year old boy...yes just relax baby and go with the flow / so over the baby stage and fixing all the crying lol. There’s definitely been many times that I’ve heard you guys say “ cut that part out Chris” and start the whole sentence Over 🤣 older episodes but it was so fun to see a *behind the scenes*
I thought the "Picture of Puppets here" was intentional because there have been many times you guys say a picture will be up and it isn't and you mention it probably won't happen. So when that popped up I almost spit out my water laughing.
Erik. The decision you made for your career based on personal life and the fact that it slightly hurt the show, is so relatable. my dad did the same exact thing, (he has a corporate job) for me and my brother a few weeks ago, and we are teenagers. so I totally get it. love you guys!

12 years later and I still don't miss the baby days. I have wonderful memories and cherish those beautiful moments but I personally enjoy each and every day our daughter becomes more of the epic adult human she is on her way to being.
Same! I also never understood ppl that said their grown adult children are still like their babies. "You'll always be my little baby girl/boy!" I imagine I'm the opposite. My hub and I love to see our twins growing and turning into the ppl they'll end up being. Can't even imagine that those were my babies once haha.

I feel like they won’t because they will still be holding a grudge. Aww 😮 Erik being on Good Trouble was the only reason I watched and it's how I ended up binge watching the Fosters. I hope you know Colleen 's Mom community supports you too! We support you and can't wait to watch whatever project comes next!
Colleens gotten a lot of criticism lately and I don’t necessarily think its unwarranted… but since I started watching the podcast I think I realize partially why. Erik is far more mature, self-aware & diplomatic. He’s a selfless and well rounded person. In comparison to him, any persons flaws would shine brightly… I don’t think Colleen is a bad person- she’s someone who has more unhealthy habits and behaviours compared to her husband, sure. she maybe has less control and self awareness on when she’s being unfair, obnoxious or honestly just a little dumb (no offense). but if she wanted to better herself it’s more than possible. I don’t think she’s all out for views/ money, nor that she’s this controlling, invalidating monster some people have been calling her. Watching her content you can quickly tell she’s kind, her hearts in the right place, she’s loving and lovable. She just has further to go on her journey to becoming a healthy, well rounded human. Also add in that she has a massive audience who she bares all of her soul to, when any creator does that they end up showing parts of their humanity that aren’t that hot. So maybe WE as her AUDIENCE SHOULD RELAX with how harshly we judge her. We’re all only human after all, we get this content for free- and it’s interesting to watch a person grow and flourish. I’m gonna start and just be thankful she allows us to see in a window to her interesting chaotic world.
Sleep paralysis is one of the scariest things I had to deal with. Certain medications can cause it or make it worse! If you're on prescribed medications, I would definitely talk to your doctor. I had to switch medications because it was getting too intense for me. I hope it gets better soon and its definitely not "normal" lol
Again Colleen dismissing Erik and his opinion. I have twins and in the midst of their baby phase and afterwards (to this day) my hubby and I said, we're done with babies. Don't wanna see babies, have no need to meet babies, don't wanna watch babies on TV, thank you, no thank you. And then Colleen went off about tiktok and her opinion MOMENTS LATER as if Erik was putting her down (just like she did him a few moments before about the baby thing + trying to change his mind with WELL WAIT TILL YOU HEAR THIS)! If my hubby says he loves babies/has a different opinion I say good for you. You do you! She can't. Reminded me of the moms that come to you while you're sitting in baby throw up, used up your two extra outfits that got ruined, can't find the wipes, babies hysterically crying and saying IT GOES BY SO FAST, YOU HAVE TO ENJOY EVERY MINUTE. I guess it's time to unsubscribe, she's triggering me since her daddy blues vlog.
This feels like the most intimate video I’ve ever seen of “influencers”. Seeing how you interact with eachother, the dynamic changes make me feel like I am seeing who you are when the cameras aren’t on. Not that you are drastically different but the more nuanced things and your mannerisms. It’s so beautiful. It was humbling/ humanizing.
Ok I need The Stocklins to bottle some of that amazing chill they possess and send it my way! Just another reason Erik is Colleen’s perfect match. He’s the chill to her beautiful chaos.
I really like the end talk about Good Trouble. I love that even when Erik is this tired, broken and done, he CHOSE to be next to his wife to support her at every step. They are such a cute couple. Not everyone quits their job because they want to spend time with their family, most people would choose the other way. Love them.
The DC/Marvel discussion was waaayyy to funny hahahah I almost peed my pants listening to Colleen saying "timeout" and being so sure about Marvel making the only Superhero-Movies xD
I almost died watching good trouble and saw Erik on the laptop and I just kept screaming THATS THE BEDROOM HES FILMING AT HOME was HIGHKEY expecting a quick sneaky glimpse of Flynn or a baby yelling in that one bit 🤣 glad Erik was able to film for work at home!!!
On Erik’s baby stage aversion: I can relate! And I’m a mom. And sometimes it makes me feel bad. I LOVE my kids and I would do anything for them. But I’m over the baby stage and I don’t want to do it again. 🤣 I still watch videos and scroll through photos of that time and think back with fondness, but it’s a LOT and I’ve had to do a lot of it solo bc my husband is a travel nurse. All that to say, just wanted to reach out and share that I’m with ya.
I love how Chris is like "You know that movie that you've definitely never seen" (16:50) because we know by now that Colleen isn't a movie person but this time she's actually seen the movie he's referencing.
Awwwww I love Good Trouble and literally binge watched it last year just because Erik was going to be on. So I’m sad, but……it is so commendable you put family first……I just know there will be many more opportunities for you though and look forward to seeing your future on new shows.
Hi Chris! Thank you for editing the podcast because it's one of my favorite parts of the week. Now when those funny editing moments happen, I'll know who is behind them lol. Also, that sleep paralysis sounds so awful! Colleen and Erik, can we get some merch that is a cartoon version of Erik telling a baby to relax? lol I'm probably the only person who wants that. When Erik said that he would never deal with a crying baby again, I flashed forward to one day when Erik is a Grandpa lol
as a single mom of an almost 5 month old who has never had even an hour away from my daughter I can definitely relate to things being hard. I appreciate that you understood as some of us don’t have a single person around to help. I wish you nothing but happiness and peace with your new babies, it can be tough but the moments go by way too fast.
I have horrible health anxiety and I relate so much to Erik basically being like “respectfully shut up I cannot hear this anymore” 😂😂 I will leave the room when people talk about stuff like this because I know it will trigger me lol
I was so sad when I realised Erik wouldn't be back on Good Trouble but it's such a joy to listen to this podcast and to see your life and family in vlogs. Matt was such a lovely character and I wish we had gotten to see the song!!! They never release anything that was cut but I really wish they would with that....
I started getting sleep paralysis in like 6th grade (I'm in highschool now). My best hack is to just try to take the deepest breath you can, so you move enough to wake yourself up. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but other that, try to fall asleep in a position where you won't block your airways. Thank you if you read all of that, I know it's kind of long.
aw man, i’m so sad to hear about erik’s scenes being cut for good trouble, i loved his character and loved seeing him on the show but i totally understand the need to step back especially considering the babies, i hope he’s able to come back later on! 💗
I saw the headboard a mile away watching the good trouble episode! I was like that is there real bedroom! My husband and I love listening to you guys! Edit: I have to also add this is by far one of my favorite episodes!!!!! The look on Eric's face when his brother started talking about sleep paralysis he looks so stressed! Its ok Eric!
I used to get sleep paralysis all the time to where I couldn’t breathe and I would major panic. But I realized if I fully exhaled and relaxed, I would come out of it. And once I wasn’t scared of it happening anymore since I knew how to get out of it, it happens way less. Like maybe once every couple years now. Works for me, best of luck to anyone out there goin thru it!!
Can someone explain why Colleen is allowed to complain and be sad and upset and emotional everyday, but if Erik opens his mouth and expresses himself he gets told why he’s wrong by Colleen? Something doesn’t add up there for me.
I think part of it is Colleen not wanting people to cancel Erik. She's always worried about saying something that will offend people so I can see why her downplaying Erik is her responce to being on the internet for years and not wanting any hate to come their way. Not saying I know the whole situation but it's my take on it
Y'all is it bad that I've always listened to this podcast at 2x speed? It's not that I don't enjoy it (I love it I really do), but it's just that I listen to it while procrastinating on work I'm supposed to be doing so I watch it at 2x speed to make sure I get through the whole episode and then get back to doing my work lol
Oh my. The Stocklin boys are just too relatable rn haha. Between Chris' sleep paralysis and Erik needing his temp checked. My thermometer is has kept me sane since the pandemic began. Oh and to help avoid sleep paralysis avoid sleeping on your back.
Im genuinely shattered that chris didnt stay for the whole time omg it was like getting to stay up later than bedtime and listen to the adults talk as a kid awwwww
I became a single mom at 21 and it was unbelievably hard. I was so tired I would just burst into tears all the time. It was the loneliest and most miserable time of my life, so much so that I never wanted to have another kid. However last year I did have another baby with my partner of 4 years and it was amazing. I've been able to appreciate how much I missed out on the first time around now that I have someone to share all of this wonderful and stressful baby stuff with. You guys are incredible and I have been loving listening to you during the long late night nursing sessions.
I'm 15.5 years deep of being a single momma of two amazing girls. Its been hard, not going to lie. But its gotta be done. Their is no giving up or quitting. Those 2 girls depend on me every single day. I've broken down so many times in the last 15 years, not knowing how we were going to make it through another day... but here we are... still thriving. My girls are my world and theirs nothing I wouldn't do for them. They definitely keep me going. You got this guys!!!! You're both amazing parents. Even on those really hard days!! Give yourselves a little more credit for all that you do!!!

Very very scary experience!
I kind of love that Erik’s “relax” is like halfway through due to such natural flow of the conversation. No rushing, love it.
AWWW so nice to see Chris ❤
i love seeing the dynamic between erik and chris, it's so nice to see someone from his family and see how much alike they are
This feels like the most intimate video I’ve ever seen of “influencers”.
He’s the chill to her beautiful chaos.
idea: do this podcast once live on this channel and see if u would like it i feel like that would be fun and people can give y’all questions and stuff
PLEASE I cannot handle how stressed Erik looks at 10:26 that is the funniest moment on this podcast in almost 60 episodes
I always watch it in 2x speed! haha thats how I listen to all videos.
same i found out i could do that recently and now im addicted someone stop me
Same!
When I forgot to change it everyone sounds like they talk sooooo slow.
Omg it’s so weird seeing you here, Sims God
I don’t watch your speedbuilds in 2x!
Love having Erik’s brother on! He was awesome!
I am living for Chris's Costco shirt 😆 we love a Kirkland stan ❤
i love that chris is wearing a kirkland brand t shirt as they literally talked about on the podcast omg
I love how Chris is like "You know that movie that you've definitely never seen" (16:50) because we know by now that Colleen isn't a movie person but this time she's actually seen the movie he's referencing.
Oh i will miss you Erik on Good Trouble but i respect his love and dedication to his family. That was absolutely the right choice for you.
When Erik said that he would never deal with a crying baby again, I flashed forward to one day when Erik is a Grandpa lol
aweee this is so cute ab erik flash forward to him as a grandpa he’ll be so happy
Chris is lovely!❤️ And now they have the puppets!! Can't wait for the puppet episode next week🤩🤩
I think that Flynn does know where the item you are requesting is. He is doing it purpose to make you laugh. He is such a natural. God bless him! ❤️
THE KIRKLAND SIGNATURE SHIRT LMAO
Good thing Erik followed his intuition with staying home with Collean! You're both great parents!
@erik ~ so proud of you for choosing your fam over your career when it really mattered! you are truly a gem! 💗
Erik is amazing! ❤️
Erik is such a amazing actor! I hope to see him win a award.
Hello to the whole Relax gang!! Thanks for keeping a girl entertained 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼☀️💝
as a single mom of an almost 5 month old who has never had even an hour away from my daughter I can definitely relate to things being hard.
Just gotta say, Colleen’s hair in this podcast is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
So glad Erik stood up to you about his feelings being valid. Can't believe you still haven't addressed your dismissal of him.
aw man, i’m so sad to hear about erik’s scenes being cut for good trouble, i loved his character and loved seeing him on the show but i totally understand the need to step back especially considering the babies, i hope he’s able to come back later on!
Colleens superhero knowledge is wonderful. Favourite thing ever. I'm in tears...
Erik’s “That’s so cute” was so hilarious 😂 and
Major props to Erik for putting his family above fame. So respectable and makes me love him even more
I used to get sleep paralysis all the time to where I couldn’t breathe and I would major panic.
I have noticed this too and I thought I was the only one.
I think part of it is Colleen not wanting people to cancel Erik. She's always worried about saying something that will offend people so I can see why her downplaying Erik is her responce to being on the internet for years and not wanting any hate to come their way. Not saying I know the whole situation but it's my take on it
Omg please have guests on the podcast more often! This was so fun!!
Literally SAME!!!!!!
@16:50 THE WAY ERIK LOOKED INTO THE CAMERA☠️☠️😂 HES SOOO DONE WITH THAT CONVERSATION 😩😂
Remember when Erik wanted a Kirkland shirt? His brother literally has one!
Oh my. The Stocklin boys are just too relatable rn haha. Between Chris' sleep paralysis and Erik needing his temp checked. My thermometer is has kept me sane since the pandemic began. Oh and to help avoid sleep paralysis avoid sleeping on your back.
wow I respect Erik’s decision to not continue filming so much, that seems like such a hard decision to make
Erik with the baby talk again😂 it’s so funny and so relatable
Im genuinely shattered that chris didnt stay for the whole time omg it was like getting to stay up later than bedtime and listen to the adults talk as a kid awwwww
chris is so cool omg, he seems like the sweetest 😭 i loved this ep
Poor Erik was freaking out!😂
I became a single mom at 21 and it was unbelievably hard.
LOL I recognized your headboard in that scene
I'm 15.5 years deep of being a single momma of two amazing girls. Its been hard, not going to lie. But its gotta be done. Their is no giving up or quitting. Those 2 girls depend on me every single day. I've broken down so many times in the last 15 years, not knowing how we were going to make it through another day... but here we are... still thriving. My girls are my world and theirs nothing I wouldn't do for them. They definitely keep me going. You got this guys!!!! You're both amazing parents. Even on those really hard days!! Give yourselves a little more credit for all that you do!!!
Colleen at 41:42-41:48 literally beginning to tick lol her eye is literally starts twitching lol as Erik tries to explain his feelings about the babies.
The tenseness was palpable
Chris: "And now I've been here... your lives... SEEMS PRETTY EASY" LOL ❤️
So cool to see the similar mannerisms/speech between Erik and Chris! Lol
LOVE seeing Chris hang out for a bit!
I'm glad to meet / see Erick's brother another Stocklin ( hope I spelled it right) . I just enjoy the podcast.
Erik :)
Erik had the best relax thus far lmfao
i agree babies just need to relax !
The love I have for this podcast is insane
