Facts. With the right driver, & some tweeks like a air filter & lil spray for boost a 5.7 could walk you. If he's really experienced he could snatch those gears right. Or knows how to float or speed shift without the clutch it could get out hole on you quick. The 5.7 will give you a good run.

My new RT will arrive any day now. 2nd Challenger of someone rear ended and wrote off my V6. Super pumped about moving up the ladder and getting more power.
I own a SRT 392 and have test driven an RT5.7. Of course I went with the SRT 392 for many more reasons than the power alone. However the 5.7 hooks up better since it’s lower power keeps from roasting the tires. My SRT 392 spins like crazy if the tires are cold or all seasons. I opted for the 6 speed to avoid MDS lifter roller failure issue. However when racing the 8A is king.
It’s nice they brought back the challengers Camaros and new style mustangs It’s also great to see you young kids getting into these cars instead of the rice rockets In my younger days in the 70s I had a 67 coronet RT with a 440 magnum and a 69 Camaro Sold them years ago dumb
I’ve owned a 5.7l Charger with the garbage 5 speed and a Scat Pack Charger. The 5.7l hemi has a bunch of potential and is more practical in street conditions. But if you can hook your 392, there’s no way stock for stock the 5.7l stands a chance.
Oh that's what that noise was then. I had did a mid muff-delete and while the car is still cold there is a slight rattle but it must be because i still have the active exhaust operational.
how many mile is on the T/A...I BELIEVE the horse power is held back till it hits 1250 miles then the computor lets out the rest of the HP..it kinda forces you to break it in...my T/A got alot faster after 1200 miles...the wheels broke free on a 40 mile an hour roll
I really like your channel, but can I suggest you find a location where you can actually race these other cars, you are into and out of the throttle so fast in most of these clips that it really is just showing who happened to get the better launch, in the first race here for instance, you guys lift out of it as he is starting to rail past you, and based on the time, you guys likely haven't even covered an 1/8th mile at that point, if you head a bit farther out of town you might be able to find a good 1/4 mile stretch. Might be a lot safer for the rest of us in Mexico as well :)

Everyday Muscle I had a challenger scatpack 6 speed MANUAL with Atturo 275s and I got 0-60 In 4.3. A friend of mine has a charger scatpack with the same tires and he got 3.9 0-60. So yes it’s possible... If anything, the rating dodge gives it is underrated.
Lights Off I’m getting 4.4 0-60s on stock 245s if it doesn’t spin . But on my drag radials 3.8 - 0-60s consistently . The problem is people turning the traction control off you can’t pedal it better than the computer theses new cars have amazing traction control system let them do there thing and you will be faster
_ta_392 on my hellcat i just got nittos 315s on the back and 275 front and all i gotta say is that its a ton better. The 275s that came with it are just horrible

I absolutely love them all, but people knock the 5.7 and its nothing to sneeze at, in the streets around town, the horsepower is very usable on the 5.7, now take those cars out on the interstate and do 50 or 60 mph rolls, bye bye 5.7, but still the 5.7 is plenty fast to get you in trouble, mine runs 0 to 60 best time 5.1 seconds. I love them all though, my next one will probably be a hellcat!!

392s really need some soft 305 or 315s. The stock tires arent worth a damn for traction even if they are a bit better than the 245s that most of the others come with. I have the yellow jacket version of the T/A and I love it. Except for everyone wants to call it bumblebee. O_o lol

I have a 350z and I beat a 5.7 on a roll race ,but I do have headers and Cai and coil overs,but you definitely need 285 on there , and run about 25 PSI then you'll hookup

Set your screen to show you what gear the trans is in while driving normal and pay attention to how fast that shit shifts. You'll be in 6 or 7th gear at 40mph

I'm missing something here. In addition to the tire difference, there's over 100 HP difference. If it's a 392 you need drag radials to hook properly. On AVERAGE, the 392 is about a full second quicker than an R/T.
"functional" Hood scoops is only truly functional if you are ramming air directly into the manifold. This "functional" Hood is only going to make your engine dirty quicker. But at least it can help cool lot the engine.. I guess.

I’ve owned and modded a Challenger RT and now have a stock 2018 TA 392. Both 6 speeds. No comparison. 392 is a beast. Love them both.

392 is an insane engine. not only is it powerful hp wise but the torque kicks in so early, that's what makes it special.
The 5.7 is a great engine, if your not drag racing it is super value gives you the Hemi sound and get better MPG.
The 6.4 gives virtually identical MPG...but with the added HP and Tq.

RT owner is FOS. It's either a debadged SRT with a RT hood or has nitrous on it. NO WAY will a 485hp SRT get gapped by a 375hp RT like that.

I have 275 Nittos on my Scatpack. They are great tires but I break traction so easy that it could be dangerous.
Put some 305's on it and that should solve the problem.
