I am a hairdresser, it appears that the clay/apple cider treatment has clarified her hair color and has neutralized her hair color which is a good thing. Her ends were looking a little brassy. You would get the same result in a salon with clarifying shampoo and a toner. I’d say this is a win!
I don't know if you're still using Amla Fruit powder or any other green colored ingredients but I had to stop using your oil growth mixture for that reason after a couple of applications. I have gray hair and at one point they were very brittle and porous and after using your hair growth oil, my hair turned green. Now I focus on the basics, baking soda wash, apple cider vinegar rinse and occasionally clay or Castile soap wash. No heat tool either. After many months my hair finally came back to their natural color. Be careful if you have gray or white hair. Love your work!
I have been doing clay washes in braids for a year now. I went through a long period of being profoundly anemic during which my hair thinned out and got very brittle. While I am not really seeing length yet, the hair is coming in much thicker and looking much healthier. I am so happy with the results. Thank you!
The clay wash has definitely changed my life! My hair falls out much less and it’s longer than ever before!!! Also feels so healthy as well! Thanks to your sister in law for being in the video it is helpful as I have straight hair!
I love how you girls add humor to the mix, you even had ME laughing! Your SIL's hair looks thicker, shinier, and healthier than before, amazing results! Thank you both for this video and keep up the good work!😊
Dear Katherine, you have such nice finger movements, I actually relaxed when you were doing the massage. The video is very beautiful! More of these please.
Seems like your sister in law does have wavy hair. Which is great, would like to see your full routine on her hair texture with the styling too. I have wavy hair also between 2A or 2b.
As a woman almost 60, with fine dark hair that is thinning, I enjoy seeing the hair care of your sister-in-law’s straight hair. I have ordered the hair oil and need to study these other products. 💕Polska! (1/2 🙂)
Katherine, thanks so very much on your tip to section your hair into 4 braids prior to washing. It truly does help prevent excess hair fallout, the difference was huge! I love your videos and you're such an inspiration! 💟 those who are new to the lhc really appreciate these kinds of videos ☺
The issue, for me, with ACV is the smell. I am excited you are working on a product! Your different background music choices on this video were really well done, also. And, if I haven’t already written this in a previous comment, I absolutely love that blow dryer that you recommended. It is, by far, the best quality dryer I have ever owned (I am 60) and the room temp, or 88 degree, setting is a total game changer.
I saw your video with Edita (sorry if that's spelt wrong) about victorian combing about a week ago and haven't washed my hair since! Doesn't sound like long but I usually wash literally every other day. I've just started exploring the idea of cleaning without shampoo since my hair already feels a lot better and healthier just from combing and using the cornflour powder if I absolutely need to to make it cleaner for filming
thank you for bringing this wisdom up front, I am on a 10 year no dhampoo journey and you have been teaching me how to solve my bothering issues with your amazing knowledge and understanding of the chemistry needed, thank you!
Thank you for sharing your natural hair care knowledge, I have started using clay and apple cider vinegar and my hair feels so much stronger, healthier and more beautiful! I always felt my hair was not as healthy as it should have been even after buying expensive natural shampoos and conditioners but after using your methods my hair truly feels transformed! From brushing everyday to using essential oil and jojoba, olive and castor oil, I have easily fully embrassed your methods and just love how my hair feels now! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thanks so much! Keep up the great work!
Perhaps make a chamomile tea, alllow to cool and add to the clay when watering it down. Chammomile is great for blonde hair as is red wine vinegar is for brunette coloured hair.
I just wanted to say that I so appreciate your videos and look forward to the next one. I am currently on my clay wash journey, and loving it so far. Keep up the great work! You and Edita make a good team. 🌺🌼🌸
Thanks for having your sister as a demo. I have similar hair type to hers and was wondering if a clay wash would define and hold my waves but it looks like a no for me lol but this saved me from wasting money on another curly hair treatment that doesn’t work on us wavies
Sure, I mix it up like a mask type consistency and place on my face for while and I find that it starts to dissolve the freckle patches on my face that I get with the Sun. I was born a red-head and seem to get these, if I have too much sun on my face. Hope that helps, let me know.
Her hair looks thicker at the top but it also looks darker 😊Maybe some of the herbs had a slow darkening effect or brought out the color that is already there. Her hair looks stronger
i have very fine straight hair and i do a clay wash a few times a week. i find that the clay thickens my hair giving it more volume and texture and my hair gets lots of loose waves
I've been applying my husband's sandlewood beard oil to my knee-length hair and boar bristle brushing. Wearing a headband instead of using hairspray and trying to remember to wear a satin bonnet when I sleep. Baby boy is 6 months old, and I think the postpartum hair loss is starting to slow down.
@ewe392 Yeah, because hair loss is slower during pregnancy because of hormones. About 4-5 months postpartum, you might experience a lot of thinning, but then it starts growing back.
Applying apple cider vinegar in a little pump bottle seems oddly impractical to me, though. Is there a reason, you're nor just dunking the hair in bowl with water and some vinegar in it? It seems that that would ensure that it gets everywhere perfectly evenly and not just, where it gets hit with a shot during application.
Clay wash glow-up is real! 🙌 Love how it strengthens hair, but Biotin from NutraHarmony keeps my locks growing long and strong too. Anyone else mixing up their routine?
If anyone’s worried, I have very light blonde hair and used rhassoul clay to wash and it did not make my hair darker- in fact it looks very bright as if I just washed it with shampoo

I’ve started using your system. I’m currently at chin length with layers. I can get it into two stubby little braids. The first clay wash was kind of a disaster but I’m not giving up! Also, I’ve gotten to where I really look forward to the herbal infusion every morning. Thank you!
I’ve been using your oil since early July. My hair was in a shorter Bob, now it’s touching my shoulders. I’m still confused with clay wash. Would I use the whole bottle with that recipe on my hair? If not, will it keep until the next wash? Would I keep it in the fridge or can it stay in my shower? I look forward to your full line. My hair is curly frizzy.
