I got my late 2018 and still use it today! It's robust as well compared to most mine has taken some hits over the years from the intense environments I was in while shooting. I had lent my camera to my sister for a little while when her Sony broke. I had her watch this video to understand it's use quickly and I learned a few things I didn't know as well as she learned some very useful information for even her Sony after she got it back. I appreciate your time you put into making this video it is certainly a gem in a large sea of videos on yt modernly. I'm saving my pennies up for a new camera but will never ditch my b500 completely.
I was checking reviews in youtube to buy this camera, including most western youtubers talking only about the Optical Zoom. But u did a great job this is called detailed and perfect review, keep going u have the content just improve ur background and video quality. U will be one of the greatest youtubers to take tutorials. Thank for the detailed review.

Great! Saved! Just got camera this week, learning all over again. Have a dog that is I'll and want to take better photos of her while she is with us instead of off my phone. Now have to learn quickly how to transfer pictures to phone, etc.

Amazing video! I've had my coolpix b500 for almost 3 years now, but sadly I never payed much attention to its settings and basically just point and shoot most of the times. I do get some nice shots when I'm lucky tho, but it just doesn't feel right to me. Not gonna lie, I've blamed on my camera many times for being frustrated, but I'm starting to give a chance to learning how to correctly use its settings. I should've started earlier, but it's better late than never, right? Hahahaha. Thank you for all the tips! 😊
I have had my L340 for over six years it's still working... Kind of because now after 60% optical zoom the image position jumps with a clunking sound. I've found a used B500 that comes with everything in the box. My l340 has 20 megapixel but b500 has 16 megapixel why did Nikon reduce this? I mostly use the zoom for air show and comic con for guest talks. I've had some amazing photos of celebrities at movie premieres too with the l340 from a distance and fireworks too. Excited for the b500 to arrive this week. I got the l340 six years ago for £100 brand new. B500 £120 used, Nikon must produce more bridge cameras ❤️

Is there a way to permanently adjust the exposure compensation instead of adjusting it every time to power up the camera? my camera is washing out the photos w/o the adjustment, TY!

@jimkoutroulis8295 I have tried light trails and they look great. Never tried star trails. For star trails, a sturdy tripod and correct focus may help.

@@agarwalsonika7 being somewhat insane. Think want 2nd camera for video. See GoPro actually affordable but no zoom Sony fry x3000 is optically stabilized. The camcorder hdr cx405 looks best to me 60x zoom. Yes 1080p 60fps. And micro sd card

You will need the Snapbridge App for connecting your camera to your phone. There is no other way I guess.

How is this camera for taking wide-angle pictures? like of a house and rooms to post pictures of open houses for a good buyers view.
Yes it will give you good wide shots. Better with a tripod.

If you are starting, I suggest you make 4-5 vlogs with your mobile. Then if you like it, then only buy a camera.
