This is truly an amazing castle and really would love to be able to own this and can just think of a few other people with chateaus who would love to visit am sure! This gives everyone what they may want when visiting and you can certainly enjoy all seasons of the year. Formal and yet so relaxing in nature, So much history! That is important to me and to think how much time and love the owners before have put into this castle and this alone makes one want to only change what we must as never want to lose the richness of the history and yet keep it up in a way the home deserves. Seul les pauvres peuvent se permettre de rêver. L'acheter est une chose, y vivre et l'entretenir en est une autre. Les riches ne veulent plus de ses patrimoines irremplaçables. Trop d'argent à investir et surtout, trop de contraintes concernant certaines modifications que l'on veut y ajouter. Très belle demeure, la façade semble inspirée du palais de justice de Rouen pour les hautes fenêtres et de l’Hotel Jacques Coeur de Bourges pour la frise, les sculptures en hauteur et les fenêtres basses. l'intérieur est plus banal, du néo gothque classique mais bien réalisé tout de même.

Vernon is 18 min away for shopping. I deleted the outscirts as it is more like in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking. At least we know now🙃

C'est un chateau merveilleux :) J'aime tout mais je voudrais souligner les fauteuils bleu clair dans le salon, les lustres (9:40) les vaisselles de cuivre (sur l'escalier et dans la cuisine), la petite espace dans la tour (13:25) pour se préparer... Merci :)

I'm head over heels in love; this chateau is the closest thing that I have seen to a fairy tale castle- massively impressive, but it's not so grand in size that it's not do- able; just wondering where the servants quarters were / are ? And why no tour of the Gate House?

Très belle demeure, la façade semble inspirée du palais de justice de Rouen pour les hautes fenêtres et de l’Hotel Jacques Coeur de Bourges pour la frise, les sculptures en hauteur et les fenêtres basses. l'intérieur est plus banal, du néo gothque classique mais bien réalisé tout de même.

Edit: I finally found the place. It's called Château de Chesnay-Haguest and near a little village Vexin-sur-Epte. Vernon is 18 min away for shopping. I deleted the outscirts as it is more like in the middle of nowhere, relatively speaking. At least we know now🙃
